Oh my god , Thank you now I know this and will possibly use it on some of my models, right now am making cloth by adding each individual polygon and grid filling, and It sucks how long it takes
Very nice clear tutorial - works like a charm. One thing please. The shirt and the character seem to remain separate. I have converted the shirt to a mesh but it's not following the body - it's still a separate object??
I have a question: So to keep using the cloth simulations like you did in your examples, do you have to start with the clothes sewing in a t-pose each time? that doesn't seem practical for longer scenes, where you maybe want to start the character in a certain pose.
Thanks for the tutorial, everything worked out as it should. I now have a problem with the animation tho. The cloth wraps around the body just fine when it's t posing but not when I parent it to the armature. Maybe its because of the automatic weights? edit: alright I didn't apply the cloth modifier, now when it's apllied, it works. However there is alot of clipping, any tips on that?
Brother I am a beginner but i have known blender interface and tools And a little bit shading as well. I have taken tutorials like them which are in sequence 1 by 1 maybe 10 video and i made some projects by watching "how to make" type video so i wanna ask should I continue tutorial videos or continue make projects. I hope you understand my point. 🥰
When I tried this the clothes just bunch up. I'm about to give up on youtube tutorials for good. Just call it a speed whatever cause it's not a good tutorial, just being honest.
I understand not being able to follow UA-cam tutorials, or doing it and having it be messed up, but the more you mess up, the more you should be motivated, and when you fix it, the better you get at troubleshooting, just take time and re-watch the video, maybe you missed something, does your topology look the same as his? Are you maybe on an incompatible blender version? If you are trying an advanced shirt, maybe start with the one in the tutorial. Ask questions, other people can help.
only if i understood u better i would love this vid but i try following an somethings u did u didnt say what u clicked on an if u did i couldn't understand some of what u was say but keep up the work iam shure some people can understand u
Hey! So I set up the cloth and collision properties as you suggested, plus I’m using the t pose model you linked. I’m having issues at 4:25 , when I click play my cloth just inflates super quickly instead of colliding into the shape of the model. this must be a gravity issue but I’m not sure how to fix it?
Thank you! Tell me please. I have a scene from a mixamo animation sequence. I download animations at 30 frames per second. The overall scene is 24 frames per second. The entire scene has 600-700 frames. The animation starts normally. Then the clothes wrinkle (spoil). Does FPS matter for clothing simulation? All lessons are short on UA-cam. Can this standard simulator be used in longer projects or is it not intended for professional use?
the simulation and the scenes should have similar frame counts.. plus try the animation.. once ur satisfied. Then bake it. So you dont face any prbs.. and it can be used for a moderate amount of animation.. not too long i guess.
@Rouge_Knight3D i seem to have problems at 1:25 when trying to split the plane in half using the faces mode. i'm still overall new and tbh doing this confuses me even more xD
A Bit confused at why proportional Editing isn't doing a thing? I Turned it on, grabbed the Vertice and tried scrolling with the mouse wheel just to find it goes in and out of the model? I tries holding left click, holding the mouse wheel, Pressing page up and down to no avail. I even tried re-opening blender incase it was bugged. What am i doing wrong? is there a shortcut i don't know about?
@@RogueKnight3D I found the reason, For some reason the indicated circle was so wildly zoomed out I couldn't notice it at all, I must of done this in a previous project without realising 🤭
this is genuinely pretty decent but i dont know if this is exactly beginner friendly trying to figure out why mine doesnt look right has been making my brain want to die
my clothing is overlapping, the pants are under the shirt but the pants are showing through the shirt. how do i get the shirt to sit on top of the pants?

Effective and to the point! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
🔥🔥Very Well bro Thanks for your efforts.
You clear my question about clothing and i learn alot from this video ✨
Its totally ok. Am. Glad you found it useful

Thanks.. Once its a mesh. You have to parent it to the armature as well. For it to follow

This might be a stupid question, but once the cloth modifier is applied, does it still react to the form underneath it being animated??
Thanks for the tutorial, everything worked out as it should.

Its totally ok.. Am glad it worked.. Play around with the collision.. It will fix clipping in many areas..

You should watch tutorials plus make your own projects as well.. Soon you wont be relying fully on tuts

It shouldnt happen if u didn't miss any step.. but will check in a while what can be in the issue. Just in the middle of something right now
Thanks!

sign you need a new pc. flaowing a guide from a year ago and pc freezes.

Press control r and put an edge loop right in centre.. thrn in face mode select one side. X to delete it. Then in modifiers tab. Select mirror..
thank you@@RogueKnight3D

Hello, I did all of the steps, but when when I press play my cloth flies away/falls out of the universe… sorry, what did I do wrong?
Great video! I am having an issue with the gaps on the sewing lines. How do I get them to close?
Scale. Up. Your cloth a lil... Increase your tie force nd solidify. It mostly get them close. But will make a separate video on that again as well.
@@RogueKnight3D Thank you! I'll give that a shot! Such a great video. Keep up the great work!
Thanks 😊
I did the exact same steps but when I hit play animation the cloth goes straight through the hands and start glitching
You have to. Apply collision.. And if the hands over lap. Each other. Then it sure gona show. Problems
🙏👍
Thx

Hey man
Whenever I hit the cloth modifier thing
My shirt goes down in the object mode
Then goes back to the chest on edit mode
What M I doing wrong??
You should be on frame 1. When applying and dealing with cloth modifer

Its ok
doesnt work it just goes through my model
how to make the cloth static while creating a complete animation scene
Simply convert it to mesh.. And it's gona be static and animate with the body. Without any animation of its own
@@RogueKnight3D ok.. great.. but there's a problem.. a small one.. how do I convert it to mesh?
Select the cloth.. Right click.. Convert .. . Mesh
how to export this to unreal?
Ether your gona export mesh to unreal.. Or if u want phyaics. use a 3rd party cloth physics soft to be imported to ue..
can this be easily taking into ue5?
I haven't tried it. Yet . But will try some day. As a mesh yeah. But as a cloth will try
My dress didn't collide 😢
I did all the steps but when I hit play, nothing happens. Do you know why?
something should happen, if you did all the steps. better reset to frame 0 and try again
this is genuinely pretty decent but i dont know if this is exactly beginner friendly
trying to figure out why mine doesnt look right has been making my brain want to die
it can be beginners friendly but you have to try alot, like you will make mistakes and repeat the process, you will get a hold of it.
@@RogueKnight3D i see, thanks for your feedback
my clothing is overlapping, the pants are under the shirt but the pants are showing through the shirt. how do i get the shirt to sit on top of the pants?
You have. To add collision.. On both of them. For. Them to not .overlap
@@RogueKnight3Dfunny thing is, I had a dream last night that collision would fix that issue. Thanks for the feedback!
not working

This process is exactly like the Blender Secrets process. Forgot to add the baking step.
baking has been done in the video , the method is the same bro, modeling and sewing,

Animation did not worked 😕
This was less mind blowing than most tutorials.
I've been looking at a ton of models but got frustrated since the clothing on them was limited.
Before u make a video make sure u know how to speak english correctly
Hello, when I press ctrl r there no loop cut that appears. I’m struggling for a minutes 🥲
You should be in edit mode for that. Press tab on keyboard to be in edit mode then control r
