    Using natural oils during scalp massages really works in hair fall control. Oils such as coconut, onion, and rosemary can be especially good. I mix a few drops of rosemary oil with my liitlexttra cooconinon shampoo with hair oil, and this really helped in seeing good hair growth.

      I was at a Norwood 2. My hair didn’t grow back but it has slowed down the hair loss. I would say now I’m a Norwood 3 but my crown isn’t that thin, meaning I don’t have a bald spot. I had a hair transplant for my temples and front at 40. Baldness is on both sides of my family and my brother and dad are completely besides the back. I started getting a receding hairline at 17.

    Started Finasteride at the age of 21 when I was experiencing severe hair loss. Hair loss stabilised due to this. Now age 34. 13 years so far. Still have a head full of hair. Dimitar Martinovski, unlikely but not impossible. Minoxidil worked wonders for me. I think the biggest factor as far as the effectiveness of any preventative treatment is how soon you catch it.
      I had no idea I was even going bald until a girl brough it up to me. I got on minoxidil and the rest is history. I recently started topical finastride because I don’t know how long minoxidil alone will hold it off. From what I understand, minoxidil only stimulates the hair follicle and finastride blocks the conversion of dht. I figured attacking it from 2 angles will be more effective longer.

      Dimitar Martinovski, I recently watched a video on UA-cam about a physician referring to a study that showed the if you implant hairs from the donor zone to the thinning or bald areas they won’t fall out. More interestingly he stated that the study showed that if you transplant hairs from the the thinning areas of the head into the donor zone, the the hairs would still fall despite that.

      for that we need to reduce the finasteride dose gradually 1 mg , 0.75mg, 0.5mg ,0.25 mg like that. all are same interval of time.
      i believe that after completely stopping, the finasteride people must not do any sexual activity about 3 months to adapt the hair follicles, body normal testosterones to DHT conversions.
      if any one doing sexual activity after stopping the medication, there is sudden increase of testosterones levels up to 30 percentage. which cause massive damage to hair.

    I've been using minoxidil for 6 months and so far, so good. I recently added finasteride. My doctor prescribed 1mg per day. So far, no side effects. I got a second opinion on the dose from another doctor and was told that anything less than 5mg is not an effective dose for a woman. Both doctors are board certified dermatologists who specialize in hair loss. If 1mg per day truly is insufficient for a woman, I may be wasting valuable time. Can you please make a video on finasteride and cancer - I have read that Finasteride does not increase your risk of getting prostate cancer. However, if you take finasteride and later get prostate cancer then you're more likely to have a fast growing tumour.

  • @silvyr7760

    1. What should you do if Finasteride is not working?
    For context: I've been on finasteride for around 8 months and have lost significant amount of hair however, it probably slowed down the rate of loss a little bit.
    You stated that it takes 6 months to see results and stability. In my case, there is no regrowth of hair and no stability.
    Furthermore, both sides of my family only have some thinning hair which is to be expected for men who are 50+ but no one is bald or have excessive thinning.
    I have diffuse thinning on the top and sides of my head but not the back. The hairline is nw1. I'm 21 and have been losing hair for around 1.5 - 2 years
    2. So, what other causes of hairloss could it be if it isn't genetic (for someone in my case) and what should I do about it?
    Thank you very much

    I have a question that came to my mind and I don´t find information anywhere. If you have a hair that is getting weak but didn´ get to the point of no return yet, what happens if you pull it out? Does that hair follicle grow back again? If so, would it grow stronger (imagine you are stimulating hair growth), the same, weaker ..? or it would die.
    Please, if you know the answer comment here. And maybe if you also wonder this give a like to this comment so the doctors get to see it. Thank you in advance

    • @andezurulleta1
      @andezurulleta1 4 роки тому +1

      @@tagada7 Thank you for answering. I was thinking a little bit more about it and maybe my thought process was wrong from the beginning. My idea was that if you pull out a hair you would stimulate the generation of a new one, at least that's what happens in the body. You just don't lose your body hair by removing it assuming that your hair is not already dead. Just delay the creation of a new one. That's why I thought, if you remove a weak but still alive hair you stimulate the creation of a new one and maybe a better one? (Assuming you are in treatment).
      Basically forcing the shedding.
      I thought that you could save a dying hair before it reaches the point where there's nothing left to save. I might be wrong and I would like to know the scientific explanation in this case.

      The cases of gynecomastia came from a desbalance in the hormone structure. Without the normal conversion of test to dht, the amount of test increases, wich is converted to estrogen and may cause increasement in fat and boobies. This is more likely to help in fat dudes, as the adipocit starts to produce feminine hormoneses as it gets multiplied.

    Is it possible that post-finasteride syndrome is confused with the long time the drug remains on the skin? It is said that a simple dose of 1mg can remain on the skin for at least 30 days, so daily intake would lead to an over-accumulation in the body. In addition, it takes 3-6 months for the body to rid itself of the drug.

    Hi dr.
    My question is if finasteride decrease libido, why don’t switch to use natural ingredientslike saw palmetto, biotin and other DHT blocker ingredients?

    • @anish0294
      @anish0294 2 роки тому

      Saw Palmetto has the same adverse effect on libido biotin can't help with hormonal hairloss and once you block dht in anyway. It has a side effect like ED or lower libido and it doesn't happen in all cases.

      Because natural ingredients don't address the underlying cause of hairloss, and other DHT blockers aren't FDA approved.

      Natural remedies like saw palmetto and rosemary oil that decrease DHT do not decrease it at a severe enough level to stop male pattern balding

      I was using natural remedies for long time and didn’t work. Just helped with dry scalp. I still use some of the oils but had to go on the prescription. Low vitamin D can make it worse so just make sure that’s good but I get blood tests all the time and even with good vitamin D levels my hair was still falling out. Runs in family

    Is it normal to experience increased hairloss in first week? I know it is quite increased just in first week cause I always kept record. I am 21. also i had a short hair cut prior to medication. I am on 0.25mg Each day.
