I grow my pickling cucumbers in mid summer and it's very hard for me to get dill going down here in the heat. I've gotten a little to germinate and survive but most just shrivels up in the heat even with watering every day. So I usually end up buying the dill but that's not a big deal. Your garden looks really good this year. Great job!
Plant the dill in spring when still cool. My dill and cilantro is taller than me at this point (I'm his height in video) and it is still going the dill at least. I couldn't get it going in the heat either. Def wasn't easy either I had to sprout it in a little pot on my deck before I moved all the herbs out in the garden.
I grow my cukes on a tipi of old spruce boughs that remain in the garden. I have to tie the vines with twine here and there. I harvested my first cukes today.
Actually here in the US cattle panel is different from concrete remesh. You can get cattle panel in galvanized steel which does not rust. It's pricier than concrete remesh because of that. However, cattle panels come in 16' length typically. Remesh has many more options for size. Hope that's helpful. Do you ever get cucumber beetles? I sure do and they have arrived so bye - bye cucumbers as they infect the plants with a bacteria🥲
Hi Greg! Following your advice, mulching squash and cucumbers with grass cuttings! Will you have a video on your Garlic harvest! Thnkn mine is ready, 4-5 brown leaves! Great video presentation!

What's that thing sitting in the bed where your parsley didn't grow?
It's a 2x6 with a foam pad tied to it. The foam pad is tied to a 2x6 so it doesn't blow away. Its windy here :)
Hi there. My cuke leaves are spotted. Any idea what's the problem???
Could be Anthracnose or Downy Mildew
@@maritimegardening4887 Thanks Greg. I will check this out!
