Both of these songs are incredibly emotional, and on my list for best video game music of all time. Toby Fox did an incredible job both creating the game Undertale and its soundtrack; and I tried to capture the passion and emotion he clearly put in to Undertale in this cover. I'd been wanting to do a big epic post-rock style cover for a while, and I came up with doing His Theme in that style and I just had to do it! I really wanted to bring in Home's melody, since I love that song, and as I was arranging, Hopes and Dreams fit in quite well. As I was playing Home, I accidentally started playing Stickerbush Symphony from Donkey Kong Country 2, and it just worked so beautifully I had to include it! It's one of my favorite tracks ever and such a classic of the VGM community; I hope you enjoy hearing my little take on it :D. I put in a couple references to Porter Robinson songs too; since he's my favorite artist and it just worked with the style! I'm super happy with the arrangement and mix on this cover; and so I didn't want to just film in my living room, so I took this one outside! It was 27 degrees and my hands were so cold all I could feel was pain but it was so worth it; this video looks way more professional.
