    ❤ Please watch "Types of model looks" video first ua-cam.com/video/4yDjfBjOP94/v-deo.html ❤
    Hello beautiful people! Here’s a spontaneous video where I’m sharing my thoughts on how to figure out if you have what it takes for modeling. And to be specific, we will be talking about model facial features and I will answer one of your questions: How do I know if I have model like face or not?
    And in this video I would like to explain why it’s always hard for me to answer this question and will also let you know how you can educate yourself to understand how everything works: why someone is a good fit for modeling and the other person isn’t.

    I agree with you and believe based off what I see in today’s society that you don’t have to be pretty to be a model. It better to tell them the truth and not waste their time. It really is a hard industry to work in.

    The fact you used an art analogy was interesting I wouldn’t have thought that modeling was an intuition on seeing if the person is suitable but I also tend to think the lines have been semi blurred . like I feel like influencers (while yes they maybe be “pretty” are now overtaking what would be a mainstream media modeling gig such as being in a huge clothing campaign

      Thank you so much dear!
      Well, when it comes to influencers, it's still a bit different from modeling...I've talked about it one of my other videos called "fashion models vs instagram models" ua-cam.com/video/WuEZPulp4No/v-deo.html
      The clients are looking for influencers audience first and only after that they pay attention to their look ( see if they're a good fit for the brand or not). At some pount that line between modeling and influencers can be blurred, but still I don't think that influencers could ever replace models completely :)

I mean there's of course a commercial modeling where you will mostly see beautiful faces (aka the beauty that can be understood by everyone), but the agencies are always looking for someone unique and special, eye - catching, because models with such looks can become future stars.

      It does not mean u are odd, features present in models are desirable and if u yourself did not have those model features you would have been "uglier" or less attractive than urself right now.

    When I was younger I considered the idea of being a model as I was fairly thin, and fairly tall. I never had a good face though haha. Given that I'm older I have learned it never would have worked because my waist was too wide. Even when I wore a size 0-2 my waist was too big. I think it's interesting information to know now, at least I know I didn't miss a chance of some kind by passing on the idea due to my own insecurities.

      I always say that there are some exceptions everywhere. Some models don't fit into all of the industry standards, but still are successful... Each case is different, I'm just trying to explain the most common scenarios of how everything works here...
      Anyways, I think everything happens for a reason. And if you've made this choice, maybe something more beautiful and exciting is ahead of you instead of modeling.
      Don't ever doubt your beauty and self love.

    Almost every model I've seen has wider-set eyes, a shorter face, protracted jaw with a nice jawline. Look at the faces and profiles of models in magazines/online. These things make someone more esthetically pleasing. Not sure why you didn't comment on this. Crooked teeth and some blemishes can be hidden, but the basics have to be there.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  2 роки тому

      Hello and thank you for sharing your thoughts :) Of course the features you’ve mentioned are great for modeling, but this is far from the whole list ( of thinking deeply about it ) and we look at the face in general to feel / see the right impression.
      I have several other videos explaining in details what modeling agencies love / what facial features they love + analysing types of looks that are attractive for certain modeling markets etc. We analyse the divisions of various modeling agencies, I show the examples from the magazines, models.com and etc. If you’re interested, it’s here:
      1. Most popular facial features in modeling | Types of model looks ua-cam.com/video/4yDjfBjOP94/v-deo.html
      2. Facial features modeling agencies love | 9 details of face / looks that will make you a model ua-cam.com/video/J7-XvPP1hR8/v-deo.html
      3. Types of looks Modeling Agencies love | Korean edition | What features will make you a model in Asia ua-cam.com/video/wyOBpmYw6H4/v-deo.html
      Of course people can learn everything if they will pay attention to details and will be educating themselves about the industry in general - this was my main advice in this video, including doing research on models.com, checking out show packages regularly to see the trends and etc.
      The purpose of this video was also to share how the person thinks / feels when he / she is scouting new faces, to see it from the perspective of the industry insider.
      And tbh there is really no formula at all. You don’t analyse people you just feel it immediately. So, this is basically a view from the model agents and scout perspective including myself.

      Hello Olivia, yes, it actually matters - you need to treat your acne scars if possible.
      But you can still apply to the modeling agencies. If they'll love your look, they will also help you with advices and everything. + everything really depends on the market. In local / small modeling markets the requirements aren't that strict. But when it comes to professional modeling, it's harder because the industry is extremely competitive.
      I recommend you to watch my other video "Modeling with Tattoos Braces Scars Piercings | Can you still become a model? Pros and cons" here ua-cam.com/video/anLQ6bTGPZ4/v-deo.html I think it will get you an idea of how everything works.

      Both birth marks ( by the way they are often called beauty marks ) and freckles both show the unique beauty of the model and make the look more captivating in my opinion :)
      Such details can also become a trade mark. The brigtest example is Cindy Crawford. Gigi Hadid also has many beauty marks on her face, I think she looks incredible! Erin Wasson, Kendra Spears and many others have them and are quite successful in modeling.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому

      Hello, yes, it's still possible to start a modeling career in the middle 20s (and older of course), but it will be more difficult and will be a bit different from how it would have worked for very young girls.
      The hard truth is that the agencies are mostly looking for either very young models or mature models and getting into modeling without the portfolio in your 20s or 30s is hard... But it is not impossible. With the certain efforts you can become really succefful and earn good money.
      But usually in such cases you'll have to start with freelance work (mostly in local fashion markets), building your portfolio and then (only if it's benefitial for you of course) find a boutique modeling agency / an agent.
      In my latest video about petite modeling I've explained how you can start modeling if you don't fit into some of the industry standards (I mostly talk about petite models, but actually it can be applied to everyone - when it comes to age or anything else), so feel free to check out this video as well ua-cam.com/video/ySKICZ1vIyg/v-deo.html
      And here's a video about the types of jobs for petite models (again, it's not only about petite modeling, but about every case that isn't so typical) ua-cam.com/video/wfSXFtoP8wc/v-deo.html I think it may be helful for your friend.
      Other than that, I just suggest her to take digitals (I've explained everything about it in this video ua-cam.com/video/rlv0r96mfkY/v-deo.html ) and then keep on going forward and one way or another it is possible to work at any age. Your friend just needs to find her market, her "niche", her clients...
      I hope it'll help.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому +1

      OMG, you're the sweetest person, thank you so much!💜
      If you have a body like Bella, then you must be just flawless! At the same time each person's case is different, so you can't tell for sure if you need to change smth about your measurements or not based on "someone said smth about Bella's body"... Please don't be so focused on something you've heard in the past. And as far as I know Bella's body been changing quite a lot... She's easily gaining / losing weight back and forth, so she can't be a good example in this case, although I really really love her as a model.
      I recommend you to take your digitals (I've explained how to do it here ua-cam.com/video/rlv0r96mfkY/v-deo.html ) and contact modeling agencies. You'll never know if it's really for you or not, if you won't try. And if you have the doubts - again, just try it and if you'll feel it's not what you really want, you can always quit or do modeling as a hobby.
      Wishing you best of luck whatever you'll decide... :)

    It sounds hard but in a nutshell you have a beautifull face then you can be a model and no in the other case. And body doesn't matter cause the industry is "inclusive" for all body types so you don't have to work that hard 4 it. Period.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому +1

      No, actually it's not that easy.
      As I've mentioned in this video models don't have to be exactly beautiful ( in the way most people see the beauty, being pretty etc ), it's more important being "eye catchy", interesting... rather than "perfectly beautiful". And beauty is a very subjective term as well...
      Body ( measurements, height etc ) does matter as well. If you fit into the industry standards ( I've explained them in this video ua-cam.com/video/uYD5QD-iXeY/v-deo.html ). Yes, the industry is changing, but these changes are slow abd almost not noticeable in some parts of the world.
      So, if talking about professional career, becoming a top model - you need to both fit into the industry standards and have a face that will be good for modeling too.
      If you would like to work in local fashion markets or, for example, in US only, then you can have slightly bigger / different measurements or even try plus size modeling, find your own niche... It is possible these days, but your path towards stable and successful work will be longer comparing to "regular" models who fit into the industry standards.
      I hope you've got the idea. It's quite hard to explain, but now we both have the strict requirements in the industry and more opportunities. It is good, but not equal I would say...

      Thank you for the kind words Luna 🌸🙏 And I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. How bad is it? I know psoriasis is treatable but some cases are severe, I get it. Anyways, if you're really interested in modeling, please don't give up. Try contacting some other agencies or maybe working freelance. The industry is slowly changing and more and more brands try to embrace natural beauty ( which also celebrates our imperfections as special and beautiful in its own way ) opening more opportunities.
      Anyways, don't be sad, sending you hugs and positive vibes 🌸🤗💕
      Modeling isn't everything believe me, there are so many amazing things to try ~

    So is it too late for guys to join an agency between the ages of 20-30?

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому +4

      No, it's not too late. Male models usually start their career later than girls and work longer ( most of the times ).
      So, go for it and wishing you best of luck.

    Helloo tnks for your video 💕 ppl often ask me if I’m a model but idk if I fit in and I believe that I’m too curvy😅 I would really appreciate your personal opinion height 5’6 (167cm) weight 123 (56kg) 30- 23-35(77-60-90cm) I know how to dress my self but don’t think that I look like a model 😂

      Hello Ynra, thank you so much for watching my videos 💚
      I'm sure you look absolutely gorgeous! Yes, it seems like you have quite a curvy body, but your measurements are great. The only problem is the height, you're not that tall for "regular" modeling. I have a video explaining everything about modeling industry standards here ua-cam.com/video/uYD5QD-iXeY/v-deo.html
      So, if you'll decide to try working as a model, I recommend you freelance first or finding a boutique modeling agency.
      And here's also a playlist about petite modeling ( everything you may need to know) ua-cam.com/play/PL2n0G6Jp9TLYUC9SaQJ4X7o6H3xiemFLB.html

    What types of guys can become models?

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому

      It works the same as with girls. I’ve explained everything about types of looks in modelling in this video ua-cam.com/video/4yDjfBjOP94/v-deo.html
      You need to fit into the industry standards + have the look. It can be commercial look, baby - face, strange beauty, classic + combinations of these looks.

    Umm can a tan skin girl get job as model in Asia

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому

      Yes, but you need to look exceptional. Unfortunately Asian markets aren't that open to diversity yet if talking about modeling contracts.
      Another situation would be if you'd already had a visa and were living there - it makes things easier and gives more opportunities. But in any other cases modeling agencies aren't that ready to invite dark skinned models to their markets yet.

    Educating yourself by swallowing as much of the pre-existing not that clear standards to your subconscious instead of clearly stating them, doesn't that just keep the standards going without taking a moment to analyse ?
    As the industry claims to become more diverse, if you just keep thinking there should be a "model like face" based on subtle "intuitions" that really aren't, doesn't that just keep the same standards ? I am just thinking out loud but
