before you ask: YES I am aware the video has video and audio issues I really have no idea what happened or what to do, soooooo ig it's just gonna be like this. This is really unfortunate because I spent so much time on this but at this point I'm just gonna leave it how it is right now. I'm really really sorry guys.
Shame about the video and audio issues... other than that, this was a very good video about the games! I really like your editing and the voiceover is also great, keep it up MJ
Hurray! We welcome all newcomers to the Pikmin franchise (: I liked hearing your thoughts on the games! It seems we share a lot of the same thoughts on the games. My big issue with Pikmin 2 caves are that they may require more "strategy" and certainly a lot of focus to defeat the enemies, it completely removes the real time strategy element of the game. I don't even care that there is not a day limit in Pikmin 2, because I would replay it to get a lower day count regardless. But if I just want to beat Pikmin 2 faster than I have in my previous runs, I have to go all the way through all of those caves again, all of which will always result in the exact same result: zero time has passed and all cave treasures collected. This still wouldn't be a big problem if they didn't take up such a huge portion of the game. That is the reason why I like Pikmin 2 the least, but I still like it as I realize it has a lot of merits as well.
@@mjshinyhunter Have yet to play any more than the demo, but I was very encouraged by what I saw. Stupid real life responsibilities has to get in the way of me playing my most anticipated game lol
16:30 New players don't know about the Doomsday Apparatus, so they just spam Purples, invalidating most combat. My sister found that Pikmin 2 was most fun if you pretend Purple Pikmin don't exist, as then combat becomes an actual challenge. 20:50 Remember: Pikmin 2 hates you. Bomb Rocks, Volatile Dweevils, Wollywogs, Boulders, and Bulbears repeatedly dropped from the sky at random will constantly remind you of that. 22:35 It's literally the Forest of Hope. Awakening Wood, Perplexing Pool, and Wistful Wild all reuse the areas from Pikmin 1. 38:30 Funny story, but there are some interesting logs! They just have really specific, obscure requirements to get, like spending as many days as possible without meeting up with Brittany. 41:20 Fun fact: they did! It was cut during development, presumably due to changes in mechanics (like captain throw height was changed, as well as probably some other things). Some remains of this area exist in the WiiU version's files, and some very dedicated fans made their own recreation of it through a lot of hard work and research. Parts of this area even showed up in some trailers! The removal of this area really broke the pacing, though, as the game sort of starts to rush you a bit before you unlock Blues. In fact, you were originally going to unlock Blue Pikmin in this area! 42:10 See above. 43:25 Not quite _all_ of its attacks, only its crushing and needle attacks. They are still susceptible to the elemental ones, but those aren't instakills like the ones Rocks are immune to. 53:20 Should have been more worried about the dog, lol.
Hey! Nice video! I see what you meant on stream though 41:20 Have you heard of the unused map that was originally supposed to be where you find the Blues? Someone remade it and made a video about it, just look up Pikmin Unearthed

Yeah it’s a shame. Maybe you could upload a separate video with fixed audio/visuals? Still, I enjoyed the video!
We saving Koppai from starvation with this one🔥🔥
