Have a look at sparky's on the loose and mr buckaroo . Just coach bolts are good 135mm x 10mm. Also look in op shop for egg beater. You can only use one but it helps cooking. I am making a deadman anchor. I have a friend with a heavy duty sawing machine. The multimeter can be fixed. There two fuses. One 3amps the other is 10amps but its $22.00 from jaycar and needs to be ordered. Thanks for the tips. Russell.
Most power steering pumps are a seal, bearing and a gasket. Seal and bearing under $20 at Bearing Service Centre and use the gasket again. Shaft and pump gears don't wear because they never have friction with anything except fluid. Just replace those bits and it will work and last as good as a new one.
I also have a very nice 2way radio in my glove box of my 4x4 Infiniti QX80. It has come in very handy for me twice before. I like how you have yours also. I always charge mine when I want to take a trip that is atleast 2 hours long.
Awesome video Danie, I'm defo getting a tray back Toyota when I'm back home from over seas as my 105 is a beast of a thing just want a light weight rig like yours keep up the good work stay safe and keep smiling X
Hey little lady - start by stripping the cab and adding good sound insulation throughout (floor, back, doors and roof). Buy some liquid wrench! And I look forward to see what your build will look like when done - great work.
Love your videos Danie, you make me smile with how casual you are. love it..... keep them coming. Hope you do a vid on the awning as I'm looking to by one myself.
I enjoyed this video a lot, your truck is set up like mine ie. spare parts, recovery gear, tools even water and something to eat if your stuck out for longer then expected. I cant wait to see a vid of you installing the awning and winch. I installed my winch two years ago (pic is pre winch) for insurance to getting unstuck alone. also mounted a 24" led light bar above winch.
Same. So I tried to unscrew it to take it out. And same thing. So either way she was seized in the adjusting bracket and was gonna snap either way. 20+ Year old rusty bolts will do that
Hey Dani , been looking out for you for a while. Great vid (again) , quick tip : try and keep your fingers off the glass on your halogen globes , the natural oils in your skin will dramatically reduce their life (it reacts with the glass when they get hot). You should probably keep them inside a nice snug little clean box also , not just floating around in with everything else (oily stuff ?). Really enjoyed the walk through , you presented it well. Looking forward to your next one. PS: nice top !!
The one you see is an old one that I removed. The new ones are in those sealed packets you can see. And for $8ea they definitely don't need anywhere fancy to live haha
Excellent selection of spare parts, fluids, etc. I may have missed some of the items you carry on board but do you have a 1st aid kit to include a venom extractor & epi pen? Road flares or flare gun? I always try to keep a tube of RTV; it’s a pliable gasket maker / sealer. In America it comes in a variety of types for example; oil resistant, heat resistant, etc. Good stuff to have!
I do keep a blue gasket sealant which I didn't show but yes I do need to invest in a first aid to keep permanently. If I go away I just take the house one
Love your strength to lift that spare tyres onto the tray, I have to lift up by rolling it up my leg. In NSW the police would love to give you a ticket for an unsecured load, because even though you ratchet strapped it down, it doesn't have a net over it. That has cost many tradies thousands. Love your videos.
Thank you! Yeah QLD is a bit different by the sounds of it just has to be secure, no overhang or block view of lights. If something cannot be restrained by straps it needs a net
Stanley tools are so underrated, they definitely are awesome! I feel your pain with the air con, my 105 currently has no air con because my compressor died, probably to much mud....
Cheeky fyi. If you broke the other two bits off the band that hand cuff key would work pretty well. But not on qld handcuffs. They are double locked. On cheapoes yep it would.
Your country gets all the best Land cruiser series and options. I have a 100 series petrol but would love to have a Land cruiser like yours some day. I have to wait 25 years from the manufacture date to import something like yours. Great vid. Subbed and looking forward to more content.
Another awesome vid Dani, poor Mars with the cone of shame. Always a challenge with active working dogs and wound management. You handle jumping up on the cruiser and working under the bonnet like a pro, and well done on your composure. I reckon at that point my inward swearing would have become outward in the blink of an eye. Haha
That's all the sort off stuff we carry over here in UK. But I normal have to carry a bit more because I'm the one wich gets stuck with fixing all the bigger problems on the other trucks so my springs go through a lot. But just building a new truck. Got a old range rover pick up wich was complete until I put on its side so made in to a pick up years ago but now it's going back on the road. Because other truck is going to the truck spare parts place now. L.o.l
@@DanieSimpson well hopefully it will be. Depends on how deep my pockets want to go. Sorry a recon power steering box is an improvement and an upgrade. It has to be better than a leaking fluid on the road that causes a hazard for other road uses and the environment will thank you. Be prepared to replace bit on your truck its an old girl she will thank you later.
The Toyota adjustment bolts snap really easily. Ask me how I know. I have even snapped one which was a replacement! You think I would learn. Anyway, Toyota part number 88446 is what you're looking for. As a swop, you don't know the part number of your radiator is do you? Or anyone else for that matter. I have a 2.4 Prado 70. At some point I want to put a 4.2 into it so would like the radiator first.

The next thing to buy after all the cruiser parts should be a frisbee

Always!!
Injector cleaner formula is basically petrol. Don't use it constantly or you'll do damage especially if it's done 600k already.

You can buy stronger steering boxes, if you're turning into rocks and trying to get out of washouts offroad its a good to have strong box.
