- Logan Clegg was an international man of mystery, camping in the New Hampshire woods. When Stephen and Wendy Reid went missing while on their usual walk, police began to search for them. They met an "Arthur Kelly" camping, and he turned out to be a bigger monster than they could imagine.

The way the poor couple met is so beautiful. 😢
Blows me away how psychopaths are always so brazen about their "innocence" being proved despite being dead to rights with mountains of evidence stacked against them. It's like accountability isn't even in their vocabulary.
it seems like they have narcissism along with whatever disorder they have
I'm no expert, but my guess would be that their narcissism doesn't allow them to even entertain the notion of accountability.
Playing the victim is a common manipulation tactic of narcissistic people (which psychopaths and sociopaths often are), and, coincidentally, another trait of theirs is to blame everyone else around them for anything bad happening to them, NEVER themselves. His arrestation for theft is quite telling of this. It's the cops fault he was carrying a stolen gun and was stealing articles at Walmart, because that makes sense...
I mean it could be that they don't wanna go to jail for life lol. They know they did it so they so they'll say anything to try to get out of it.
Strange that nobody wonders if he was hired by someone, I mean serial usually have some sort of ritual... this looks like a hit, and the astounding amount of money? The fake passport? They should investigate his phone records at least.
Dude got caught in with 2 stolen guns and got less than 100 days max in jail and 3 years of probation! Look at out great system at work! SMH!!!!🤦🏽
We have an epidemic of the "system" favoring the criminals & letting them out over and over. People with RAP sheets as long as I am tall are walking among us everywhere 😒
It's absolutely unacceptable however until we make some hard choices and vote out the people who support these lax laws things will get worse.
Vote to make a change ❤
I agree It is the american voter's fault. They go to the polls re-elect.The same people expect a different result and blame everybody else.
You're the same person to say "whoa that got two years?!? That's too long we live in a police state!" If he didn't go on to commit murder. Or he was black.
@@bruderschweigen6889wow. That’s a pretty major conclusion to draw based on a comment that literally says the opposite thing as what you’re suggesting. Who are you so mad at bro?!
@@bruderschweigen6889 Why are you so fixated on black people? Why would you interject black people into this, as this story doesn’t have anything to do with black people except as one of the victims? Seriously so weird and obsessive.
Name and shame all prosecutors and judges involved in the MULTIPLE criminal instances where this murderer should have already been in prison.
Yep
I find it crazy that he was arrested twice for theft both with a firearm and he didnt serve 30 days combined.
I was arrested for theft (no firearm) and no priors not even a traffic ticket. I served 9 months off the bat snd then got an additional 5 years probation which i also ended up serving out behind bars. Im blown away at this shit.
He'd get 10 years for the first charge in NJ.
It's wild here, but very safe as well.
That's right NJ doesn't mess around
_WTF?!? Unbelievable!_ 😡
Sometimes the worst things happen to the best people. They will never be forgotten by all those they helped. They left the best kind of legacy behind with all those who's lives they changed. They won't be forgotten.
Arrested in a library: You have the right to remain silent...😂...the librarian approves😂
I wonder what he was reading?
He was on a laptop
LOL
Very good 😅
WiFi there. And a toilet.
Thank you for covering this. I used to live down the street from where the Reid’s lived. They did not deserve this at all, they really were gems❤
Thank you for covering all of their community and hard work.
Stephen & Wendy deserved to live out their golden years together with their families & friends. Just as everyone should man. This was just SO senseless.
My heart breaks for the family and loved ones of Wendy and Stephen Reid. They spent their lives selflessly filling the needs of the oppressed and committed to help every person during their journeys together. Wendy and Stephen shared a beautiful love story that was built on unconditional love, support and bettering the lives of so many far and wide. I imagine that there are people across the globe that will miss the Reid’s deeply and will carry the endless kindness bestowed upon them forever. RIP Wendy and Stephen Reid
They left a truly amazing legacy.
And Corey Ward's family & friends. That 30 year old was also his victim of unprovoked murder.
Great job as always Mike! Here’s to 2 million subscribers my man!!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Matthew!

The Missoula Maulers.
@@Ron-d2scrazy, I am in Montana and never pieced that together!
Ah. A bright spot of my week. Thanks as always for all you do, Mike! Appreciate you so much.
Thank you so much! Means a lot to me to read that!
I grew up in Concord, NH and still live about 20 minutes outside the city. I can't believe I've never heard this story.
"Man, I'll try to put in a request to have you do different things next time." thats a good one im gonna steal that one
I work retail and would love to use this, when someone has a go at me for buying something that doesn't do what they want it to, and storm back in to take their anger out on me, like bro do a quick Google search and find out whether it has that feature, don't blame me for your stupidity🤦♂️😅
Hell's bells, Captain, nearly 2 million subscribers! What a journey we have been on with you. Congratulations! ♥️🇦🇺
I live in the area, this absolutely rocked the community when it happened
Yes, this story was scary. I live in Concord. This event was very close to many housing units with families. People were very afraid until this man was caught.
Wow Mike, this is one of the most bizarre stories you've covered, and you've done it dignifying the victims and leaving so many questions about the perp unanswered.
Wow, he’s screwed up. I suspect he’s an assassin. Needs food. Very sad for all involved.
I’m from Concord…. I can’t express how nice a place it is… lots of nice walks, rail trails and hiking trails all around the city…. This was an awful incident and just so out of the ordinary for our city and state….
A beautiful love story. Sounds like true life-long love. Sad they're lives had to end this awful way, but glad they went together. 💔
They need to start keeping criminals in prison.
Truth
who's going to pay for it?
No release without a completion of a rehabilitation program and assessment of mental health and public safety risks.
Really seems like this guy slipped through the system. Plus he had some pretty serious mental issues, like a time bomb waiting for two innocent people to come along. Bloody sad, two lovely people gone and we’re stuck with this piece of shite.

As someone from southern NH, thank you for covering this. Love all your videos
What a sad case. RIP Stephen & Wendy, may you sleep with angels.
Unfortunately they are sleeping with worms and maggots. That's nature. Unless the formaldehyde is still in effect.
I love watching your videos. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into researching the cases. Your videos are so well made. ❤
Mike, I just wanna thank you (again) for your consistent hard work and dedication- also, it’s funny to think there was a time when it felt strange to see you without glasses 😂 take care cuz I love ya!! ❤
Steve and Wendy seemed cool ❤ Loved their pictures together especially when they were young, they both looked stunning and what a life they had.

Defending someone who is guilty as Hell what a job.
23:05 I love when they ask what have I done? Lol what they should actually be asking is, “what crime that I’ve committed have you found out about?” You know, just in case he talks about the wrong one and gives himself away lol
Hey Mike! Have you ever considered covering the unsolved case of Ken McElroy? He was a town bully and the townspeople murdered him 😮😳
He has covered this

I love it when they get the lawyer they deserve 😂😂
Living in Spokane Washington… it’s wild to me how many times it comes up in these stories
Hi Mike I need more videos please ,I'm done watching all 4 yrs of That Chapter 😢 and That Chapter podcast .
Wow, that's a marathon. Well done.
Still can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers. Like almost 2million is nothing to sneeze at, but every video is a banger…you should EASILY have many more millions.
Edit: I don’t even like true crime that much. And yet here I am. That’s how good your content is.
Vermont is my home,I have family around Burlington and the surrounding areas..some people are so scary, the things they can do to innocent people.
the officers during the arrest had me chuckling lmao
Thank you ☺️ for always making me laugh, love your videos.
What a beautiful couple. One bright spot in this dark world, taken away once again by a monster 😢
I’m so glad my mom introduced me to your videos! ❤ that being said, I’m also glad they caught this dirtbag
From Boston,Ma Not sure if anyone is aware, but Clegg had the same defense team as Adam Montgomery in his previous career criminal trial and in his upcoming trial into the disappearance and m*Eder trial of his daughter Harmony😢🙏🏽⚖️💜
This is such a sad and tragic case. I remember as LE was investigating thinking and praying the monster would be caught and he was.
Loved how the first set of cops handled him 🤣
i kinda jumped when i heard you mention togo. i’m a first-gen togolese-american, my parents immigrated and had my brothers and i in america. our grandmother (who mainly raised us) made sure to teach my older brother and i (little brother was born a little too late to glean as much as we did unfortunately lol) togolese culture and taught us to speak the major language (ewe/evegbe). i mentioned the case to my mother and she told me she knew of the case and knew some of mrs. reid’s family. what a small world :/
Mike be banging videos out at a furious pace…thanks That Chapter
I was smiling for the first 3:30 mins with the amazing achievements and love story, then remembered it’s Mike telling a TC crime. RIP
“Let’s give it a goo” 😂
God, don’t say “New Hammy” 😂
Oh. He was raised in Washington state. That explains a lot. They don’t really punish criminals there. They won’t even respond for retail theft. Or if your car gets broken into
The crime took place in NH though? What the hell does where he was born have to do with it? Some people are so dumb.
Very well done video. Thank you.
Excellent job, Mike! This case was a few towns over for me, and I am in awe of all the backstory you uncovered. Thanks always for your respect to the victims.
How are our not at 6 million subscribers by now? Your videos are great.
Rest in peace to Corey, Steve, and Wendy. ✝️ I'm just so glad this murderer is finally behind bars, albeit too late. There's no doubt in my mind he would've continued killing.
If I was going to be arrested I would want to be arrested by that cop there he is the most polite police officer I have ever heard on this app bar none Bravo sure well done every officer out there should take a lesson from you ✌️🇨🇦
He may have killed the Reids if they, on seeing a homeless man living in the woods, had stopped to talk to him with offers of help. Logan mean mugged people to keep them at a distance but I doubt that would have kept the Reids from reaching out to help him. They came too close and stayed too long. 😢
My thought as well.
This would absolutely make sense.
Law enforcement in the countries he visited should consider checking for similar crimes that occurred when he was in the area.
Just the idea that I might have crossed paths with him on the street in Lisbon gives me the chills. I'm so sorry about the victims, they seemed to be a great couple.
I really like your presentation: your accent, your facial expressions and your body language. I like the way you drop your H’s, so instead of saying thought, you say tought. The videos are good too and your presentation adds to the entertainment. Thank you info you provide as well. A big fan. 😀
I'm sorry if this comes off as insensitive, but, I love how the officers respected the silence in the library...that arrest was quiet as heck!
15:20 this cop is master of sarcasm 😂😂😂 “Oh it’s our fault? I’ll put in a request to have you do different things next time”
I just found your content. I’m a fan of true crime, but often I find the host is insensitive to the victims, or seems a bit ghoulish. I didn’t find that to be the case with you at all. You’re respectful and you concisely give the information without relishing the gore. This makes a great backdrop for me when I work or do daily tasks. Thanks for the great content. I will be looking up your old material and look forward to the new stuff as it comes out.
It is always a little weird to hear places you live by come up in videos like this. I live near Burlington, VT and it just blows me away how close that it.
I lived in Logan, UT for a short time and it's weird to hear it mentioned, it's such a small town.
Yep, I live in Spokane WA where he stabbed Corey- Corey was a chef at a taphouse that I’ve been to just 10 min from my house.
Though I’m not surprised that the original crime that he should’ve been in prison for occurred in WA.
I lived in Alton Woods years ago. Took my dog for walks on that trail. Scary
Lol @ "manson lamps" hahaha & the moutain man getting busted for supplements ! What a story...
I could listen to your show all day. You're like my modern day story narrator 😊
Luv U 2, our Mike, & I'm sure we'd love the missus too... 😸💗🇨🇦
Imagine getting ratted out by a vitamin order! 😂
Well, this is freaky. I live near Concord NH & have family near Burlington VT. I've friends in Utah & also in Spokane Washington.
I remember when this dear couple went missing, but don't watch the MSM & never found out the outcome of this case.
I'm certain he is a serial killer & murdered others in Europe. I'm glad he was found, apprehended, & is now in prison. May he never get out. I just wonder how many cold cases there are in Europe & America that he's responsible for [shiver].💀
Two Amazing Beautiful & Helpful people. Dedicating their lives to help the needy & this is what Lord rewards them with. Just so not right
RIP 🙏🏻 you Angels
I know it was 96,but id love to see you do a story on the rettendon range rover murders Mike, also known as the Essex boys murders... 2 people convicted bit no one believes they did it... Its an intriguing story.... Would love to see you cover it
I wonder if public defenders ever wink at the jury the entire time they are laying out their client's defense.
Wow, his mugshot sure is an angry image.
It amazes me how easy and calm his arrest was at the library, as opposed to many minorities' arrests are, which are a lot more violent, sometimes resulting in death of the suspected criminal.
Multiple armed burglaries and consistently out on probation? Suspected murder prior? That system is messed up.
1. Lots of rage in the stabbings. 2. Did law enforcement check unsolved crimes in the countries he visited? 3. Maybe he stole the money when he traveled overseas. 4. Did he travel where the Reids traveled? I have questions. RIP to the Reids and condolences to the family.
Jeez. That scumbag was caught TWICE committing crimes with stolen guns in his possession, and both times was allowed to skate. If he’d been charged and sentenced properly, that elderly couple wouldn’t have been killed by him. Our joke of a court system is almost as much to blame for their deaths as he is.
Ok maybe "murder for hire"? Lots of over seas trips, cash, so I don't know but could be!
Top notch stories/presentation!
I love watching/listening to you. Cant get into the listening only cause your expressions/mannerisms and deadpan looks are priceless and i love them! Going to get a tattoo soon for TC true crime but doing it in red/white for aka that chapter!
Thanks Mike
I really believe he was working as a hired assassin. That explains a lot about him. He isn't just a mentally ill guy who commits petty crimes but occasionally escalates them to murder.
Who knows how many others he has killed with no witnesses around...
The cops need to question people who knew the couple's routine and who knew they were going to the woods that day
Love you so much Mike. Our angel of true crime! 😅❤
What a shame that such a wonderful couple had their fate sealed by this scum bag. That hiker lady with the 2 dogs was far more brave than I would have been walking past that creep.
Thanks Mike this one was interesting and quite disturbing. Love ya xo
❤
Ty, its nice you cover crimes that are more obscure instead of the same ones over and.
How many senseless, tragic crimes are committed by people who shouldn't be out in the general public in the first place. Early releases, blunders in the judicial , prison and parole systems are 100% reasonsiible for many unessessary deaths and shattered lives.
The defence attorney is Caroline Smith, who recently defended Adam Montgomery
Hello, I'm new to your channel. I love these types of stories and the way you narrated it. I hear an accent an wondered where your from. Sounds like Irish or Scottish. I'm subscribing to hear more of real crime stories. Thanks. Deb😊
@9:55 campers are supposed to leave no trace when they leave their campsite. The fact that he left no sign of being there is only evidence that he was responsible camper... even if he was a serial killer.
So many questions left unanswered, but another brilliant case none the less. Thanks Mike ❤

I live in Concord and used to walk these trails a lot. I remember seeing the couple at the grocery store I worked at and they always seemed so sweet and friendly, it so heartbreaking what happened to them
Wow 🙂
Concord is so expensive. Why do you live there? all you money is going towards paying to live there
@@puzzlite🤣🤣
I used to work on some really expensive old houses in Concord. They were an absolute nightmare to keep up once they get to be over 150 years old especially when the homeowner wanted to maintain the historical value and keep things exactly the same. Then you get into some really expensive custom restoration, actually milling your own crown mouldings and things like that. I learned from some amazing carpenters in Concord but not a one could afford to live there haha@@puzzlite

We need another chapter on this guy-the one where they’ve solved the why/how he created fake identities and the why/how he was able to travel the world while working at a fast food place and living camped in the woods.
A crazy, intriguing story
Yeah where did he get the money for all of that travel?
bet he was a hitman
I want to see the trial.
and what did he get up to in those other countries? I'll bet he didn't just live peacefully.
Someone should interview this convict and try to get him to explain why he had all the cash, fake passports, stolen guns, and where these things came from, what he did in Europe, and if he's a hired assassin? I'll also post this same suggestion in the comments section and maybe as a reply to the largest thread under the video. This story seems interesting and I'd like to know who he is and if he has connections with wealthy people, and if so, what those are.
They could have 20+ more years with family and friends to enjoy golden years. This is just tragic.
Strange that nobody wonders if he was hired by someone, I mean serial usually have some sort of ritual... this looks like a hit, and the astounding amount of money? The fake passport? They should investigate his phone records at least.

This case makes me so angry! Good video, Mike.🥵
It really is. Freaking monsters taking wonderful people away. 😞
😔💐
There were too many instances of him being caught with stolen guns, he was obviously always looking for trouble plus 2 robberies, he should've never been let outta jail
I was ready to comment this exact statement! It’s ridiculous how little time he received for armed robbery, after being a convicted felon for a previous charge! If he was given the proper time, the beautiful couple would still be alive. 😢
My thoughts exactly. The investigators on his various cases were either lazy or simply not too bright. Had he been put away, this lovely, innocent couple would still be alive today. The police and investigators on his previous crimes, particularly the stabbing death, hold some responsibility for the murders of the Reid’s. May they be resting in peace. God knows they deserve to be.
It's nuts
@shantiltaylor105 you're 100% right
Justice system seems to give too long sentences to many non-violent crimes and then are way to lenient on violent crimes/repeats/people with massive red flags
I've met people like Clegg before. It's always unsettling. They're so angry and hateful and petty--and they have no drive to do anything but hurt others to feel better about their own inadequacy. They just wreck everything and everyone around them and blame everyone for the damage except themselves.
They’re demonic entities
Yeah this kid is one loathesome, arrogant POS.
@@pale_saintYes, I know a major narcissist and his narcissistic brother, raised by their narcissistic atheist mother and passive father (who ended up leaving them after a long affair with the babysitter). The whole situation feels like Satan’s creation.
Yeah mental health sucks big time
I also have known a couple of people like this--your description is very accurate. Fortunately, the two I am mentioning are now gone, by their own hand. They were truly a danger to any they disliked in the local community.
Wendy and Stephen had more of an impact on this world than that monster ever will. May they RIP.
They supported a weak criminal justice system. They're progressives. Clegg would've been locked up and this could've been prevented. But you know, progressives don't believe in locking people up. Typical NH liberals, it's why the safest state is having a crime and drug problem.
I gave your comment a thumbs down because describing anyone as being either evil or a monster is ludicrous. How can you possibly be so uneducated as to have never heard of poor mental health? It is not even complicated to comprehend that those of us fortunate to have a sound healthy mind, dont go around harming kids or adults, do we? no, we dont! Please conduct some serious study into criminal physiology.
The main issue is the fact that the vast majority of people have an average or below average IQ and as such are unable to comprehend the vast difference between an excuse for human behaviour and a genuine reason for said behaviour!
That is so true.
What a devastating ending for two people who had spent their entire lives dedicated to helping others.
My thoughts exactly and after finding tranquility and happiness in the New World the fact that anyone would presume to smash it all up really angers me! ☘️
It is unbelievable
They were the most genuine good people ever.. That's what i pick up any way
In places the USA helped destroy. Remember that the USA red Cross stole 500 million dollars for the hurricane fund of Haiti.
I had a feeling the couple wasn't gonna make it, but geeze the first thing I read was your comment and made me not enjoy the video as much, thanks.
