Just bought the Simplex Ultra for my grandson. It’s nice and light. I’ve just taken it around my yard but it looks like it will be a great detector for him to learn on
Glad to see you working the fields for myself and my boy we work the beaches and old parks and old fields with great results in all places with a mixture of gold ring s and Native American silver to civil war button s
Those would be good if the iron targets were valuable. I would not want so spent too much time digging deep iron junk. The soil in my area has high levels of iron oxide. The magnetic locator may not work in hot soil.
Big Nokta fan here, i don't get what's the point of The Simplex Ultra, i have the original Simplex +, and Legend just to name a couple ot them. And that Simplex on steroids don't seem or sound much different from my old Simplex
The Ultra does sound very similar to the Plus. The Ultra is much more stable than the Plus in our soils and in high EMI. Curt is starting in 4 tone. He will try 99 and pitch tones later. The Ultra is much more tunable than the Plus. I was not a big fan of the new generation Simplex until Curt got one. I will probably buy an Ultra when I can purchase a small coil for it. The big coil would be completely useless to me.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak do you think the ultra competes with the legend punch for punch. I had thought about buying the xterra pro as a backup machine but now I’m thinking the ultra might be the ticket
Glad to see the Simplex Ultra on your YT channel. Is it yours or your buddies? I know a lot of people will be buying one & they are gonna want your thoughts about it.
That Ultra is Curt's. I will buy an Ultra when the small coil packages are released. The Ultra is very stable under power lines in curb strip and in parks too.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak so it’s definitely a upgrade from the original Simplex? If it’s a quit noticeable upgrade & lighter weight then I’ll be selling my old Simplex & buy the new Ultra as a backup to my Legend. Plus I like to use different detectors & go over the same area just to see if one is performing better then the other in that soil. Like you said I will wait until they release a 5”x9” coil for it. I rarely use my LG28 or SP28. I love the LG15 & LG24. That LG24 is almost as deep as the stock LG28 plus much better separation. I would like to eventually get the LG30 to replace the LG28. I’ve heard it’s lighter weight & separates better.
@@Mr.Technical77 the Simplex Lite is $199. How much you reckon the small 5x9 coil is? Probably $119? So for another $80 you could have a back up, back up detector. That’s worth thinking about for sure.
You could buy the light version for $199 to get the smaller coil and only have $80 into the whole thing if you use the coil off of it for your ultra. But, as we all know you love to use the recovery settings and the light version no gots. The difference in depth on the ultra between lowest and highest recovery speed it's almost 4 inches in field mode. Crazy. In its highest recovery speed setting it's like lightning and in 99 tone almost sounds like the Deus. And yes, it does swing way lighter.
I have compared tens of thousands of targets in the wild between the Legend and Deus 2.....both hit the same targets. It is the same with all the new detectors. The performance is the same but the tones and ergonomics are much different. LETS BE HONEST HERE....we all have the same stuff in out bags at the end of the day...no matter what detector we use.
@@ifindmetal I don’t no about that if you seen my finds in the last month with the Legend it would blow your mind I just pulled a 14 inch Indian Head penny the numbers were a little high between 44 to 51 but at 14 inches I haven’t seen anything like that in any minelab machine s

Good choice!
Cool hunt. I love how you have so much fun, like the pipe to the well. 🤣💖💯
Glad you enjoyed. That well casing is so tempting every hunt. Just something about that sound and echo that is soothing. Thanks for commenting Julie.

Ohhh !tone simplex ultra good !! Good discrimination iron !
Excelente video y hallazgos en ese interesante lugar, muy interesante aventura, saludos cordiales desde chile para usted compañero 🙋♂️🇨🇱⛏️🗝️💍🤝👍👏

Hey Jeremy, what do you think about magnetic locators for deep iron stuff?
Those would be good if the iron targets were valuable. I would not want so spent too much time digging deep iron junk. The soil in my area has high levels of iron oxide. The magnetic locator may not work in hot soil.
You can switch frequencies with the ultra? He said he was in 20khz........must have have been a mistake.
Paystreak was using Legend when he said that.
I was using the Legend in 20khz and Curt was using the Ultra. The Simplex Ultra is single frequency 15khz.
What shovels you guys use?
We use the Predator Phoenix. I used the Predator Hornet in that field and it worked great. Our clay is just so hard right now.
Jeremy, are you going to buy yourself an ultra?
Maybe if I can get a SX24 coil . I have no use for an 11" coil.
Wow, soil was hard 🤯 I mostly detect the beach.
This has been a long summer already. We had our warmest and driest May on record. I am in for the long haul.
Keep digging 👍👊

You guy’s have beat that field to death. Surprised you’re still finding stuff.
In the late fall, this field comes alive. This was Curt's first ever farm field hunt. The Ultra worked flawless.

You can get the small coil by buying a Simplex Lite for $199. It’s not that much more and you’d have 2 machines

I like my ultra. Why buy a $1600.00 dollar machine when a $300.00 dollar machine can do just as well 👍👍
Nothing wrong with a cheaper machine mate.
It’s like cars you don’t need a super expensive one but it sure is nice to have. 😊
It will find stuff but you get what you pay for , there is no way any Nokta machine performs as good as the Manticore
