- The installation process and tuning control of the SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning (Smart System). SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning uses Bluetooth technology to connect your e-bike to your smartphone.
Do not update Bosch motors with Smart System.
New update (Software version 11.13.0) causes incompatibility with the product and we highly recommend to avoid downloading of this update.

hi, warranty?? that after installing the speedbox 1.1, the bosch system disables the tuning and puts the bike into emergency mode after driving 100-200 km. Or is the bike owner willing to take this risk??? Can you take responsibility...?
Thank you for your respectful reply
Hello.
If you follow the recommendations on our site, limp mode should not appear. If you take the e-bike to a service station, uninstall the SpeedBox first so that your warranty is not compromised. Otherwise, the e-bike owner is responsible for the warranty. Thanks for understanding. www.speedbox-tuning.com/p/p-speedbox-1-1-for-bosch-smart-system#1922
Thank you !@@SpeedBoxTuning
the price cannot be bargained for a bit👌👍✌
@@Gojzer Next year the prices may be a little higher. We haven't raised the price of our products for a year and a half 🙂
I see that I get prepared answers to all questions🥰🥰🥰@@SpeedBoxTuning
When you have driven your bike with the speedbox activated and then put your bike away and let it go to sleep/stand-by. Do you then have to activate the speedbox again when you want to go for your next ride or is it still activated?
Hello. Tuning is deactivated when the e-bike is switched off and should be re-activated when switched on.
Hello!
Quick question: last week I bought a Cube Longtail Hybrid Sport (Kiox 300 and Bosch Cargo Line) and I would like to tune it. Based on the information in your website, Speedbox 1.1 and 1.1b are not compatible with Bosch Cargo Line gen 4 motor. Will you release any new product soon for Bosch Cargo Line gen 4?
Thanks in advance!
Hello.
The combination of Cargo Line motor and Smart System is not widely used, but our product SpeedBox 1.1 (B.Tuning) for Bosch is compatible with your e-bike 🙂
Do you do tuning for Yamaha motors? And if so do they have the the 4 strikes and your out 504 errors
Hello. No. Yamaha motors are not yet known to have implemented tuning detection 🙂
Do you recommend a maximum speed of 35 kilometers per hour for driver safety or for bike engine safety?
Hello.
There are many aspects of a Smart System that can affect tuning detection. That's why we try to prevent them. A maximum speed of 35 km/h is one of the recommendations.
Hello there,
Can someone explain me whats the difference between the Speedbox 1.0(b) vs Speedbox 1.1(b)?
I just bought 3days ago the 1.0(b) and saw today this Video where they present the 1.1(b).
:(
Hello.
Manufacturers of e-bikes with Bosch motors and the Smart system devote a lot of effort to detecting tuning. That's why we developed the new SpeedBox 1.1 product with "simplified" communication compared to the previous version SpeedBox 1.0 to eliminate the risk of tuning detection. More information can be found on our website www.speedbox-tuning.com/p/speedbox-1-1-for-bosch#1922
Hello! So do you have to change wheel size or is it enough just go in wheel diameter page in purion display?
Hello,
You just need to go to the menu for the wheel circumference, you don't have to change anything. This step is necessary during installation, after that it is not needed 😎
Hi! I have new bosch gen 4 with Smart system but only with led remote. Can i make it work without Led screen?
Hello.
Yes, but only with the B.Tuning version, which you pair with the SpeedBox App to see tuning activation/deactivation and real riding data.
unfortunately after 5 months and 800 km, I also got the famous 524001 error for the first time :(. I tried to apply all your recommendations as good as possibly on the speedbox 1.1, but it still got detected. Now wondering what I shall do. First I will need to cycle for 90 minutes to fix it again.
Hello.
90 minutes is the maximum. In practise, a few tens of minutes are enough. You can interrupt the ride. After that, we recommend riding another 10 km without tuning on. Change gears and assistance modes while riding. After that, the detection will definitely disappear.
Hi,
First of all, thank you for development of such a nice decice.
I am an owner of the speedbox 1.0B. Can you kindly tell me the difference to the 1.1B?
Thank you
Hello.
Thanks for your feedback 🙂
Generally, SpeedBox has 1.1. a slightly different way of communicating with an electric bike. It has the ability to set its own maximum speed. Compared to the previous version 1.0, it does not show real speed. The displayed speed is about 10 km lower than the actual speed. We also recommend not to increase the maximum speed setting above 35 km/h. It is one of the recommendations to avoid the risk of tuning detection.

Guten Tag.
In diesem Fall SpeedBox 1.2.
Do i nedd a display on my bike or i it work with LED Remote?
Hello.
It will work, but if you want to change the set speed, you have to look at the data in the Flow App. Or you can buy SpeedBox 1.1 B.Tuning for Bosch. B stands for Bluetooth. This product can be paired with our SpeedBox App and you can control everything with this app.
Oke thanks
Cube Flow mobile app does not work if speedbox 1.1for smart system is installed??
Hello. No, it works. But we recommend not updating the firmware of your e-bike. Updating increases the risk of tuning detection.
@SpeedBoxTuning what if I have already done the firmware update how high would be the risks of detection, has anyone tried it with the new firmware update, 3 of my friends have them on there bikes they got the speedbox 3.0 installed they fly and I'm sitting on 25km 😢 plus I spoke to one of the guys from the bike shop and he said that all of the bikes are already updated before leaving there shop
@@tomejovanovski Hello.
I'll try to explain in order 🙂 The 11.13.0 update does not concern tuning detection, it will only disable the activation and deactivation of tuning. It basically devalues our product. However, we immediately carried out a successful update of our products and are now releasing a version that is compatible with the latest update. If you have Bosch Smart System and update 11.13.0 already installed, you can order SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch at our e-shop www.speedbox-tuning.com. We will ship from next week.
Is it possible to cover 35 km in an hour with a limit of 35 just with your feet? Doesn't the risk of settings being discovered increase?
Hello.
I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly.
The maximum average speed of 35 km/h is recommended based on our experience. At that moment, the electric motor "thinks" it is going at a maximum of 25 km/h. Once you finish your ride, or if you pause for a few minutes, the actual kilometers traveled will be recalculated in the electric bike. Afterwards, the average speed and the actual distance traveled should align, which should prevent detection of the tuning.
@@SpeedBoxTuning For example, I set the limit to 35 kilometers per hour. If I exceed this speed without the motor, is there a chance that the system will recognize it?
Can I still update my enviolo automatiq shift system? Or should I also avoid doing that?
Hello. Please avoid. Bosch Smart System Software version 11.13.0 causes incompatibility with the products ordered before 05/2024.
We highly recommend to avoid downloading of this update.
Please disable automatic updates in the eBike Flow App.
@@SpeedBoxTuning I was not talking about the Bosch smart system, but about the enviolo automatiq. Which is a shifting gear that can also be updated separately via Bluetooth. So my question is, is it safe the update my enviolo automatiq shift system?
@@SvenTerbeek Hello.
Does your SpeedBox work with the Enviolo Automatic Shift system? If so, you can update the Enviolo system.
@@SpeedBoxTuning yes it does. Thanks for the answers :).
I had 2 detectons in previous 1.0b before i returned my speesbox. 35km/h would be enough for me but the other hassle you need to do to awoid detection everytime you stop riding is not good. One time you forgot to do those "manouvers" and its game over.. limp mode again. Maybe someday there is a product wich work without a risk of detection..
Hello.
We are aware of your preliminary considerations regarding our product. However, Bosch systems are deeply committed to detecting tuning, which is why some unpopular measures are necessary to prevent tuning detection as much as possible (for example, the recalibration of mileage - „the countdown“).
We recommend increased caution if another manufacturer claims that countdown is not necessary, as it is technically impossible. Recalibration is always required, but for some tuning models, it may occur discreetly in the background.
When you say detection are you talking about encounters with the police mate?
@@JoeSkiddGrass no software side
@@fubar1075 ah right ok, how to do you avoid detection?
Rosa9
Hi how can you avoid limp mode with 1.0 would u have the same problem with 1.1 ?
Hello.
Thanks to the new SpeedBox 1.0 software updates, the error 524001 occurred much less than at the beginning of sales.
And in the case of SpeedBox 1.1, the error appears even more rarely.
What is limp mode ?
@@JoeSkiddGrass When Bosch detects tuning (if a firmware update is performed or if the mileage count after each long ride is not followed), it disables the motor assistance. It is necessary to ride for several tens of minutes without assistance.
@@SpeedBoxTuning so how do I avoid this detection ?
@@JoeSkiddGrass When using SpeedBox 3.0 with Bosch motors of the 4th generation (produced in 2020 or later) it is necessary to leave the bike on after finishing the ride until a value of 0.0 km/h is displayed. During this process the remaining time will be displayed in minutes. Then it is safe to turn off your bike and you can start looking forward to your next trip.
We do not recommend updating the software of the e-bike.
