Back in the 70s I did this with hand embroidery. Took longer but people coveted my jeans.
I did this idea on my embroidery machine. Great to see how you do it on a longarm! Hey, I could combine the embroidery 1st and then add on longarm stitching. Great to see the yarn couching including your 'going to fast and how to clean that knot up'. Appreciate this creative out of the box idea SO MUCH! TU! Another thing I have done recently is: Placemats panel: quilt the entire panel BEFORE cutting out the individual mats!
It’s great to see you have problems as well. Gives us courage to try things as well And not give up when we have a problem.
There is always debate on whether to edit something out or not. We decided that it is better for our viewers to see real life quilting, the oops, and the recovery!!

Awesome. What size needle did you use on the longarm?
I matched the needle size to the thread that I used. For this one, I used either a 16 or an 18.
this would be good for patches. Using felt by the yard to make those old school /vintage looking sewn patches what were on the back of jackets or bowling shirts.
