    My brother has many of the traits you just mentioned, a monochromatic look (pale skin and light hair), defined cheekbones, big bright eyes, gap tooth, will eventually be very tall and has a pink coloured patch on his face.
    But he has mild cerebral palsy and is autistic, so he isn't very good at posing, because he doesn't know how to smile.
    He photographs very well accidentally, especially because of his dead panned look 🤔
    Is there any room in the industry for people like this? My mother insists that he would make a great and unique model.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому +9

      Hello and thank you for sharing your brother’s story. Seems like he looks wonderful. Is he tall as well? Since the industry has been changing recently and is more open to diversity now, there are more chances for everyone there.
      But I must say that it’s hard to work in fashion and this business is quite cruel.
      I’ve seen several autistic models on the runway some time ago and it was mostly like an event or smth like that to support the community and diversity in the industry. Fashion model Natalia Vodyanova has an autistic sister as far as I remember and she always supports these kind of collaborations.
      I would suggest you to try if your brother feels comfortable about it, but it probably won’t be a regular jobs, just more like a hobby… Because you need to prioritise his health… Just think what’s best for him and make a decision based on it, see how he reacts etc.
      You can contact several agencies ( look for the ones with the diversity on their board ) and ask for the feedback.
      Wishing you best of luck! ☺️

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Rafia, well if the model scout has approached you on the street, it means that he / she saw something in you. And when it comes to our looks we tend to criticize ourselves more than others. To be honest everything is important: if you don't fit into the industry standards ( measurements, height etc) even if you have a perfect face ( this is also really difficult topic since beautiful face and face that is good for the industry may no be the same), but you don't fit in for some other reason, most likely it won't work and vice versa.
      So, if you're interested or curious about modeling, then try it. You can simply apply to the agencies and ask for their feedback, then see (if you're unsure about the scout etc). It's all up to you :) Modeling isn't some kind of a dream job (it's my personal opinion), it's definitely not for everyone, but many people enjoy it.
      Anyways, wishing you best of luck! 💜

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  3 роки тому +3

      Thank you so much Ashley! Modeling isn't a lifetime career for most of the people and unless you become top model, you just work until you turn 25-26, some work longer though, some quit even earlier...
      That's why the faces in this industry keep on changing so quickly.

      Hello, I'm happy that you enjoyed watching my videos, thank you! :)
      About your questions. Models usually remove the hair in bikini - zone, legs, armpits. Everything else is totally personal - the people I know just keep everything natural and if someone wants to remove their body hair, it's OK.
      I personally think that having body hair is absolutely normal and natural, there's nothing wrong with that.

      But I recommend you to take digitals / polaroids and having a smiley photo there is a must, so your clients would understand that you have braces and you will avoid the uncomfortable situation like if they'd discover it in the middle of the shoot and would be unhappy. In this case it would look unprofessional and bad for you in general.

I do have a symmetrical face and I this unique feature of my nose (theres a line in the middle of the tip it looks a little bit like a cats nose) and my eyes are pretty much hooded I havent found many girls that have eyes like me. If I wear concealer or foundation they look umm like those asian eyes? Idk how to describe them well. I'm thinking to apply to some in the uk but I'm unsure if they will be accepting of my race? (I'm south asian pakistani/indian) due to me being south asian as well I have very dark circles and I'm not sure to put concealer on to cover them up in my portfolio? I think that's my biggest downside that and I'm hairy and have a little bit of fat on my arms and I'm 5'4ft 5'5ft
