Punisher season 2 has been hell of an emotionnal and epic ride. I loved this season to death and I had to make a video about It Instantly. There was so much to explores and I'm couldn't explore everything, every characters and I'm sorry for this.
In the other hand, I explored my favorites themes and storyline in this video and I hope as always all of you will love it.

Jon Bernthal killed it. I hope to even if it gets cancelled he gets to keep playing this character. I don’t think it’s possible for someone to play a better Punisher.
I cant imagine myself watching the punisher without Jon Bernthal. Just as Ryan Reynolds IS Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine, Jon Bernthal IS the Punisher.
Honestly if Thom was cast as the Punisher once again with a better writer he'd probably change your mind, but yeah Jon's done the character some justice I enjoy him.
If they choose someone else we riot. lol. but seriously, i feel if everyone complains about it or everyone wants him, they will keep him. If they even continue the show.
Movie! Movie! Movie! I love Jon's intensity! But the flashbacks to his family make me ugly cry! Only problem for me is how does he support his path of righteousness? Even Dare Devil has a day job.
@@andrewofblighty1497 At least in terms of Deadpool and Wolverine, it's very easy to say that no one else can play those roles when we have nobody to compare them to (yet). People also used to think nobody but Sean Connery could play James Bond. Turns out they were wrong about that. Even with the Punisher, Jon's the best version to date. The operative phrase there being "to date". Other hardworking and talented actors will take on the role in the future, and they deserve a fair shake and the benefit of the doubt from Punisher fans.

The Netflix series does such a great job of showing just how damaged Frank really is. So broken, so alone, so angry. Jon Bernthal IS the Punisher.
his injuries would pop his lungs and push his ABD contents into his lungs and scenes altered its kinda for lack of better words, "hollywood" but you know its based off a comic book so I like how they made it, it's kinda more like the comics but wouldve been sick if they stuck more with the comic side with more funny jokes after killing people and more badass explosions because that was what he was about..One bad day with a shootout between two rival gangs on the merry go round thats what made this hilarious sadistic bastard which is so damn lovable

Read the MAX PUNISHER series, you'll see the real character in there. Netflix Punisher was too humanized, Castle sacrificed his family not even knowing it to have a forever war. He doesn't kill or punish for revenge, he does it because it's what he really is.

After the Walking Dead, I really hoped he would find his place in the world. To see what he has made of this character, the emotion he brings to every moment; its beautiful. I desperately hope he gets to continue this story, because it could be the hallmark by which all other antiheroes are measured. He has been fantastic, and I hope to continue to watch his award winning acting continue.
Atomic FireDog the way he’s written and executed is amazing , the story of the punisher is truly sad from having his family murdered to losing his best friend and on it goes such tragic story and in this show it is so well done (along with s2 of dd)
Jon Bernthal has become one of my favorite actors. From The Walking Dead, to Fury, to the Punisher. Hell, even when he showed up in The Pacific and Baby Driver, I just love seeing him. He's an amazing actor and person, hearing him talk about the police and military community where other public figures fall silent. His roles are almost always similar but it's because he brings a real believable sense of grit and strength to roles like this. He's a natural bad ass that can portray raw emotion.

I dont blame the killing off of shane as the downfall of TWD. The writing just happened to go to absolute shit after like season 3. My dad and I were huge fans, watching every episode on the premier night. Until like season 7 (we were complaining long before season 7) when we finally gave up on the show.
Bullwon Shane was never ment to make it out the first season but the guy who made it at the time frank derabond ( spelling is probably wrong) wanted him to stay for a second season and funny enough him and dale and frank all left towards the end of season 2 and that’s when gimple killed what was left of it

This is legendary, I just finished season 2 today. I really wish Netflix could’ve kept this show and daredevil. They really were the best Netflix originals they had imo.

My God this man could make you feel the weight of the grief he carried. I thought he was great in TWD but he was absolutely amazing in this.
The Punisher, has always been a favorite form of hero. No powers or super tech, just a human who had one bad day. His story that he tells is realistic and truly shows what a single person is capable of if you take the very thing that ties them to this world. The actor, really knew his stuff when playing this character and I must say, I do hope he continues his career because I am definitely a fan.
Punisher is my fav too. Such a tragic character blurred the line between good and evil, tormented, rage and he embodied everything.
I am just so blown away by this. I finished watching the second season a couple days ago and it was amazing. Jon Bernthal is literally the Punisher in every way. He did such a phenomenal job bringing Frank Castle to life. He bought a lot of emotion and complexity to him and made him what he’s meant to be. Even though, he’s one of those characters you love to hate or hate to love, you have to have sympathy for him because of what he’s been through. Beautiful job on the video.

U know what Jigsaw is one of the best villains we have ever had. So underrated especially in season 2.
Literally one of the best adaptations of the Punisher character I've seen. Jon Bernthal was born for this role

Just before S2 came out I watched Daredevil s2 and Punisher s1 and now after finishing season 2 and watching this edit I realize just how much this character means to me. Even if there isnt a S3 I'm satisfied with how they wrapped up this story.

Fantastic. Simply a beautiful depiction of The Punisher. I love him, I'm so pissed it was cancelled, was my favorite marvel show, never was huge about marvel, but Punisher was something else. It also helped me stand up to my bullies as well as stand up for myself, I also loved Jigsaw, he was my favorite in season 2, John was also a favorite of mine. I always hated Madoni though, god she was annoying. I made a similar Tribute to Jigsaw on my channel if anyone is interested :)
Jon brings such intensity to his character. He ends with John Pilgrim acknowledging him as The Whirlwind. But he's not entirely without his weaknesses. He goes to save Amy, who walked into a trap. And while she was not entirely likable at first, she redeems herself when she masquerades as a nurse to get him out of the hospital. My fave Punisher phrases from this season are "I'll put you on the train myself Kid, but you gotta come home." Aww, my heart melted. He cares! And how about her hysterics, "I killed him! I killed him!" "No, you didn't kill him. " Turns and shoots the perp, "There, I killed him."
Karen Lewis yeah at the start she was annoying but once frank reaches her to disarm and even shoot you see them grow closer hell even when she gets the jump on him and flips remind of his son using the term haji in the first season franks tough love I guess by the end of the season franks willing to lay down his life to save her if we get season 3 I hope she returns

In my College & Uni courses (Games Design) we were given tasks to analyse a TV show in order to create an essay & then plan an entire game around said show using the essay. In College I chose the Punisher & in University I originally chose Punisher, but switched to Vikings because it worked better with the type of game we were making.
One thing I couldn’t help but notice is that when we analyse Frank everybody has a different view point on whether he was right or wrong, good or bad, traumatised or sane, etc. but one thing I think describes his character better than any other word, that everyone either doesn’t mention or brushes over it without thought, and thats ‘tired’. Frank in my own description is just a man who’s tired. And I don’t mean physically, although definitely physical. I mean mentally, in his soul whatever his other motivations be they revenge, justice or law, he’s always driven by an innate tiredness like an animal fighting way past the point of exhaustion, just taking hits because he’s throwing all his energy into offence.
Because every other aspect of his character changes. Sure his end goal is the same, but every kill, every villain has a different motivation. It’s like his spirit has been beaten so badly he should never get up, but he’s so determined not to go out that he’s constantly fighting through the tiredness.
For example when he kills Billy, Agent Orange, the colonel, or any of the criminals involved in his families death, he’s driven by revenge, loss & desperation. When he kills the guy selling pedo videos it’s justice driving him. When he’s killing the guys hunting the kid, he’s driven by a both being good, his own personal vendetta to find another war & to find answers. When he hunts Billy again he’s already done with that fight, he’s just finishing a job. But in all of those different instances he’s always just so tired of it all.

I will say that your video helped me come to terms that this may be the last season of punisher. You really did highlight the best parts of season 2, which I thought was generally pretty bad concerning the writing, pacing, and even character development. Hell, the video even made me like Amy, who I couldn't stand in the show. So thank you for the video and now I will be sad when the show is canceled. I loved season 1 and couldn't love season 2 but your video really brought the best parts together. And now I hoped it will continue on Disney Plus.
I always think MCU tv shows are much better and intense than movies! They deserve more love and fandom... Hope people realise the importance and and awesomeness of marvel Netflix shows. Want them revived asap!
Honestly, Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage (when I rewatched it), the first season of Jessica Jones, The Defenders, the second season of Iron Fist, Agents of SHIELD, The Gifted, Legion, I think all those Marvel shows, on average, captured the spirit of Marvel's storylines and characters, specifically the maturity of it, far better than the MCU movies did (of course, there were some exceptions, Winter Soldier and Infinity War were phenomenal).
