Undertale really changed my life. It sounds silly, talking this way about a game, but it really did. I was skepticle about life, just living every day, feeling like I'm missing something, and that I don't fit in. The game made me realise that I am different than most people around me, but I don't care. I am who I am. It made me give a chance to meeting new people, that a stranger has the potential to be a friend. It really did fill me with determination.
See im seeing people say they feel nostalgic even when they havent played it or heard it for the first time. Thats not nostalgia, thats the heart and soul of the work of someone who just made an exceptional song and can a story very well through it. I listened to this and all i could see was the actual scene, the moment and the feeling behind it. This is probably one of the most exceptional ones I've heard.
I start discover undertale fandom alone with touhou in 2016 Both fandom and songs are so good and some of it are tearjerking Sad nowadays people said undertale fandom was worst fandom in internet. Back in the days its popular and loved by all people

**You opened your eyes. You wonder "What day is it?", so you check the date on your phone. Then it hit you. Today was the day. Four years has officially passed since the game came out. It's been a long journey, hasn't it? Even if it really has been 4 years, it still feels like the game just came out a month ago. You remembered all the friends you made on your journey. Made friends with a motherly queen, befriended and dated a skeleton, fought with a confident fish, helped a scientist dino-lizard fight with her anxiety, befriended and danced with a robot, befriended and forgave a king, and made a soulless flower prince smile. You admitted that eventually you reset their memories, went on a killing spree, ending every single life there was left. On this journey, you learned that you have to take responsibility for your actions, and not all things can be forgotten. You can't run away from your mistakes, but you can always try again. So you reset once again, once again befriending every soul there was, once again redeeming yourself, and finally, receiving forgiveness from a fellow skeleton. You felt that everything was ok once again, and you used to play for hours. You thought "If only there was a way to forget everything so I could experience the whole game all over again." 4 years, everyone. We've come so far, and we can't let the game die yet. Others may say that the game has been far gone, but we know that there are still other people out there who love the game just as much as you do. Don't let this die. Don't give up! Stay *Determined* !!!

It's been 5 years, but despite everything, *It's still you* Dear Toby Fox, These were the words that got me to where i am today, and at this moment. I wouldn't have become the person i am today if it wasnt for you and that brilliant mind of yours. Those words have taught me that, no matter what you've done, or where you've been, *you are still the person that you were before* I want you to realize, the game you created, is a grounding rock for me and many others. I want to thank you immensely for everything youve done for the world. You have no idea how much Undertale has had an effect on everyone, and myself included. You have taught me so much without knowing my name, or even knowing i exist, and thats okay. I am so grateful for YOUR existence, and i want you to know that no matter what, i will always be a part of the Undertale community, because it has helped me through so much, and i cant lose that happiness, that love, that, DETERMINATION. I cannot thank you enough, and i hope one day you will grow to understand how you have been given a true gift, one true gift, that no one else can match. I thank you once again, Toby Fox. -S
Damn...just....wow. That was a crazy roller coaster of emotions. Going from peaceful, to sad, to hopeful, and then to bittersweet. You made this song sync up perfectly with what was going through my head during the final hour of Undertale.
Never doing genocide. I've grown super attached to the characters, and who am I to ruin their happy ending? Besides; I feel accomplished. I finally beat it nearly 4 days ago. It felt great. Tears rolling down from my tears to my cheeks. I'm happy; _they're_ , happy.
Well, nobody really *wants* to do the genocide run *because* they've grown so attached to the characters. That being said, doing the genocide route is recommended as it reveals a lot of story details and sheds a whole new light on the game. Basically, go for it. You're missing out if you don't
@DustyTurquoise *sigh.* Apparently this still has to be said even three and a half years later. There's absolutely nothing wrong with preferring a route, and there's nothing wrong with growing attached to fictional characters. But literally saying "F those guys" to people who prefer a different route is immature and stupid. I don't prefer the Genocide route but I do like it for what it is, as it gives extra insight and I happen to like creepy stories, and the route is certainly creepy. They are, at the end of the day, fictional characters. Please don't insult people over something like that. It's not like they're killing real people.
For years I've been coming here for a good cry whenever I needed one, I just sit there with closed eyes for 7 minutes and let the music take control over my emotions. This is the first time I've ever commented on a video, but I felt like I needed to leave this message here. Truly a beautiful piece and I am so eternally grateful that you decided to share it with the world.
It's been five years... A friend that has kickstarted the game and had an spare copy gave me this masterpiece... I would never imagine that a single game would change the whole image I had about myself. On how cruel I could and would turn if there were no consequences, on how I could reproduce cruelty just because it was acepted, just because it would be fun, a game that showed me what kind of monster I would turn if I have power. This music represents not only Determination, but the redemption of my soul, my ability to make sacrifices for what is right. I guess Toby Fox would never read this comment, but if one of you happen to know him, thank him for me.

God damn, it's been a couple of years since I moved away from undertale and its fandom. I put 90+ hours into the game when it first came out, was actively involved in the fandom, despite the toxicity. I've recently come back to the music side of undertale because the community and everyone have poured so much love and genuine passion into remaking, remixing, and creating unique pieces out of Toby Fox's masterpiece of a game. I'd like to say thank you to all of the music makers, comic illustrators, and animators out there for making the undertale community shine! And to all of you fellow fans out there, well, Stay Determined!
Imagine: It's Christmas Eve. Toriel and Frisk are out doing last chance Christmas shopping, Asgore is acting as Santa Claus with undyne and alphys as his elves. Mettaton is doing some singing at grillby's, while Sans and Papyrus enjoy a meal. They All notice a shooting star outside. Once their obligations are done, they follow it to where it vanished, to a gigantic Christmas tree. Asriel is there.
This song is the reason I decided to complete Undertale. This game has the best story delivery and soundtracks.I can't even imagine that an 8 - bit RPG can give me such a good experience that I will never forget. Thanks to Rush Garcia.

Every time I come back to these songs, I remember how much I loved this game and still do. I learned to love more than I ever have from Undertale. I’m so glad that I got to play this game.
same here... Undertale is more than a game. It is a rite of passage, a lifechanging experience. It has made me redefine the simplest words. "love". "friend". "save". "hope". "dream". "free".
Why is everyone saying they want a Undertale Movie? I mean, it would be cool if it turned into a Movie but it wouldn't be the same since its no longer based of your choices but off a Script written by someone. Its a great thing but I think a Movie would just ruin it. Edit: Sorry for not responding earlier to your comments. I keep comment notifications off and I just saw this. So I read all of your comments and I think that an interactive 'Animated Series' ('cause live actions almost always sucks) like Bandersnatch (which, btw, I haven't still watched) could work if done right but I still believe that the game should just be left the way it is. Just my thoughts.
maybe we should make it like dora the explorer where EVERY GODDAMN MOMENT the mc ask what should we do now that I think about it, that's a pretty bad idea

@@iancomtois9832 tis yay :D Me too, the characters tend to be deeper. As a writer, it has helped me explore the route of "lying to yourself" in characters, which is common yet subtle in Undertale. :)
@Son Goku te Putea Nice try troll. Minecraft is a literally pixels smashed together. Super Mario the first release, Castlevania, Metroid all of are classics.
This literally made me cry, not one of those joke comments, like this seriously made me cry, Undertale made me into the person I am today, even with procrastination I eventually end up doing what I want too, or what I have too, it’s made me more determined, and more helpful towards others, and I absolutely love the game, sometimes I wish I could go back to those times where I was more socially awkward, when I had first actually played the game for myself, so I can feel the beautiful experience of my morality going higher, and my love for the game grow, as I saw all of my friends in the game, and said my final goodbye to them, and I’m happy from it, because I did the pacifist route last, which made me experience the easy way out on the first hand, not caring too much about the characters, but then after deciding to not be an A Hole in the game, I finally felt something meaningful residing in me, watching all of my favorite characters live their lives, all happy, and I remember, I did this, and that I can make a change, for the better.
When describing this game to someone; it's a heartwarming, funny, game about love, true friendship, compassion, mercy, determination, hopes, and dreams. (Pause for effect) ....and in some cases, genocide!
OH MY GOD YES am i also the only one who feels like if undertale was made into a movie, it would be the only videogame movie thats at least SLIGHTLY decent??
I remember playing this beautiful masterpiece, and still, about 5 or 6 years later, I still love this beautiful game. The best storyline I’ve ever seen in a game, the best characters I’ve ever seen in a game, the game I’ve been the most attached to in my whole life, the best everything! This game has helped me through some hard times, and it still hasn’t let off. And you know, no one else should either! If you’re in a bad spot right now, strive through it! Don’t let anything get in your way! Humans don’t live long! So live your life with no regrets and live it the best way you can! Enjoy life, enjoy everything about it! Be thankful for any kindness that you receive and give kindness back! No matter what, never give up. If you do, you’ll regret it later on. And again, if you’re in a tough spot in life, or in anything! Don’t give up! Ask for help! Ask anyone! Life is valuable, so don’t waste it. *Stay Determined!*
Nowhere in the entire Kingdom Hearts series is a boss song anything like this. It's pretty much always an electronic-orchestral mix with organs or a single violin as the lead. The only exception that comes to mind is Roxas, and even that one builds up quite a bit. This song's too slow and classical to fit.
I think its kind of fitting for the first half because that is what the fight was trying to give us An emotional Fight but for the rest of it Its really slow it really need a kick It dose not mean I hate it I love it I'm just saying there's some things that could have been in there like electric guitar to give it the kick.

Listening to this makes me think about how Frisk wasn't the most powerful, or even very powerful at all. but she beat Asriel while being way weaker and didn't have to kill anyone along the way. She did the impossible while being the best her she could be, and that truly does fill me with determination. Stay merciful, everyone.
It really works doesn't it. Quite honestly Undertale will be one of the few films where people get just as annoyed if the music doesn't fit as they would with anything else. With all the great tracks in it's score it would be insane not to make the most off it. On that note what I see is the opening being (oh yeah spoiler) where Asriel has just tried to destroy everything. Then you notice Frisk standing there somehow alive in the obliterated world. At 47seconds they drop their dagger making Asriel recoil in confusion. Then at 0:58 they open their eyes and extend an open hand to Asriel... 1:09 cue showdown of love and forgiveness.
+Thomas Mason eh. Heheh. Nah. Actually, that's a great idea. Instead of the showdown of love and happiness though, it should Asriel takes hand, fade to white, flashback of multiple shots in movie, then abrupt stop on black screen, then Frisk suddenly falls past, then cut to another camera angle of frisk falling, then a shot of frisk hitting the ground, when they make contact, instant black screen. Then after a few seconds, it fades to frisk passed out on the ground, then wakes up. And then it's just the rest of the game.
This is literally the first song I listened to in 2019, I hope that all the good emotions that it brings bless our lifes in this new year. Happy 2019 everybody!

This game and all it's comics helped me through my depression and still does I've seen so many comics and they allowed me to feel joy, pain, anger, sadness and feel like I was there. Shout out to Sans! He's such a cool guy and he goes through so much and I know what it feels like to be like that and I wish I could just give him a hug and say "I'm here for you, don't be afraid to talk to me. Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on."
My brother has been struggling with drug addiction for quite some time now. It's been a burden not only for him, but for me and my whole family. Seeing how far he'll go to lie and decieve, even after I think the worst has passed, has been heartbreaking and has greatly hurt the trust I once had in him. At times it seems like there's no end to it all, like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Time after time I've wanted to yell at him for being a good-for-nothing loser who doesn't even care about his family, even when he says he does. That no matter how compelling his speeches of reform are, he'll always break his word and go back to ruining his life more than he already has. But then I remember Papyrus. I remember the hope he had in people, even if it was born of ignorance. Out of all the characters in the Undertale genocide rout, Papyrus was the ONLY one who didn't give up on you, the only one who still believed you had some good in you. Then I think of the times when I should have cared more for my brother, when I should have shown compassion and faith in the prospect of his change even when it felt like a joke. So I can't give up. Even if he does, I have to be there for him. Even if there's the slightest chance that the old brother I once knew is in there, it's a chance I have to believe in. I have to be his Papyrus.
That's right. I'm still here. But hey, we will never and NEVER forget Undertale. It's not a simple game, it's an antidepression, a medicine for the world we live in.
Playing Undertale was a life changing experience for me. It's just a beautiful and meaningful game, that really meant something to me. I cried so much during the game and during this song. Thank you.
A few ears ago I was rabidly obsessed with this game in a very cringey way, me and my friend having made a how to never touch it again due to how much we have looking back on how bad we were (typical annoying as EFF 12 year old fangirls of this game you've seen em) But I suddenly thought about it in class without any explanation, just humming this and I'm looking back through the ost and kinda remembering how amazing it was which is why so many get obsessed, having never experienced something this beautiful before, since then I have had two other games hit that close to my heart but the nostalgia for this one and the time I played it in....I think I'm ready to replay it. If anyone actually read all of this the point I was trying to make is to not hate this game for its fandom, yeah it's a mess...but try and ignore it since if you ever loved it....it'll hold a place in your heart, just please bury your old accounts 😂😂😂 I remember finding so much cringey fannart and being like OKAY WE'RE HAVING A BONFIRE *but just don't forget the actual game cuz of that...I made that mistake^^;;;*

i feel the same way but instead of looking back and cringing at what i did, i like to look back and laugh. it was such an incredible game and i had so much to offer because i loved it so much (and i still do), so looking back to a time where i was so happy to offer everything i had for this one small thing makes me happy! it makes me happy to see that i was so creative with what i did, and yeah, it was super bad, but i was enjoying it in the moment! usually thats what i like to think when i look back on cringe memories haha
@@c4l1c0 same here, and I can see how some of the things I did were predecessors and the start to a lot of things I love doing now, writing and drawing stories, and this game was the first video game to ever touch my heart (since then I've had danganronpa v3 and persona 5 reach the same point) and I want to actually make something like this when I'm older....so I'll always thank it and defend it at the end of the day....

You thought "If only there was a way to forget everything so I could experience the whole game all over again."
4 years, everyone. We've come so far, and we can't let the game die yet. Others may say that the game has been far gone, but we know that there are still other people out there who love the game just as much as you do. Don't let this die.

Well, nobody really *wants* to do the genocide run *because* they've grown so attached to the characters.
That being said, doing the genocide route is recommended as it reveals a lot of story details and sheds a whole new light on the game.
Basically, go for it. You're missing out if you don't

@@DustyTurquoise well that's kind of the other end of the spectrum lol
@DustyTurquoise *sigh.* Apparently this still has to be said even three and a half years later.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with preferring a route, and there's nothing wrong with growing attached to fictional characters.
But literally saying "F those guys" to people who prefer a different route is immature and stupid. I don't prefer the Genocide route but I do like it for what it is, as it gives extra insight and I happen to like creepy stories, and the route is certainly creepy.
They are, at the end of the day, fictional characters. Please don't insult people over something like that. It's not like they're killing real people.

This literally made me cry, not one of those joke comments, like this seriously made me cry, Undertale made me into the person I am today, even with procrastination I eventually end up doing what I want too, or what I have too, it’s made me more determined, and more helpful towards others, and I absolutely love the game, sometimes I wish I could go back to those times where I was more socially awkward, when I had first actually played the game for myself, so I can feel the beautiful experience of my morality going higher, and my love for the game grow, as I saw all of my friends in the game, and said my final goodbye to them, and I’m happy from it, because I did the pacifist route last, which made me experience the easy way out on the first hand, not caring too much about the characters, but then after deciding to not be an A Hole in the game, I finally felt something meaningful residing in me, watching all of my favorite characters live their lives, all happy, and I remember, I did this, and that I can make a change, for the better.

this sounds like something fitting an emotional Kingdom hearts boss fight
Nowhere in the entire Kingdom Hearts series is a boss song anything like this. It's pretty much always an electronic-orchestral mix with organs or a single violin as the lead. The only exception that comes to mind is Roxas, and even that one builds up quite a bit. This song's too slow and classical to fit.
I think its kind of fitting for the first half because that is what the fight was trying to give us An emotional Fight but for the rest of it Its really slow it really need a kick It dose not mean I hate it I love it I'm just saying there's some things that could have been in there like electric guitar to give it the kick.
The best part of the Roxas fight was that the music was timed, by accident or design, so it usually swelled right as he used his ultimate attack.
Ian Comtois
Entirely by accident, since there's so many ways to fight him. Once you learn how it's quite easy to kill him in one huge combo without even letting him use his DM.

Already trying to make plans for it XD
+Connor Sullivan (TheEpicProject) Are you serious about the movie?
Darien Sokolov I can't be certain but we will have to see until the future once I've finished working with this developers
This is literally the first song I listened to in 2019, I hope that all the good emotions that it brings bless our lifes in this new year. Happy 2019 everybody!
And now we're almost in 2020. ❤️ Hope everyone will spend an awesome year 😄

Samantha Whitman Try listening to some of the stuff by M Bulteau!
it sounds good enough to be put in a movie trailer about undertale.
lol true
Nojatha
Sounds more like a movie credits thing
Oldshoes, OMG YES!!
it reminded me of something that would be played during like the credits of a really good movie haha

I first found out about undertale at the age of 11 and immediately I fell in love with this game, now I’m almost 20 and still i can't help but return to this game every once in a while. I managed to play undertale more than 10 times and I never went through genocide. This game tought me how to be kind, how to stay strong and determined. Thank you Toby Fox for changing my life, this game makes me feel complete
I’m 20 too we’re still here in 2024 !
Ever made a wish?
How long have you waited?
How long have you waited for it to come true?
No matter how long you wait, you won't achieve anything.
Every wish,
Every thought,
Must be worked for
There are things that make you smile, much alike to wishes.
They can make you cry, make you stop and consider you life,
But they aren't wishes, they are called
*HOPES AND DREAMS*

SaturnShadow I made a wish, I wanted to eat spaghetti for dinner, my wish has for filled.
Wow... I am keeping a copy of that, and it's staying right on my desktop until I finish my magnum opus. Thanks for the inspiration~

This game literally changed games for the better. Extraordinary, how a game change and impact so many lives. Happy 6th, Undertale!
This changed more than games of the future. This game has quite litteraly changed my life.
I listen to this around this time every beginning of fall since 2019, but it's rather sad in my POV because much would transpire in the next few months and 2 years, I just can't believe it's been 5 years since I found this arrangement
It has been 3 years but it still filled me with *DETERMINATION*
_same_
When a song that you've never heard before fills you with nostalgia you know it's something great..
It is true. DETERMINATION, beauty, and hope are what this song fills you with
come on people, don't ruin their experience if they haven't seen it yet, it's was truly a game that brought us to tears of sadness, rage and happiness, let this one soul who hasn't been corrupted by the undertale fandom experience it for themselves
Ya sorry guys, never played it:) but I will definitely check it out
I recommend you playing it you will truly understand the story and the undertale fandom :)
Hi Genji
Have cancer and not going to live much longer.
*BUT THIS SONG FILLS ME WITH DETERMINATION*
I just want you to know that you are not alone, and you will be remembered when you are gone.
you would get through it insha-allah, have hope... you will be better
♡
We all love you
@@skipperbuske2976 damn rude much!
This game taught me how to dream and be happy, I owe this game my life, because it very well could've been what saved me.
It's already 2024 and it still makes me emotional, it makes me want to cry. It's beautiful
I have never been the type to cry during movies or music or anything like that, never was overly emotional... but this song... this one song makes me tear up just a bit, every single time. it's like its the soundtrack to the happiest memories a person can have. I feel bad for people who do cry at movies an stuff, this song probly has them drowning in their own tears hahah! amazing cover! Thanks Rush! Keep it up!
Hyboirds I honestly hate myself for not being able to cry, I loved undertake so much and not being able to cry at this song is just painful
Imagination Is cool
Crying is determination in its liquid form! As long as you keep it in your heart, that’s what counts 🙂. Let determination keep you going no matter what!
This game and all it's comics helped me through my depression and still does
I've seen so many comics and they allowed me to feel joy, pain, anger, sadness and feel like I was there.
Shout out to Sans! He's such a cool guy and he goes through so much and I know what it feels like to be like that and I wish I could just give him a hug and say "I'm here for you, don't be afraid to talk to me. Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on."
Its a videogame character you loser
@@spoof72 undertale have a comic too dumbass

Spoofii just chill if u played undertale u should being attached to the character
@@spoof72 Yes, and that's awesome
A late response my part, but thanks :)
That's right. I'm still here. But hey, we will never and NEVER forget Undertale. It's not a simple game, it's an antidepression, a medicine for the world we live in.
Yes impossible to forget this incredible game
Memories that are barely even my own from a time when I wasn't even myself. And yet...
Here we are,
In the end,
I'm so sorry,
My dear friend.
Here we are
At the end
Don't let it end
Stay Determined!
Playing Undertale was a life changing experience for me. It's just a beautiful and meaningful game, that really meant something to me. I cried so much during the game and during this song.
Thank you.
Well i guess I'm not they only one who had all of that done to be from undertale as well. I regret not buying it when it was released now.
this game saved me from the darkness of depression
ah remember the day the undertale comunity wasnt toxic man was that a good 48 hours
Slime assassin I miss those days...😔
Those two days...
Ian Comtois And I just finished It for the first time. Man, good stuff.
Ido SHAHAR
there's no fixing the undertale community
Ido SHAHAR hmmmmmmm
me thinks not ( ・_・)ノ. Good song and game tho.
A few ears ago I was rabidly obsessed with this game in a very cringey way, me and my friend having made a how to never touch it again due to how much we have looking back on how bad we were (typical annoying as EFF 12 year old fangirls of this game you've seen em)
But I suddenly thought about it in class without any explanation, just humming this and I'm looking back through the ost and kinda remembering how amazing it was which is why so many get obsessed, having never experienced something this beautiful before, since then I have had two other games hit that close to my heart but the nostalgia for this one and the time I played it in....I think I'm ready to replay it.
If anyone actually read all of this the point I was trying to make is to not hate this game for its fandom, yeah it's a mess...but try and ignore it since if you ever loved it....it'll hold a place in your heart, just please bury your old accounts 😂😂😂
I remember finding so much cringey fannart and being like OKAY WE'RE HAVING A BONFIRE
*but just don't forget the actual game cuz of that...I made that mistake^^;;;*
random panda I agree. Me and my friends are still in the fandom, but it brought us all together, and we will always love it, no matter how cringy we’re being. I’m way to scared to hum these songs because of the fandom, but things are better noe
@Mr. Faith your game....? Dude you trolling?
I'm at the 12 year old fangirl point, and I
💔refuse💓
to play the game for myself until I've forgotten it. I never got to experience it properly, but I love it too much to just...stop.
So I have to forget it on its own time.
But I'll be waiting.
Reply and remind me in 10 years, ok?
*Insert nonexistent emoji-with-a-sad-smile*
i feel the same way but instead of looking back and cringing at what i did, i like to look back and laugh. it was such an incredible game and i had so much to offer because i loved it so much (and i still do), so looking back to a time where i was so happy to offer everything i had for this one small thing makes me happy! it makes me happy to see that i was so creative with what i did, and yeah, it was super bad, but i was enjoying it in the moment! usually thats what i like to think when i look back on cringe memories haha
