Tonys Tackle Nomads Mini Open Competition

A nomad mini open was fished, it was a game of 2 halves, the first half the weather was atrocious , but then almost exactly at half time the clouds cracked open the wind dropped and it turned into a lovely day.
These matches tend to get posted at short notice, but they are a great place to start out if you want to have a go at match fishing. so if you havent done so already subscribe to the Tonys Tackle face book group / 513249310082847

The fishing wasnt great however, and the match turned into a contest between team Plumstead and team Kirrage, I wont say who won, you will have to watch the video.
Please be patient it was very difficult to film in the weather so the audio and video quality wasnt great in the first few minutes but it gets much better
Its a longer video, but If I trimmed anymore out in the edit I dont think it would have told the whole story of the day.
so get a drink and some popcorn and sit down and enjoy the day in the warm.

First time I saw the back cast was in Liverpool in there winter league. A young guy named Derek Warren and as Tony say cast first fish later. But you got to be careful that the cast over takes the fishing

Yes , but the ability to cast distance is a great tool in your toolbox, but not essential

We fished the other side of the water works, was dead until low tide when we had dabs ,whiting,bass and my son had a 39cm sole

After blanking for the first half, he caught enough Whiting to get 3rd place in the comp, despite his wet feet.
