I believe men are most likely to literally fall in love at first sight, but women fall in love at first emotional attraction

I used to believe in love at first sight, but not anymore. When I met my specific person, I thought it was love at first sight, and I thougth that for a very long time. Looking back, I now know that it was really more attraction at first sight... And it was intense, let me tell you! It was euphoric. It was explosive. It was sexy. I have never experienced that much attraction and excitement with anyone else. This was like on another level. Her eyes were all big and lit up and we couldn't stop looking at each other. It was like two magnets smashed together. What an amazing feeling that was. I've had several other encounters, but they were not quite like this one. I'll never forget it. Sadly, this person hurt me real bad many years later, worse than I ever imagined any woman would ever be able to hurt my heart as bad as she did. And I was sure that she was the one.. meant to be put in my path. Only now do I realize it was just attraction. The love came later. Love at first sight? Perhaps. Perhaps not. Who knows, maybe someday another amazing girl will come along and prove me wrong. Hope so. - Cheers

I believe it has to do with imprinting.. as in people being very attractive to the familiar.. sometimes that familiar might be that they look like your ex or remind one of a past caregiver in some respect.

There is no such thing as love at first sight. It's attraction at first sight. Love develops overtime. The attraction you feel in the beginning can develop into real love once the dopamine and norepinephrine subsides and you get to know the person well. That is real love.

I personally don’t believe in love at first sight. My ex said when he first saw me, he instantly knew he loved me. 6 years later and 3 breakup in between, I find out he is an avoidant. So it wasn’t love.

On that note we both have a lot of trauma =/ and both very sensitive. Our deep conversations and niche music taste. 🥺

I would like to hear if avoidants cheat in the relationship and their sexual partners during the breakup.
    Thanks for the great video.

If they are broken up is it cheating is that what you're asking?

Obviously a generalization, but assuming the avoidant is female and introverted, I’d say hard no. Key differentiating factor would be whether they’re extroverted or introverted. Moral police please do not come arrest me, I’m not implying that extroverted individuals are cheaters or disloyal. I just believe extroverted individuals have a greater proclivity to diversifying their emotional bandwidth into a greater number of individuals, hence why they’re identified as extroverted, so this can potentially lead to lower skepticism when qualifying a person suitability for intimate closeness with them, more often that not avoidant attached people run away from emotional intimacy like it’s the plague, however, avoidant attached individuals often are the masters of compartmentalization ( especially DAs ) which can result in promiscuity as a pseudo intimacy supplementation. I think extroverts have greater tendency towards this, where as introverts tend to be more self sufficient mentally and emotionally, ( basically they spend a lot more time in their mind with their thoughts and feelings) therefore it’s more difficult to separate their actions from the corresponding feelings, which results in having more intensity feelings lasting a longer period of time, so wounds take longer to heal, this discourages quick repeated attempts, for fear of repeated failures.
