Just picked up the 944 FST and the Heavy Duty Front Springs for my 03 Ultra - I do a lot of 2 Up cross continent riding. Exicited to experience the difference. thanks for your vids!
I bought these for my 07 RG and felt like I chose the wrong brand...until...I saw this post! I adjusted the shock a few turns, got that 1" sag and now, I feel the difference. Great vid, Thank you!
Great video. I purchased the 444 for my 14 Ultra Limited but went with the 13" as I am 6'3". I got really tired of the air shocks losing air. When I rode 2 up with my wife and loaded down, we constantly bottomed out on holes and bumps. Not anymore!
Yeah I believe these shocks are s***. And I think it's warranted to piss all over them and complain because they're not useful if nobody keeps them on ever!
How do we factor in the weight of the saddlebags and their contents? As well as the passenger. You doing a great job of instructing a basic shock install. But we all know there more to it.
Quick question......I weigh about 250 but Im losing weight , Im on a diet. My wife, who seldom rides with me weights about 180. So, should I just go ahead and adjust the shocks for me and then add like a 1/2 turn for her. I don't want to continually adjust them so Im trying to find a nominal adjustment that works for me one up or when she is on and we are two up.....Can you help..???
Awesome video dude, I am just confused about getting the right shocks size fir my ride, as I am short also, wondering if I get the 11” shocks what is the size after installation? Does it come down to 10.5” or so, also after setting on the bike does it also come more down to 10.2”? Also how are the shocks after 2 years now?
You lowered the bike, got a good stand, but are you happy with only 2 inch suspension travel? Can't imagine that this has any comfort. Regards from Austria.
I have the same issues. Already dropped 2" and use the super reach seat. But the ride is so harsh my teeth rattle. How are these shocks for smoothing out the road surfaces? And how much shorter did you go from the stock shocks? I have an 03 Electra glide cop bike.
Did you find something that works for you? I installed Drag Specialities adjustable shocks (standard motorcycle shocks) P/N 1310-1313 they come in 12" and 13". Much better than the OEM air shocks.

Very impressed with the 412 Series Progressive rear coil overs we installed on 2021 RGS #performancebaggin build!
You have great radio voice! Very clear, great review!
Second that
Thanks for the review and video. It provided some great insight on the installation and quality of this shock.
I found a pair of 444 heavy on line. I'm 250 lbs. On the softer setting I'm only getting half inch sag. Thought I for sure needed heavey springs.
The heavy springs are way too much. Standard is more than adequate

Would this be a good choice for a 2017 Harley Freewheeler ?
Thanks for the walk through and review. Lettuce know how they are a year-is later ; )

Since lowering your bike, did you have to adjust your belt?
What would be very good shocks that I can lower my 2014 road king for that look but have a very nice ride for like bumps and whst not

What year is your road king
A pro-tip wow !!!!!
so many bushings with no instructions on which to use for your bike
Mainly highway driving not real aggresive on back roads
944 would have dropped the bike by 1 inch
Good lord 😳 installation not history, research, therapy lol.
35-40lb is not a ton...lol was he being funny...i thought it was funny
