The "Natural Way" to Mix Oil & Water Without Emulsifier! *FOLDING TECHNIQUE*

- You absolutely can combine oil and water together without ever touching a separate emulsifier, such as polysorbate or emulsifying wax.
As long as you have a mixing bowl, xanthan gum and glycerine (all of which are available for all or most supermarkets), you can mix oil and water.
This has so many benefits not least amongst these is that this technique keeps the oils composition in tact. It's also a lot easier and much cheaper than buying emulsifying ingredients.
Best of all though, it's totally natural and has a much smaller impact on the environment!
Win, Win!!!
If anyone wants to know what I am using on my skin, it is the '7 days to Youth' soya serum.

So ingenious! Thanks for sharing
Thank you. My pleasure.
Thank You very much for your response!
You're welcome. ❤️
This is absolute genius! Thank you so much, it looks really lovely, just as store-bought creams! I wonder how it would turn out with Guar Gum...I guess it would still be good :) Fantastic video Joseph (by the way, your skin looks so healthy and smooth...skincare goals!
Thank you so much! Guar gum would work very well too. I find it has a bit of a nutty odour but that doesn't bother me. I hope you manage to make this and thank you again!
Awesome! I'd love to see an example of how to use it in a recipe. I'd love to use jojoba oil
Thank for this recipe!! So easy and smart.
Do you ever notice, if you get pilling after it dries on the skin, from the gums?
Thank you again, many blessings 🙏🏼
Awesome video, do you know if I could mix cbd oil into water based drinks using this method?
Thank u so much brother. I have been struggling to make all natural cream for my kids without preservative and unwanted emulsifiers just on time ur video came as a life saviour and great relief for me thank u so much i will try n let u know
That's wonderful news Geetha!!! Yes please keep me posted!
This formula has water so you will still need preservatives
@@skinguru241 my formulas and recipes are designed to be used quickly eliminating the need for preservatives. I also encourage users to keep them in the fridge. I don't like preservatives.
IS IT POSSIBLE USE THIS WHEN MIXING MY ORGANIC PLANT SPRAY AGAINST PEST? AFTER MIXING YOUR STEPS I WILL ADD/DILUTE IT WITH MORE WATER.
Hello,
Could this be used in diy toner to stop the oil from separating to the top. As well as DIY cleanser. I make a lovely cleanser for my business in which I use Casteel unscented herbal tea for the skin type adding essential oils and honey and it always seems to separate. I try to keep as natural as possible try using some of those polysorbate 80s and those things but you have to use so much and I don’t like to put so much stuff on the skin like that with this recipe that you made work to keep things from separating ? Thank you so much!
Thank you for your great question.
The answer is sadly not, because the gel this process forms is just that, a gel and not a liquid. I think the results would be slightly too viscous to be able to call it a toner.
You could use it as a gel though? And call it a toning gel? Hope that helps? ❤️
Joseph not to worry you're not alone I'm always dropping things down and knocking things over too😂😂😂
Anyways jokes apart
You are doing amazing work, keep it up👍👍👌🏻
Hehehe!!! That's funny! X
You could consider using lithia water for its high mineral content instead of tap water.
Can VG be used instead of PG?
I just ordered a Steamer inhaler to open up my sinuses and clear up the mucus in my nose and lungs. The question I want to ask is: What kind of oil should I use a few drops 2-3 in water or Emulsified oil in water? I was planning to use Reverse Osmosis water for inhaling the warm steam. What would be the best technique and safe to use with my Steamer inhaler if I am using Essential Oil drops? Any recommendations for this? 🤓 ❤ 👍 👁
Sadly I can't comment on medical conditions really but wishing you the best luck with your search. ❤️
Now how do you take this and add it to a body butter? Will it’s bind well once added?
Sadly this only works with liquid oils. 🥺
Thanks so much a got a nice gel using guar gum but l have a problem when l apply it on the skin it leaves some debris how do l get rid of those....thanks
I suggest trying a different gum. Xanthan gum tends not to 'pile' quite as much. Also, add a bit more oil. Hope this helps?
@@The.House.of.Joseph thanks i will have to try this
What about water-based perfume? Can we make it with these ingredients if xanthem and glycerine are odorless
Yes you certainly can.
how long with this recipe stick together? will it separate in the heat? How stable is this?
Once it's folded together, it remains stable and blended together for ever.
Can you add more than 1 tablespoon of oil to this recipe?
Yes! Within reason. At some point there might be too much oil for the gel to hold effectively but please play around with it..
Woukd agar powder work as well?
Hi! That's a really great question. Sadly, the answer is no.
Agar powder sets too hard and too quickly to be able to blend with the oil.
@@The.House.of.Joseph thank you!
~~~~~~APPLAUSE~~~~~~~~~
Thank you so much Pam! Love a bit of applause! X
Only thing was its too sticky and it does separate
It depends on what oil you are using.
Does the stickiness subside depending on the oil as well?
@@earthdragon183 definitely! Great question!!! Yes it certainly does! Lighter oils like coconut oil are possibly too brittle but a medium oil, such as olive oil or bakuchiol oil, works really well. I have never found any stickiness with this method.,😉
Nice recipe. Maybe hold off on saying 'guys' so much, it's very irritating.
I couldn't possibly do that!!!
What's annoying is irritating individuals such as yourself trying to tell me how to run my channel! 😡🤬
@@The.House.of.Joseph just a friendly suggestion 🤷
