Im still debating but Raleigh seems to be my vibe. But Im looking for more activities such as in taking cooking, pottery classes, painting, arts scene, kayaking, etc. You know just tings that I can do to find what I’m im passionate about.
Makes perfect sense! I'm working on a list of things to do in the area. Let's see what we can come up with. I truly believe this area has a lot to offer. Reach out with questions anytime
So exciting Mak!!! Give us a call when you're ready and we will help you find the right home at the right price. Keep in mind the process takes about 2-3 months from start to finish so if your goal is moving in June you want to reach out around March or April :)
My wife and I will have a 8 hour layover at RDU airport in April. We rented a car, where should we go? We like bars, bands and beaches.. I know beaches are stretch, but figured I’d mention it. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
Probably not enough time for ocean. I’m releasing a video today on top restaurants so definitely check that out. To name a few… Morgan Street Food Hall $ Pit bbq $$ Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar $$ Angus Barn $$$ Check out Umstead State Park so beautiful and plenty of trails and a lake. Close to airport. Raleigh Beer Garden is the best. Level 7 if you want a fancy rooftop bar. Enjoy your stay in the area!!!!
@@realtorbenjamincarver they are out there but you have to drive in the INSANE traffic that’s in the area and for a state that already charges income tax, the property taxes are super high in a lot of those outskirts. They’re also very rural and very boring and super dark at night.
Durham is just pretty majestic and the traffic is much more manageable than Raleigh, drivers in Raleigh are ridiculous and the traffic can be mind blowing tbh certain roads and trips are out of the question at certain times and it bleeds into Durham. I had to move outta Durham Raleigh because it’s too hectic being from ny I moved to Carrboro right outside of Durham to get some peace !!!! 😮💨
I absolutely dislike Durham-Raleigh region. After only living in NYC and DC in the US this area is boring ASF. I am not a fan of college sports. Maybe if you drink alcohol this area could be more fun. As a sober urban person suburbia it's annoying as hell. I don't feel excitement about going out like I did in the DMV and NYC.
You sound as stuck up as a fat man’s colon. I’m a NY’er and went to college in that area. My friends and I have always had great times in RDU and the Triad, especially Durham and Chapel Hill. The area’s officially a metropolitan area on the rise. I think maybe we enjoy the area so much, because we know we’re responsible for our own fun and we aren’t leaving NY to go somewhere that’s like NY.
Yea, with that attitude, you should go back to NYC, where they are rude and curse each other out. They are more your speed sounds like. They like peace, nature, and happy ppl in Raleigh. So you won't fit in at all. But hopefully, you'll find a great place to live in if you're looking to move somewhere😊.
It’s not just how boring it is but the silence is so creepy. You don’t even hear children laughing driving around neighborhoods. Also Durham is so beat up and dilapidated. Unbelievable what they charge for how run down the homes are up there.

I love the Bull city! Hoping to move back soon.
🔥 reach out when you’re ready
Same ❤
Been looking in Durham. Still cheaper to rent then buy here with a mortgage
There’s some really nice pockets here in Durham that are super affordable! They exist in Raleigh too on the outskirts

You wouldn't believe how many people in Raleigh are from new york! Very different places.
I love Carborro.
I love them both but Durham ia unique
That’s what everybody says!!!! Durham is kinda similar to Austin in that way

Feel free to comment this everywhere. We got enough people coming here now 😆 hahaha
Raleigh is nicer, but more expensive in general.
👍🏼
I must remind you it’s the Triangle not the Metroplex.
Metroplex is a general term. I say triangle all the time and work on the Triangle Experts Team 👍🏻
@@realtorbenjamincarver Metroplex sounds better!
Here I’ll make it quick: Crime. You’re welcome
Cary NC, sitting between Raleigh and Durham, is better than both.
Absolutely not true like for like restaurants cost 44% more in Raleigh.
Source?
Sounds boring
It is.
