I love that you never lower yourself by editing pics and making up, making believe stories. Most stories are bad enough and don't need to be exaggerated or lied about. I love you Mike. You are amazing, please never stoop to others level. You are amazing 💛
The most fascinating part of this story is the guy is in his 30s, spent four years in the military, and his best laid plan is to sell mom's stolen jewelry on the side of the road in Mexico.
@@denisehagwood4542 It's a mixed bag for sure. The military requires a 35 percentile ASVAB (with a high school diploma) or a 50 percentile ASVAB without one. Which excludes the bottom third of the stupidest and most self-destructive humans. The flip side -- as with law enforcement -- is that the top third is also excluded, since they go off to college and other professions. So the military is built around the most average humans out there, the vast majority with an IQ of 94-106, and between age 18-24 -- peak ages for youthful idiocy. It points to the old observation about "look at the average person, and remember that half of people are even dumber." Haha. I'm old. I enlisted after 9/11 and served in Iraq and Germany. Idiocy is a spectrum for sure. Most military have average IQs and slightly above average discipline, but that isn't saying much when we look around us.
The military is basically the us’s biggest welfare project. Keeps all the poor uneducated people busy doing tasks that fuel the war machine by dangling shelter, food and healthcare and the promise of future education in front of them.
After many moons in the Army and a lifetime being around the Army I can assure you intelligence is not a requirement. On behalf of incredibly sharp individuals in all Ranks I must point out these sharp cookies are the yin to the morons yang
What's the deal with letting these predators wander around after they're been convicted? These creeps should be locked up. No matter what they're going to spend time in prison. 🙄😤
There's always such an empty feeling at the end of these stories. Such brainless stupidity, heartless selfishness, and inhumane violence, and the justice system locking them away forever. Justice can never correct it no matter how hard society tries. If you want to cause evil, you just can. You can just go out and do it one day, and we're all left to clean up the mess. All you can say at the end is, well, that's just fucked up and sad.
Actually, you can do much more than that. You can ask two questions when you listen to these stories: "Why?" and "How can we prevent it from happening in the future?". The questions that the majority of population ask right now are: "Who?", "Were they punished?"
Omg hearing my favorite true crime content creator talk about a local crime is crazy. I live 3 minutes from the hospital. Ive never heard this story. Love your videos Mike

That's a lie. America incarcerates more women than any country. There are women who are spending life in prison for killing their abusers. So spare me. 🙄
It happens. The longer an officer is on the crazier what is going on around you seems. You either learn to get hardened to it and face the grim reality or you become a head case and don’t help anybody. The conversations at crime scenes can be pretty dark and often comments and conversations of officers if overheard by the average citizen or the media would make them seem as uncaring monsters. It is a coping method for the people that see the worst shit imaginable. It is why PTSD is usually not diagnosed until long after an officer retires. The coping mechanism finally wears off and you are left with the memories of what you have seen when you just try to live like everybody else. Not trying to make excuses. Just giving an explanation of my experience.

After watching so many of Mike’s videos I started thinking Florida had the highest rate of homicides in the country. And I even thought my state of Utah was pretty high. Turns out Florida had almost a thousand less homicides per year than California and their homicide rates are similar (but because California has so many people there are many more total homicides each year. But Utah has among the lowest homicide rates in the country with just 2.2 homicides per 100,000 residents totaling just 72 homicides per year whereas California has about 6 homicides per 100,000 residents totaling about 2,300 per year. Crazy. Florida has around 1,400 homicides per year. Washington DC has a whopping 23 homicides per 100,000 residents per year! Insane!

Everything loves him but I can't get into Mr Ballen.
I live 20 miles from Sylvania. This was a tragic story. From what I heard the victim was a very well liked person. It's sad they never found her body. From what I remember they never really checked landfills or anything. Such a said tragedy.

She better NEVER get out.... how dangerous and at such a young age!
She appears to be a Sociopath...
[ Of the four obvious trafficked teens that frequented the local Denny's, one was like her and I got a volunteer from Ozone House to collect the other three. Ozone House was a shelter for abused teens. Which as a middle aged male was the best I could do, but the one who repeatedly propositioned me while my girlfriend was present, there was nothing I could do for her. I know the type as I have an older sister who was abused before my family adopted her and lets just say that while I was in a messy divorce with a total bunny boiler, my sister took my ex out for a beer and a burger, then to a party with cocaine and lets just say that my soon to be ex-wife damaged my left shoulder & arm with a baseball bat & even kicked my elderly blind house cat, just because I wouldn't sign my house over to her and my VW camper over to her brother. No one needs an older sister who does crap like that to her brother...]
Her older boyfriend likely needs to be placed in a VA Operated Institution due to repeated head injuries. As he appears to be unable avoid making serious lapses in judgement as his underage girlfriend would be legal in less than a year. I know "gross", but legal and yet he slept with her anyway...
She got a demon(s) inside her that’s for sure…..
Women get more lenient sentences, especially at her age. I agree with you but facts don't lie
Fact is you're lying. More than likely her age will get her parole. Parole boards are suckers for killers who killed at a young age.
Btw women don't get lenient sentences. America incarcerates more women than any country. There's also tons of women serving life sentences for killing their abusers.
This is a message to all the young girls or young guys out there who are dating older people. When your parents tell you no listen to them they are actually trying to keep you safe and emotionally healthy. Otherwise they may end up dead and you'll end up in jail FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. No sweeties you are not exception to the rule. And there's about a 99% chance that when you are older and look back on what you did you will realize that you were being groomed by a pedophile you weren't "dating your boyfriend"
Sometimes all we need is to hear Mike O tell us he loves us. ❤️
I always wait until the very end to hear that 😂
Me too. I love the beginning, give it a goo.
Best part of any video. Gives me a smile everytime 😊
Wow. Shes proud of herself.
She is a Sociopath...
I can change her lol jk hell no this girl is crZy
The way that girl describes what happened to Nicole - so calm, so collected - is truly creepy and disturbing. Like reading off a recipe. RIP, Nicole... 😢🌹
Yoooooo a predator and juvenile killer gets parole after 25 yrs??????????????? What the hell?
17 year old with a 33 year old? Guy really had some issues. You know a dude is weird when he tells you his girlfriend is still in high school while he has whole aśś kids somewhere.
Weird as in, a predator?
He likely needs to be placed in a VA Operated Institution due to repeated head injuries. As he appears to be unable avoid making serious lapses in judgement as his underage girlfriend would be legal in less than a year. I know "gross", but legal and yet he slept with her anyway...
Yep. Let's not polish up the turd. Massive predator here
@@davidhollenshead4892 It was even more pointless because it was already legal in Ohio.
Without his own kids, he would probably have run for congress. The qualifications are there, but his kids were holding him back, I guess...
You haven't met the average infantry person
Are you under the impression that men and women in the military are smarter than civilians? Because lol no
@@denisehagwood4542 It's a mixed bag for sure.
Where else are they supposed to go? Unfortunately can't make them spend life in prison.
They are referring to them being on bond with an ankle monitor after being convicted, but not yet sentenced
The “deal” is bleeding heart liberal democrats.
What’s wrong with that?
"The unthinkable? Becomes pretty darn thinkable when you're in love." 😂
I so agree.
Ya, he's right up there in my books too. Merry Christmas to you and yours, btw. 🎄😊🇨🇦✌️
Which hospital? Lol. I lived right by mercy and st Vincent. Never heard of this either
Me too! Off Talmadge road, you? And I'd never heard of it either. I went to nursing school where the nun was murdered we graduated in the chapel and I'd never heard of her case either. Although he did a podcast on that story, not a full video
See you soon bud
He covered one local to my area too. It was weird to hear someone from across the pond cover a case near me.
Wait... she was dumped in a dumpster and they haven't found her yet? The lengths some killers go through to dispose of the body and these two just used a dumpster?
Many 'secret pregnancy' babies end up in dumpsters.
If they get taken to the dump, it'd be pretty much impossible to find them. They'd be buried under piles and piles of garbage in a sea of garbage.
Me too. The landfills are so organized these days, they can pinpoint the time and locations of dumps. Makes no sense
They claim she was dumped in a dumpster, for all we know they could've dumped the body somewhere in Mexico.
That's what Stephen McDaniels did, they only found the torso because the police cars blocked access to the dumpster.
The fact that she can lie so effortlessly shows what a psychopath she is.
Absolute zero empathy and conscience it seems like.

I think it just looks like a 6 because it’s super pixelated.
I thought the same. My son is 6'6" weighs 180 and is a stick! Looking at that last courtroom footage he does look like 5'10"
Who EVER said that he was 6 Ft 10 to begin with?...😂 I hate when stupid people comment.
What a ghastly pair! I don’t believe parole should EVER be granted to either of them. You did a brilliant job of summarising this horrific tragedy. So many different agencies worked to find them and Nicole. While combing the desert multiple bodies were found and identified but no Nicole yet. The hold up is because of everyone involved and since they crossed State lines, it falls within the FBI jurisdiction. Absolutely absurd bs in the States. Scotland Yard is so much easier to work with! Rest in peace, Nicole.
Yup. Sometimes bands DON'T a make her dance😢😢
Man, I tell you. I live in Dayton, and it does get crazy here in Ohio. I watch a lot of these crime channels, and cop chasing people videos etc., and it's almost overwhelming how many times they bring up Ohio.
Yeah I'm in Ohio all my life. Finally had to admit wow... We are featured quite a lot!
@lisamh9037 Yeah, it's uncanny! Sometimes before they even say where it's at, I'll say, that looks like Ohio, and sure enough it is.

It must be a safe neighborhood if a package can sit on the front step for a couple days without being stolen. 🏴☠️
Sylvania is a suburb of Toledo, but it is the high rent district where people move when they start making a little money. The difference in crime rates is night & day from a few miles over.
The way she was so casual & unemotional when telling about the murder was very creepy. 🥺

That girl is a psychopath. I don’t think parole after 25 years is a good idea…😳😬
I don't think so. She just hated the person that stood in the way of her happiness.
While I want to believe victims, it’s the teenage girl telling the detectives about her 33-year-old groomer’s mom’s “inappropriate” behavior. I’m gonna take that with a whole barrel of salt.
You shouldn't want to believe victims. You should want to believe the truth

That's a lie. America incarcerates more women than any country. There are women who are spending life in prison for killing their abusers. So spare me. 🙄
Unfortunately America does let killers out on parole. Hopefully parole board are not easily manipulated by her just because of her age.

I always find it a bit weird when someone says they loved the victim "to death" after that person is, you know, dead.
The twenty five years these people received is astounding for the US court considering what that dear lady went through at the end AND never found.
Not only that, she sounds unremorseful and even proud of what she did. She'll most likely reoffend, given the fact that she said she killed because "people are always against her" 🙄 So that's how easy it is for her. If she's let out, she'll most likely go after the cashier for not letting her go ahead and pass a pregnant lady in line or something.
They didn't rob a bank, and everyone knows if you didn't take money from the government, you will be free pretty fast. Rob a bank, steal from the rich as a poor person, get you a life sentence with no parole

Dude literally did this with an ankle bracelet on🤦Terrible! That poor woman.
Insane!
Population density should answer that question.
Poor woman. She worked hard and kept such a nice home. You can see the pride she took in her landscaping and inside the house.
