A very warm welcome to you and your beautiful family..love from Edinburgh...
Welcome to Bonny Scotland 🏴♥️♥️♥️
Welcome to Scotland!
Scotland has Costco, incase you need some good old American stuff.
Yeah I specifically bought a Costco membership before we moved so we’d have access here! I’ve only used it once so far but it’s nice to have
Really!!! That’s great!!
@@peterkonradort Could you provide some information on the process of moving from the US to Scotland? What are the steps Americans must follow for a successful (& legal) relocation to Scotland?
A warm welcome to Scotland may your life here be happy and fulfilled 🏴🤝🇺🇸
welcome to scotland... from 6:03 onwards your walking past my parents house; i live not far away, hit me up if you need anything ;)
You picked a beautiful country with amazing people. Good luck!!
Cheers from Canada!!
This is so cool. I'm an American planning on moving to Scotland next year.
It would be really helpful if you made a video detailing the whole process of your move. Like the visas, transferring your information, the costs etc.
Thanks and good luck with your new life there
Same here! But more of a 3 year timeline ♡ More info!
There is good information on line about the different tiered visas. I just downloaded a 55 page reference about it. I can tell you other countries have rules!! You can also type in real estate info and get a feel for the areas your considering and lots of nice videos that take you many places, including foods specific to Scotland...everything looked good!
Me too Carolina....
i am scottish decent and i also want to return to my ancestral homeland. mcElrath here . i would like to know how to buy there.
Omg I want to live in Scotland so bad
Good luck understanding your children when they start speaking Scottish, haha. I love Scotland.
Can we get an update on how everything’s going? I hope all 6 of you have settled in nicely!
I'm particularly interested in what you had to do to bring the cats. Looking forward to the next video :)
GLASGOW: warm, FRIENDLY, working class. (Wait until "summer" comes along, then it's daylight until 10.30-11pm. Then it gets dark until the sun comes up at 3.30am!) "There are two seasons in Scotland: winter and June." (Billy Connolly.)
😂 😂 @ the 2 seasons part! I'm actually moving there in Dec/Jan with my 3 kids. We've lived in Cape Town, South Africa before. I'd say the weather is pretty much the same. Does it snow?
@@GeeThamae the climate in winter is mostly cool & damp, but it can get very cold. For some reason, it's not usually until January, February that there's snow. But as Glasgow's Billy Connolly said: "There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing."
A belated welcome to Scotland for both you and your beautiful family.
I hope and pray that the settling period has been as stress free as possible and that you are all now settled in.
🙏🏼❤️🏴❤️🙏🏼
Scotland is a beautful country. I persoanlly embrace Scotland more than England. It is more spacious for kids to grow up and people are friendier. Wish you all the best and enjoy your life in Scotland
Ah Seamill Hydro Hotel. Loved many weekend breaks there. 💖👍🏴
Welcome from Ayrshire x🏴
We moved our family from southern CA to Berlin in summer of 2015 with two teenagers and two large dogs - flying the dogs was definitely the most stressful aspect but we survived - we had to move back in summer of 2017 due to other family circumstances but we really loved our time in Germany and got to travel - absolutely adore Edinburgh! Best of luck to you and your family!
Of course you love your beautiful children , but bless you for the love and loyalty to your pets !
Congrats on your move. I, too plan moving to Scotland from California, hopefully by the end of 2021. By the way, I'm also a twin, identical - 6 minutes apart. 😎
Thank you! Good luck with the move!!!
Ron I'll swap you Stirling for California any day
You will be welcomed into our Bonny Scotland 🏴-remember it gets chilly 🥶 in winter 🤣🤣🤣🏴🏴🏴
Good luck 😀
This is dope. Would like to hear more on the process of moving to Scotland 👌
I'm an American living in San Diego, California trying desperately to find a way to legally move to Scotland, specifically Edinburgh. The more research I do, the more I'm finding it to be very difficult, if not nearly impossible,...at least legally. I was hoping you'd have explained what you did to make it happen in your video. But, unfortunately, that information was missing. Any recommendations/advice/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. Congrats on the move! 👍
@Norrin J. Powell if you can afford to study, take out student loans, or can get a job offer willing to sponsor a Visa, you'll be fine. Visitors can stay with only passports for 6 months. It's all on their site.
Your 'bairns' (no longer 'kids !) are absolutely gorgeous - welcome to Scotland !
The twins certainly look as if they were happy enough on board your flight, which is great.
Hopefully it's like a real big adventure for them.
But also I hope that you all will be real happy and healthy in Scotland.
Best of luck to you all .
Welcome to Scotland! Love the shots of Portencross. I used to live in Largs, just up the coast a little. I originally lived in California but now I’m in a small town north of Glasgow.
Hope things are going well for you and your family.
I used to live in Largs too, 2000 to 2002. Loved it. Commuting to Greenock in the bus along the coast every day is something I still miss.
Wait till summer comes best day o the year best o luck to you and your family 🥃🏴
Me and my family are seriously thinking about a move to Scotland but I am 39 with a few health issues. It's a beautiful country and very safe place to live. I really wouldn't even know where to start looking for work or a place to live. Maybe me and my wife will visit in the future and decide if it's the right thing for us.
Congratulations welcome to bonnie Scotland. I hope that yous all have a very happy time with your new life here lolx 😀❤😀
So freakin impressive that you handled that move! Great job with the edits.
New subscriber! Love y’all’s family and so excited for y’all to experience living in Scotland! From one parent to the next bless y’all for getting through that trip! Lol. Traveling with two little ones is no joke! Looking forward to following along for your journey!
That coastline looks magical.
Yes we are incredibly lucky to be able to live in such a beautiful place
Me and my wife are trying to move elsewhere over seas so it's good to see the process
You're more than welcome, enjoy your life here.
Love the music in the video ! Great job and congratulations on your move
Weclome and good luck to you and your family hope you enjoy being here 🍻
A very warm welcome to the biggest wee country in the world!
We are about to do this exact same journey in 3 weeks. Thank you for this video.
You were so brave !
I hope to get this gift called braveness !
I wish I can move to Scotland. It looks beautiful. I wonder what your cats thought
Welcome my friends… greetings from Lanark 🏴❤️
Great move guys.... Beautiful country and great for the kids....Wish you a great journey and new beginning...👍 Looking to a early retirement late this year and looking to move to Europe.
Kudos to your energy!!
The trip may have been difficult for you, but your kids are thriving. And completely adorable! I wish you the best in your new adventure. At some point, could we hear about the logistics of the whole thing - visas, cost, bringing pets with you...?
lovely video! welcome to Scotland, hope you enjoy it
Man, I can't say I don't understand because I do. Congrats on the Move! I've been contemplating something like this. I was thinking Northern Ireland or Scotland. Id have to wait until the kids get grown. These days this sounds like it would be amazing thing to do.
Welcome to our lovemyy country
Oh my goodness!! Your twins are just precious!! What cute smiles and personalities they have. Really enjoyed your video, a new subscriber and I too am wanting to move to Scotland. It is a beautiful country. Going to keep watching what you post as I may have some questions.
Sandy from California
Cosmo, Timmy, Starla, Genevieve, and Sarah (my cats)
Have u also considered moving to Somalia? I heard they have some amazing pirates there
I'd love to know how you and your family are doing in your new home. I plan on coming to Scotland as soon as I can and I'd also be leaving from Tulsa, so I look forward to a video with much more details about what all of that entailed. Hope you and your family are healthy and happy!
My favourite place especially Portencross. Xxxx
Omg I needed this encouragement. Fam of 6 with three pets desperately wanting out of the USA. Scotland is our first choice! Any help on easiest routes to securing work and visas. Hellllp!
So sweet smile you have! I mean baby's mom.Pray to divine to protect u all!! And babies are beautiful also. But didn't see ur cat. Stay well and safe pls.
Great video!!!!
So many questions! How is it socializing with the Scots? Acclimating in the new climate? The legality of things..etc..?
All the best for the future
Looks beautiful and historical but bloody cold!😜👍
This is a great coast walk :)
Welcome to Scotland. Hey Portencross Castle ! I got married there.
ENJOY!
Your babies r so cute !!
My favourite place right along to Portencross. X
Welcome to Scotland. Half of Scotland would like to move to the US! Good luck in the cold winter months. If you make it through till spring well done. Looking forward to more vids...
I would like to move from Canada… -20 to -40 winters here , I think I’ll be fine 😆
@John Donnie why would half of Scotland like to move to the US?
@@JoannaWKu we have been brought up with US TV shows and the American lifestyle. Lots of us have visited New York and Florida fir holidays. We love the US. The English also cleared out the Scottish highlands and most of these people went to USA & Canada. So your country is full of our names and city names. Oh and its warmer there usually.
So true
Thanks for the video. Any chance you could provide details, descriptions, narratives about how you got your cats over? Maybe make a video? I guess I am interested in the research you did. It is important for me to know not just things like costs, but also what might the experience have been like for the cats.
It used to be the English retiring to Scotland ……..they have been doing that for “ Donkeys’ Years “
Surprised to hear there is still room to cater for all the Americans that have the same idea!
Welcome to Scotland from fife
Welcome!
You chose a real good airline to cross the Atlantic. KLM are my favourite airline, very friendly staff, clean and spacious aircraft and a very easy to use Amsterdam Schiphol airport.
You made a real good choice in KLM.
Seamill my favourite beach so welcome enjoy
PS - why would anyone put thumbs down - your filming does justice to our lovely landscape ♥️
Welcome my friend
I was hoping for some more technical information: how did you get your visas/residency? Did you arrange your housing ahead of the trip, or have you been looking for a house/apartment since you got there? Etc. I will check your other videos to see if you have any more insights.
I hope you weren’t disappointed
Well done
Hi Peter, I loved your video! Thank you for sharing your immigration process with us. I'm moving back to Scotland in the New Year. I'm based in Colorado and was advised I need to use a pet relocator that I can't bring my cat in the cabin; is that why you flew KLM?
Thank you for any advice you can impart. :)
Remember the word jobby means excellent in Scotland so next time you’re at a resteraunt tell them the food was really jobby. They’ll really appreciate you using the local dialect. Jobby on brother.
Welcome to BONNIE SCOTLAND 🏴🏴
That street your on at the end! I'm the postie there lol
Fantastic 👍👍👍…but what a long journey with kids, cats and all of that luggage 😂😂 😂 🏴
Nice video dear.
Thank you!!! We’re so glad to finally be here!
I look forward to your details video! My husband and I are looking to move out of the US and I want to move to Scotland! We have 3 cats to bring also and a teenage son who doesn't want to move lol.
4.38 South Beach Promenade about 2 miles from where i stay
I’m curious for an update too!
Any updates?
Welcome aboard Peter lad! How are ye's Gettin on noo?
Keep going with your videos. Or do a podcast this was good
Welcome to our lovely country. I live nearby and love it here. I moved here 5 years ago. What a great place for you children to grow up.
Move videos please. I would like to know why you chose Scotland and what town or area you settled in ? An update please.
Loads of Americans will want to see this, I'm English
Gaun yersel' mucker! Huv a rer time!
🥰
Curious as to how you could leave the US and I cannot, that is, cannot yet fly home to Scotland?
Excellent question Sheila! I was thinking the same thing! I can't leave the US to fly home either?
So you're in America and not yet understand that a big pinch of salt is needed.
You'll know when the Yee haas talk crap...their lips move.
You two green card jenny's ?
Stay where you are....it's great here without the American tourists.... McDonald's queues in London way down
@@rodney1068 i think you might have misunderstood them... they want to go HOME. To... Scotland. Not London..... Scotland. Their home.
You should be able to go back ? I have flown back twice 2020 and 2021. I have a UK passport and a USA green card, maybe that’s why?
I'm also considering moving my fam to Scotland!
Don't. If Krankie gets her way , Scotland will be totally skint, with no money or jobs
@@robertwillis4061 could you please explain your comments give us some you know FACTS not just you opinion ?
@@johnmcphee6098 If Krankie (Nicola TEFLON Sturgeon) get to make Scotland Independent of the UK. There will be a huge loss of jobs. In fact there already is due to C19. She thinks that the EU will let Scotland back in, just as if we never left. Very Very Wrong. Spain has said no already. All our major industries have vanished or moved to China.. Coal mines are gone, Steel mills are gone, oil is almost stopped, fishing is limited, shipyards are limited, claims of endless money from renewables are false - jobs are 3 - 5 years at most then what? But the money will still go to Government, to vanish in some money pit ( Scottish parliament building ).
@@robertwillis4061 What drugs are you overdosing on? I really need that sh*t

MORE VIDEOS REALLY ENJOYED. WITS HE SCRIPT LADZZ
I just started watching this, as an American looking to relocate to Scotland, and your first "short leg from Tulsa to Atlanta" was rough --- that just made me chuckle .. bless your hearts. So far to go. Those babies' smiling faces had to make it so much easier. And bless you for taking the extra leg to Amsterdam for the kitties' sake. The world needs more people like you two.
I only watched one previous video of yours and then saw the thumbnail for this one. The last clip where your partner is walking down the street with the twins is the street I grew up on.
I wonder if you still live there since it’s about 50 mins or so from Seamill in the last clip.
Is it the clip where they were walking down the street in Greenock? When we moved here we had to do the 2 week quarantine because of Covid; we got an airbnb in greenock for the quarantine and until we found the house that we moved into in Ayrshire!
Ayrshire sun 🌞 sea 🌊 and ice cream 🍦 mmm 😋 neighbours ☺️
One thing to remember about Scotland - there’s no such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing…….
Scotland is a truly beautiful country - if I could no longer live in Wales, Scotland is where I’d move to……
I was hoping to hear about the legal preparations. What paperwork? Residency permits and all that.
I moved from the US to Cumbria England with twins about a 6 months before you
Amazing country with ever more amazing people! Ah you being sexy........... Well ahhhh you are well ahhhhh hopefully well loved by your family! LOL, great video!! Would love to live there! All the best
So what happened? Do update!
I ask because I live in Florida and I keep playing with the idea of moving to Scotland,I use a wheelchair as I broke my ankle in 4 places previously.I also have a cat ,a couple dogs
