Nobody can sing close to these guys! I had all their music from Australia when they were kids to their last LP in 2001 and these dudes are a powerhouse of the tightest vocals & lyrics.
Please go down The BEE GEES rabbit hole ! More than a Woman , Stayin Alive , Jive Talking, Night Fever , To Love Somebody , Massachusetts, You Win Again etc 🤩 Love them !
Bee gees fun fact... what do these 3 massive #1 hit's by the Bee Gees ( Tragedy, Too Much Heaven & Shadow Dancing) all have in common? Not only were they all #1 hits from 1979 but they were all written on the same afternoon! it's crazy when you even think about how talented these 3 brothers were!! The harmonies & Barry's falsetto are second to none! There will never be another group like this again........EVER!
Hands casually in pockets and hips, no auto tone, one microphone, just raw pure talent 😌. There are many other great romantic songs that they have written. I don’t think that anyone has had such perfect harmony before or since. My husband and I would put our babies to bed, pour a glass of wine, and listened to the Bee Gee’s, and of course so many of the MOTOWN greats. I’m 71 and have been married for 52 years. This song, along with your reaction, brought up so many precious memories…🥲 Thank you so much
It's when musicians wrote and sang with pure talent. No autotune. The Bee Gees discography is insane! They were prolific songwriters. They wrote for themselves and for many popular artists. All the proceeds of Too Much Heaven went to UNICEF. Over the years it made 10's of millions of dollars for the charity. Love the Bee Gees!!
It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad!
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the best falsetto voice ever, & what makes it so incredible, is that in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this, they were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed, & they span over years, & crossed many genres 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️
I agree. I am jumping around watching this generation enjoy the Bee Gees. I wish they were all still here to see the love they're getting. Glad at least Barry's still here to see it.
I agree. Robin’s voice is unique and beautiful. No one tops Maurice’s harmonies. All their falsettos are magic together. But Barry is definitely gifted.
♥️♥️ The Bee Gees , hit after hit after hit . This particular song is a master class in how to write , arrange and sing a love song 👍🏻 a relaxed stunning performance , effortless harmonies ♥️♥️ just beautiful 🥰
I just love it when the younger generation shows a huge smile with the first few words of their songs. The Bee Gees Maurice - pronounced Morris - (on the right) had a congenital bowel defect, i.e he was born with it, not an undiagnosed heart defect. Mo’s heart attack was caused by restricted blood flow to his heart because of his twisted intestines. His bowel then burst and flooded him with toxins. He passed in 2003. Robin (on the left) had the same bowel defect, but it was diagnosed in time to operate and save him from the same fate as his twin, Maurice. During that operation they discovered his colon cancer. He passed in 2012. Andy, who had his own successful career, died of Myocarditis, which is inflammation of the muscle surrounding the heart, not a heart attack. He passed in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry (in the middle) said, "I am the last man standing." Barry is the eldest of the brothers. He will be 75 yrs old years old September 1, 2021 which is the same date and day he and his wife, Linda will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary. They have 5 adult children, and 7 grandchildren. The Bee Gees have sold over 220 million records worldwide. They were also writers for other musical artists. Barry just completed a new project called 'Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook, Vol. 1' It is very nice! Get comfy, relax and enjoy the music. On a side note, their sister, Lesley is the first born. She was 77 in January 2021. She lives a quiet life with her family. She didn't have a desire to be in the spotlight, although on one occasion, she stepped in to sing for Robin, who was ill.
Definitely a "get your girl belly rubbin' song! Thanks for your play on this. The bee-gees were around for a very long time. No auto-fill, no audio adjustments, just raw talent!
Well, that's called falsetto. Special voicetec, throatscrewin'. Barry does best falsetto ever and has also very good "normal" voice. Gotta hear him singin "Words", especially live, 1979 on their spirits-tour in US.
This song came out a year after I was married. Yea, this would have been in my wedding too. They were fans of the Stylistics, and their lead singer: Russell Thompkins. I used the Stylistics' songs in my wedding. Also, Frankie Vallie (lead singer of Frankie Vallie and the Teenagers.) And the Delfonics, an R&B group out of Philly, which is where the Stylistics were from.
That pretty little voice is what's called falsetto, and Barry Gibb did it better than anybody else ever has or probably ever will. This song was recorded for a UNICEF fundraiser, and to this day proceeds from it go to UNICEF. Something like $15 million since the song first appeared...
Keep on adding the the Bee gees to your list they have so many, so many songs. They're they're also brilliant songwriters, they have written for many stars over the years. My favorite band of all time Bee gees. I'm 55 , they had a brother Andy also that had a couple great hits. Andy died way too early , and his thirties the other two brothers are also gone and left this Earth way too early. Brother Gibbs.
How Deep Is Your Love!!!! ❤❤❤❤ The Best ever😊😊😊😊 It's among many many of the Bee Gees great songs, we really have to listen to more of the Bee Gees and we'll find out much more of the true beauty and love that they share❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Also if you have time please check out the live version of How Deep Is Your Love (during their One For All Tour), and the acapella version performed on a live TV show. You can just appreciate more and more😊😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗🌈☀️🌟😍
Nunca mais ouviremos vozes tão perfeitas, divinas, maravilhosas e totalmente harmônicas como essas! Amo, amo, amo demais desde a minha infância Bee Gees, The Best! Sua reação so cool! From Ilha de Paquetá - Rio de Janeiro - RJ - Brasil com S! ✨✨✨💖💖💖🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Harmony!! The brothers perfected harmonizing their voices together. Beautiful isn't it? Their little brother Andy sounds & looks just like them. Check out "I Just Wanna Be Your Everything" "Don't Throw it All Away" or "Shadow Dancing." He died at age 30. 😥 Bee Gees do back ground vocals for him on one of these songs I believe. Listen for their harmony.
Yes, his reaction was great! His appreciation of these talented artists is so special! But here is one I think you will greatly enjoy also. She is super moved by this song - and the singers. ;) ua-cam.com/video/8z-_19QODfY/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Sincerely%2CK.S.O.
They have 22 albums. Have fun going down this rabbit hole.Yes, it is their "real voices" given that this was recorded about 18 years before the very first auto-tune processors were invented. Without any electronic methods of enhancing voices, it was simply called "talent"
Give yourself a gift and listen to ALL their songs! You won't be disappointed. Check out their song, "Words". Definitely worth a listen. They been legit since their childhood. They are brothers. Their last name is/was Gibb.
I suggest: How Deep Is Your Love --- Emotion (written for Samantha Sang. So smooth and mellow!) --- You Win Again --- Staying Alive --- Night Fever and soooo many more!
You have great taste!!! My brother had this song played at his wedding as the first song, and a lot of people had tears of joy in their eyes. Also a perfect song if you're with your beloved in the kitchen or living room and you just want to slow dance and show your love.
Awww! Love your reaction that this will be played at your wedding! ❤ This song brought tears to my eyes the first few times I heard it! Sooo beautiful!❤
Brilliantly brought their song writing, producing, performing with amazing voices that causes a tsunami of BEAUTY and SOUL! Check out Mr. Natural, A love so right, I started a joke, Jive talking many other favorites but those are a view
For sure, play this song at your wedding but save some room on the wedding playlist for Eric Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight' song and Van Morrison's 'Have I Told You Lately' song.
If you're going to play this at your wedding 💒 (great idea, btw), you should also consider Wedding Day by the Bee Gees. New subscriber based on this reaction! Love that you dig the Bee Gees!
Hey Teez, thank you. Amazing for sure, loved your reaction. 3 guys on 1 mic so easily hitting those notes wow! They wrote it for charity back in 1979 and donated the proceeds. A few years later it was on their album and a number 1 hit in USA. That would be a great wedding song. Much love brother.
The group the Bee Gees were brothers. All 3 brothers have falsetto range which made them that more talented. The Bee Gees have been recording as a group since the early 60's. The group became even more popular in the 70's. Their music could easily stand up today in rotation on any R&B or Soft Rock Radio station. Sadly Barry Gibb the lead singer is the only brother still alive. The youngest brother Andy Gibb not in the group, but a great solo artist in his own right passed away first. Maurice Gibb passed away then Robin Gibb passed away leaving only Barry.
Generally I'm not a fan of falsetto. I've always seen it as a crutch for people who can't REALLY sing, and can tolerate it and accept it for brief little stints in a peformance. But Barry and his brothers have mastered it, and do it at a level that's just beautiful. So much so that they could pull off an entire song with it. Absolute masterpiece.
Your wedding? That’s interesting. When my daughter was 7 years old we were listening to this real song & Laura said, “Daddy, would dance this song with me at my wedding someday?” Of course, I said yes. On 12/31/2019 I fulfilled that promise. Laura & I had our father of the bride & bride dance to “Too Much Heaven.” It was a special moment that she & I still talk fondly of. I hope you do include it in your wedding someday.
How deep is your love how you can mend a broken heart and so many more he needs to iOS ten too Andy had that high voice like love all The Bee Gees they were so so great
@Teez McGee When you finish reacting to some of their songs I'd recommend watching their concert DVD/Live Album from 1997 called "Bee Gees:One Night Only." It is still one of the best live performances I've ever seen, and the sound is phenomenal as well- especially if you have a good surround sound system. Its DTS Surround/Dolby Digital 5.1 certified. Trust me and thank me later... 🙂
thanks, Teez - yep, BG's are most amazing "falsetto" voices - esp. oldest bro Barry --appreciate your appreciation! (btw, my favorite was always Robin - on left of your screen here - he had the sweetest vibrato! )- hope you choose so react to more of their songs.. including older ones...
People sometimes make fun of the Bee Gees, because Disco was do demonized, but the ONLY reason it was demonized is because Disco consists of two things: Black R&B music, and gay dance music. So, of COURSE, it had to be kicked and knocked down, meanwhile, it's AMAZING and I love it. LOVE this song. Please do "More Than a Woman", you'll love that one, trust me!
I see your point, great disco was awesome. But a lot of rockers tired of the beat and the constant exposure. I never thought it was because black or gay people liked it. In fact, a ton of white kids loved disco as well.
Hey Dude - Please check out Simply Red's "Holdin Back the Years" 1992 LIVE version! Gonna blow you away with THAT VOICE!!! Would LOVE to see your REACTION!!! Also "Grandma's Hands, Angel with Quincy Jones- any of his "Angel" videos; ACTUALLY, ANYTHING by Simply Red especially their LIVE Concert vids!!!
Suprise suprise suprise! The best band for the last 50 years. No one does it better than the Bee Gees!
Nobody can sing close to these guys! I had all their music from Australia when they were kids to their last LP in 2001 and these dudes are a powerhouse of the tightest vocals & lyrics.
Barry , a real man, married to one woman over fifty years, carrying on for his family.
Please go down The BEE GEES rabbit hole ! More than a Woman , Stayin Alive , Jive Talking, Night Fever , To Love Somebody , Massachusetts, You Win Again etc 🤩 Love them !
GOAT. period.
🔥🙏🏻🔥 Every girl melted in your arms slow dancing to this ... seriously ! 🔥❤️🔥

Keep this music alive. Bring back melody, harmony and soul.
Vibe on bro, music 🎵🎶 at its best
70's & 80's had the best music growing up.
Definitely a "get your girl belly rubbin' song! Thanks for your play on this. The bee-gees were around for a very long time. No auto-fill, no audio adjustments, just raw talent!

They were icons my best group I can listen to this over and over what harmony
Just think, this entire performance was live. Singers, musicians and not a single electronic aid in sight. Sure talent
Greatest of all time period.
Thanks for giving this song it's just due. Excellent reaction.
Appreciate you!
Such a beautiful smile for a beautiful song.
😉☺️😃😃😃😃 thank you!
I'm 60 years old, do you have any idea how many babies were made because of this song. 😆

I love your reaction!!
Thank you! ❤️
Their younger brother Andy Gibb was also an incredible singer. Check out his songs Shadow Dancing and I Want to be Your Everything

Your wedding? That’s interesting. Andy and Barry is almost twins they are just alike
Dope tune
Please react to “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees
You need to do “Love You Inside Out” next.
That song is very underrated. It's a great song!!!
How deep is your love how you can mend a broken heart and so many more he needs to iOS ten too Andy had that high voice like love all The Bee Gees they were so so great
Great reaction!!! Try out Run To Me by Bee Gees.
thank you!! ill defiantly get into that record
If you like the Bee Gees, check out Samantha Sang - Emotions. They wrote and singing background. Great song! Destiny's Child did a cover of this song.
130:0 like to dislike ratio, one of the best I've ever seen
I used to have hair... :-) Dude has a head of hair, besides an awesome voice.
Try Jive Talkin’ for a non-falsetto sound.
Yeah 👍🏻 funky jam 👍🏻👍🏻 these guys were cool cats in every sense , love them ♥️
Very good!! React For whom the bell tolls live Bee Gees...
Thank you! I really appreciate it! And I will definitely get to that record 🙌
@Teez McGee When you finish reacting to some of their songs I'd recommend watching their concert DVD/Live Album from 1997 called "Bee Gees:One Night Only." I see your point, great disco was awesome. But a lot of rockers tired of the beat and the constant exposure. I never thought it was because black or gay people liked it. In fact, a ton of white kids loved disco as well.
