Potentially a foot pod review!?…I’m personally in the market for one to help accurately track treadmill runs. I recently did a treadmill run with my watch and compared it with the data from the tready and the watch was out by +1km 😳
Great review! Looks like a very accurate watch. I myself just use an Apple Watch since I’m not too concerned about battery life (it can last up to 5 hours of workout). Would you ever consider doing a review of an Apple Watch in the future? I know it’s not a popular watch among pro athletes but I’ve been quite satisfied about it due to its synergy with my iPhone and AirPods. GPS and HR tracking has also been good so far.
@@BenIsRunning That reply without further explanations doesn‘t match the great usual quality of your content. The Apple watch is often discounted and thus cheaper than many sport watches. As it uses the smartphone GPS, it is way better in accuracy than most sport watches (at least until 2022 brought multiband GPS to some of them). Combined with Workoutdoors, the apple watch offers loads of features incl. map navigation most sport watches don‘t offer. I had a Garmin and the menus were NOT self explaning for my taste (instead the AW where you can use the smart phone you are used to for settings). I am not an Apple fanboy, and if you are not an Apple hater, these are points that should be considered as arguments for your followers before just saying no. That doesn’t mean it’s perfect - it is not. But it is definitely a great option. That’s just a comment on a specific topic from a big fan of your channel!
Really interesting video! I'm currently looking for a new running watch as the apple watch I have has so many limitations. Appreciate the honest review and will for sure add this to the list of possibilities that I may end up buying!
I've been using a TomTom (GPS Running watch) for many years, and have been totally happy with it - but with TomTom removing all of their support for this watch at the end of September (2023), I decided it was time for a new one. Without doing much research, I bought a Pacer Pro last month, and boy, what a mistake that was! I'm now looking for a Garmin that will hopefully work with my Polar H7 chest transmitter - as I'm not a fan of wrist-based HR
I have the garmin 735xt. Love the watch, but feel like it has too many buttons. Sometimes I pause my runs when I’m just trying to check my pace when it’s dark. I like the sleekness of the polar watch though. Can I ask something? The polar does multi sport, correct?
Not being able to make changes on the watch itself alone would make it a no from me. On the point of the Strava workout not being correct, could it perhaps be that auto-lap was on and overrides the workout itself?
@@BenIsRunning That’s a shame. Maybe it’s something to do with the way the file gets uploaded. Could be something worth mentioning to Polar themselves to check
I thought this video was going to be about your 1500m and 3000m races :( By the way do you know or follow The Fogdog on youtube? It's this young English middle distance track runner called Adam Fogg (he moved to Australian when he was a kid) who is based in the US and runs for his university at National Collegiate Athletic Association races . His content is really good and fun to watch. He's actually in the UK at the moment, his dad is English. Very cool dude and quick as a flash.
If this is your "daily watc"h, what watch do you use for intervals? If that is from another brand (Garmin for example)? And if so, how do you get all your data in one platform. It is rather difficult to sync data between different platforms from different brands!?
After a year of use the sync problems makes the watch unusable/the whole polar ecosystem pointless. You can’t reinstall that app or unpair/pair the phone and watch every single time you want to do a workout. (Yes firmware up to date, all the tricks in the book applied) it’s shocking Makes me miss my old Chinese band number something
£259 RRP* what running related reviews would you like to see next on the channel?
I‘d LOVE to see a review of the all new zoom fly 5 (as soon as it’s out obviously). Looks very interesting !
A sub 15 ...5k nah mate all your content is gold I'd love to see a top 5 running hats

Thank you Caroline
Whey love to see it as always Ben 👏
Thanks Noel 🙌🏻
Great review, thinking of getting this watch. Polar Ignite’s on it’s way out after 2.5 years - need a watch designed for running.

Why is the pacer pro a mistake?
I've got the polar pacer cheaper version and you can set up AVE lap pace, you must be able to set it on the pro too
You can set it up but it doesn’t work in time based intervals
hi Ben, i hope you be great
which one do you think is totally better?
coros pace 3 or pacer pro
I'm interested in treadmill accuracy of polar pacer. I need to know how many meters it's adding extra or short.

It does yes!
Which watch is your favourite so far? Because I’m looking for a new, relatively affordable one.
It’s between this one and the Coros pace 2 at the moment
Not being able to make changes on the watch itself alone would make it a no from me. On the point of the Strava workout not being correct, could it perhaps be that auto-lap was on and overrides the workout itself?
Even with auto Lap off during a session it still appears as laps on strava?

@@ChrisColwillYT yeah it’s possibly just the way I’m setting it up but still shouldn’t be that difficult really :)
Good video my guy.
Thanks grant
Thank you ! Would you prefer the pacer pro or the forerunner 255?
I’ve not tried the 255 yet but hopefully getting it in for review soon

That will be out soon! And of course, love a bit of FOGDOG EXCLUSIVE
@@BenIsRunning Cheers buddy can't wait for it.
How accurate is the colour of this watch on video? Looks kind of pale compared to pictures on Polar page.
To my eye it’s pretty accurate

How fast does this watch charge? Did you have a chance to try it
Seconds! Cause that's what you see on a watch had to wait for a comment to claim this one 😜
Ahhh I see what you did there! 🤙🏼
Does it display real time pace or only average 1k pace? I could not find info anywhere…
What is the best watch for interval’s (laps paces) ?
whic watch has time interval sessions lap pace function ?

You mean £250
Yes my apologies
That workout adjustment into auto-lap thing is a deal breaker for me. Could not handle that!
