Look like Minneapolis what about shopping? Theatres? Most downtowns done away with malls downtown, pros a lot of restaurants. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching. There are a lot of independent shops in Downtown Raleigh. Nearby there is the Village District and North Hills Mall as well.
Other than the Imax theater, there's The Rialto just a few blocks north of downtown on Glenwood Ave. It's a single screen art house sort of theater. Most retail tends to be just outside of downtown proper around The Village District and NC State. Those areas are generally walkable from Glenwood South on the west side of downtown. At least it is for me since I enjoy walking.

Not sure what gives you that impression. Raleigh feels suburban and new, new, new. No public transportation and although it is walkable to some degree, you really need a car to get anywhere, especially between other areas of the triangle (Durham or Chapel Hill). Unlike most European cities that feel weathered by time with old world charm, Raleigh feels like it was speedily built in the last decade (much of it was).
@@justinkram7572Agreed. Although the area does offer benefits to people in CERTAIN industries overall the area is extremely overvalued for what it is and what it offers. Hopefully the area will have more substance to warrant the outrageous real estate prices.
