Hi Ardor, the theory about benkei was born back in may when the season got accidentally leaked. The siluoette of the hero has also some kind of horns. This suggest that the benkei is also gonna have an ONI mask, like also suggested by the attackers minion, keep in mind this word: attackers. The spear theory is not stupid, but I suggest you to go back to the attacker spawn and do a 360 and you’ll find your answers about the weapons. Like Andrew said in the year 8 presentation 3 are the main thing to keep in mind: 1) The Samurai is a master of weapons (like you said) 2) The Outlander is gonna be a villain, because think about a thing Arbor, why every “unfamiliar” weapons are located to the attacker side? Because probably in the trailer that they will show the 24th the new hero is gonna come from that side, because he wants to fight Katashi, the defender of the bridge. 3) The Outlander is a female.
The Benkei theory was madr realistic also by redditors for one main thing, the bridge. I’ve searched on internet the word Benkei and strangely there are some images where a bridge is involved. Doesn’t sounds weird for you? Your speculation are interesting, but I will repeat myself to give you a little bit of help, go back to the attacker spawn and be careful of the environment and do one more video about the weapon speculation.

Okay, so yeah, I'll definitely head to the Attacker side or start there and turn around. I was familiar with the Outlander being female thanks to Andrew lol, but what culture? That's for another time.

There’s actually several weapons you can find on the map that belong to the new hero.
There are seven in total which can be found.
1. Sickle (like Shinobi but slightly bigger)
2. A saw
3. An otsuchi (mallet/hammer)
4. Wakizashi (short sword)
5. Man catcher
6. Yari (not the ones on the rack, there’s a spear hidden behind some barrels)
7. And a smaller version of shugoki’s kanabo
I thought i found all of them, but where is the man catcher and the smaller kanabo?

Good work with the follow up video. There is defiantly something we are all missing from the intro, and the trailer. I did like what you replied to my comment with in the other Samurai video with new new hero having a Medjay type weapon swap. I had mentioned that in my own video (giving you credit of course for the video idea).Now I'm thinking it could be another character from the story mode being Seijuro that may be kind of a lame idea but a reason for that being is the fact that he thought he was better than every other character in the story mode. and the fact that the bridge in the trailer was the same one that lead to the same palace that Seijuro was in control of for a little while after the Vikings and Black Stones left. This even plays a part into your villain like hero thought because Seijuro was also villain like, because he was also a boss fight in the story. He lived but we also never saw him again after that even though the player takes control to attack Apollyon's castle we never see him there but we see almost every character within the last 2 missions that's a stretch though but a reasonable one.
@@vetexomega789 Oooh...Seijuro!! I tell you what! I wouldn't mind seeing an authentic Seijuro hero skin for Orochi and Momiji skin for Nobushi. They should throw them in like they did the Unsung Knight skin in Y8S1. But will it happen, probably not, we can't have nice things.

NO ITS NOT! THEY TALKED ABOUT THE NEXT OUTLANDER WHEN THEY SAID SHE! Why do so many think that? Since year 5 they announced the pattern of new hero releases: Male, Female, Male, Female, Male, Female and so on! The last mistake, i mean hero was Varangian Guard, She is a Female! The samurai will be a male...

The saw thing you've seen is called a sleeve-catcher they used it to detain people by sticking in sleeves of said robe and twisting it to lock a person in place
Since he might be a massive character like goki I'm guessing the new hero will duel weild the spears and stance switch like medjay to two Katanas

We can only be sure of one thing: If they are going to be wearing armor, they will be squishy.
A dedicated yari hero would be cool.
You can create a yari for nobushi with several weapon sets, but its not the same thing. Though i do wonder how theyre going to differentiate between nobu and the new heroes animations.
Suggestion:
I have an idea for a new game mode. It uses breach maps and is an escort/boss fight.
I call it: Scorpion’s run
1. You take the Egyptians move set and transpose it into a giant scorpion (final boss fight)
2. One player from each team is chosen randomly as royalty.
3. Offensive royalty can run but defensive royalty cannot. Both get health buffs, damage buffs, but no feats right from the start.
4. Players have to escort the royalty to the end of the breach match when the offensive team gets to the final map area the royalty from defensive team gets transformed/buffed into a giant scorpion
5. The game is balanced by the amount of deaths each royalty has take. Each death from the defensive team royalty opens a gate while each death from the offensive team only counts as a buff to the scorpion king
6. The game is over when the scorpion king is killed or the royalty on the offensive team is killed at the end of the map
This is just a prototype idea I had. Any changes can be made. So it’s kinda an escort/boss fight type game mode

@big_meech8653 Sohei is just the designation/characterization for the type of hero he is which is a warrior monk. Similar to Varangian Guard whose name was Katla, I would expect we get The name of this hero during the reveal but the on-screen designation will be Sohei. One more day left! my guess is the hero will be able to switch up to anything. Shugoki turn's up you'll be able to pull out the weapon that will be hyper armour heavy Nobu turn's up you can pull out a weapon that will have fast attacks etc adjusting to any move set that you face.

Wait so how is that going to work if the heroes going to have multiple weapons
@Crazinator I'm thinking it'll be like Medjay amped up. Hopefully a couple of chains with each weapon. Would also like to see another hero be able to have a unique ability like Nuxia's trap that he/she can get in and out of, but it's all speculation until we get the reveal. If it's not fluid and if one mode is pointless, it's not a good look. I got faith they pull it off, however they do it. It'll be interesting. Lots of possibilities

It would be fascinating to see an attack-swap like Medjay. When you switch from one weapon to another, you do an attack that's unique to that weapon before putting it away and pulling another one out.
When is the new season dropping? Havent played in a while

@user-mg7do9nk7d That's the challenge they are taking on. It's possible they could have the hero have an offensive stance like Highlander for one, zone swap to a stance for another, no one knows but them. But that's a guess on my part. Another person mentioned using perks but that's less likely imo since perks aren't hero specific. However, they could have feats that are multi purpose like Medjay. It's going to be very interesting to watch the reveal and see how they pull this off! Thanks for watching! 🫡
Probably if the hero has many weapons they would be just a single part of the weapon set and one weapon will be the customizable one, example: Yari spear as the main one that has the interchangable parts and the others just change material or colors to match the main weapon
if its true and this is a reallly good theory with the spear i hope it comes true man i NEED a spear. and frankly valk isnt doing it for me anymore but they also said unique so im very curious

@WorldFullOffLies Yep, Andrew did say that in the Year 8 vision video. I still haven't heard or seen confirmation that this hero will be male. I understand people saying it makes sense due to size and I lean that way also, but I'm not going to talk like it's confirmed male or female unless I've seen it or read it from devs. I wonder what culture the Outlander hero will be a part of. We've heard she and villain.

he will have a hyper armor undodgeable unblockable dodge attack thatll chain into 3 unreactable light attacks into a catapult thatll give him more hyperarmor

it would be nice if you get no perks (level 1 too 4 if you get a wapoan per perk a new wapoan too choose so you have maby 8 wapoans but can only carry 4 and one of the perks is for you layout of wapons

@kismachaddis I understand that thought, especially after I saw 3 axes show up; however, I didn't see one Valk head that looks like this. I am a low rep Valk, so maybe there is one, but I haven't seen it. Let's say it is, I'm so committed to the new hero having the Yari as a primary weapon I can't see anything else 😂 But lmk which Valk head this is so I can match it up. Let's say this is Valks. Understood. I still think the new hero will equip a Yari because it's the closest to the naginata which Benkei did have. What are your thoughts on these weapons the hero will have. @drummerguy438 People that control the samurai heroes may be seen as toxic, but the samurai characters themselves are not. Orochis and Shinobi players seem to be the culprits for how they play them, but there are a lot of chill Samurai hero players too! Like me, with my Nobushi 😁 I don't think any hero is developed to be toxic, but the devs give you all the tools to be if you want to 😂 Thanks for watching! 🫡
00:37 I had already come to this same conclusion with just the season's teaser image, with the 1000 swords on a bridge, the bridge being the location of two important events for Benkei, that's where he collected the swords when he was defeated by Yoshitsune and also when he was killed by several arrows both events on a bridge, with the revelation of the season not only in the trailer did we see his shadow but also the bridge on the map is studded with countless arrows, even before they found the weapons spread across the map, I think it was pretty obvious from the beginning

Martial arts are also done with certain weapons, so, obviously he will be... i think you mean a Melee only hero? Thats a horrible idea for for honor
@MeisterSchwabbo You don't think they can pull off a hero with Tiger Claws? I think they could. If PK and her daggers can be effective I'm sure they could pull off Tiger Claws.
@@MisterArdor you do know that PK has one sword and a dagger? She uses the dagger only for followups and some light attacks. And yes, i am pretty sure the devs aren't able to do something different than a bladed weapon, bashes and undodgeables, i would love to see a hero that functions as a melee hero only, but the devs would come up with unique attacks and properties for it... at first i want to see if they are able to pull off a unique samurai with multiple weapons, it shouldn't be too hard, but the devs always dissapointed me.

THE NEXT SAMURAI IS A HE! A MALE! Since year 5 they follow the same exact pattern! Male, female, male, female, male, female and so on... when they said she, they meant the hero later this year, they mean the new outlander! The next hero is a male samurai with 4 weapons, probably a stance switcher too.
