Actually, Paldean Wooper is the modern version! In ancient times it was normal Wooper living in Paldea, but then they got booted from the water and had to adapt to land - or at least swamps
Also a poison-ground type having freaking Water Absorb as one of its abilities is going to be so sick. I was already sold on the appearance alone, this just makes it even better :D
This is the perfect moment to introduce a rock-type evee-lution, as it’s literally based around rocks. Jaspereon or Alexandeon, in other words a precious crystal with eon on the end.

I'm definitely getting scarlet. Koraidon looks so much cuter, and has a lot more emotion in its face. Certainly looking forward to these games

I’m naming my Fidough Cream Puff. Namely because I made a joke with a friend as we watched the announcement that this Pokémon looked like a Cream Pup. And yes, I considered going by Cream Pup but opted for Cream Puff because I will also be snagging that Polteageist I noticed is available and call that one Darjeeling. Darjeeling and Cream Puff is a better set name. Yes I will probably be using names that sound like I am having a tea party, lol.

When I first saw Paldean Wooper, my type guess (and it was a complete guess) was Poison, Ground, or Poison/Ground. I did NOT know the typing at all.
It is kinda depressing that it's surprising to see so many positive comments about scarlet and violet. Well, at least I don't have to look at anymore "SV looks bad" comments in order to have any conversation about the game
After Arceus, people don’t care if a game doesn’t look great. Arceus looked worse but gameplay was phenomenal, so if the game plays well then look doesn’t matter

only thing i'm still sad about is that the moves when pokemon use tackle or other physical attacks they dont connect like they did in Legends, but... the rest is promising, yet i'm keeping my expectations still low
I’m absolutely getting Violet. Cave-lady professor does nothing for me, I love futuristic aesthetics, and Miraidon looks awesome! Every single new Pokémon looks amazing and I’m hoping that the starters have evolutions that follow the trend.
Also, cooking seems to be a huge theme for this game? Herb cat, water bird, pepper lizard, dough dog, olive Pokémon, pig Pokémon (sorry Lechonk), and a main character who loves to cook.
You could do co-op runs, races, battles and trades with other poketubers your viewers on livestream, here or twitch or wherever, providing the co-op is not restricted by distance

I absolutely love how Scarlet and Violet is turning out, especially the Tera Forms. They look absolutely amazing, I do wanna see what shiny pokemon look like with the Tera Form. I love how Tera forms can have the chance to be a different type, its interesting. I know this’ll probably be explained in game, but I really want to know how Tera Forms come to be. Dynamax and Gigantamax was explained, but is it just the galar participles but Paldea? Or is it mega evolution? Just a question if you do see this Moxie, how do you think Tera Forms are well.. Tera Forms? I don’t know how else to phrase that.
I think it’s like Mega Evolution if you think about it. since the terra forms doesn’t end until the battle, it changes the look but certain Pokémon have a different type The most of the information I’m telling is from the Pokémon Website if you want to see for a better explanation
@@Warmsunny I was hoping it was gonna be somewhat like mega evolution! I haven’t been a pokemon fan for long enough, and I never have played any of the x/y games. But, from what I’ve seen and heard mega evolution was great. But, I do want Tera Forms to have some unique ability besides the type changes (sometimes). I don’t want a mega evolution repeat, since mega evolution did change the type of the pokemon sometimes. But, Terra forms do have unique concepts to them! I feel like I’m rambling at this point, but to summarize it I feel like Terra forms are good, but I want them to be unique and not just a mega evolution repeat.
It's like Hidden Power on steroids. My regular gameplay self will have a lot of fun finding all the different Tera forms,
My competitive self gets a headache seeing a Tera Fire Dragonite in the trailer. Being able to **mid battle** go from a weakness to fairy and a 4x weakness to Ice, to resistance to both and super effective stab vs ice makes my brain hurt 🥴

I believe that Tera Forms work the exact same way as Mega Evolution, in the way that they boost all your stats, but for any/all Pokémon instead of a select few. I think that the Terastallize mechanic can really shake up the game and has PLENTY of potential in competitive play. But you do bring up a good question… How exactly are they gonna explain it as in how it happens or takes place? Guess we’ll find out in November lol

I really think Tera forms are going to be THE perfect mechanism for meta. It doesn't look as OP as mega forms, which was the main problem-too many pokemon were way too OP. Z moves WITH Mega Forms was just a mess. Dynamax and Gigantamax were OKAY but too short. This is the best of both worlds. EVERY Pokemon gets a form, but not every pokemon gets that potential type change, so it's not a mess. So EVERY Pokemon gets a power boost, LIKE Dmax and GMax, BUT not every pokemon gets that type change LIKE how not every pokemon got mega forms. It's perfect. Plus they look stunning I can see a swarovski crystal x pokemon collab coming in the future...And I'll be broke because of it haha.
I agree, the crystal skin/armor looks really cool, though the hats are maybe a bit too big and gaudy and weird, I feel like it would have been enough with the bottom parts of most of the ones we've seen, but other than the hats it looks amazing.
Imagine a Crystal Onix with one of those hats on top of its head spike... lmao

Pokemon swapping stab and weakness and the fact that it's heavy to predict makes it very random and unhealthy, it even boost stab moves even further+ I don't like this big crystal hats
Design wise mega was the best
And balance wise dmax was the best, Z move was okish but most oft the time not even used over an aktual battle item. And Gen 5 jewels was problematic aswell get nuked by an iron jewel bullet punch isn't funny 😅

I think it was implied that every Pokémon could have any Tera type, it's just that the ones with Tera typings which are different from their original typings are less common in the wild and more common in raids. So every Pokémon does get that potential type change.
My question is how the Tera types work. Do they completely overwrite the existing typings? For example, would Pikachu become mono-Flying or Electric/Flying. And how would it interact with dual typings? So would Shedinja become mono-Electric, Electric/Ghost or Bug/Electric? Or would it add to the typing in the same way Trick or Treat would? So it would be Bug/Ghost/Electric Shedinja. I don't know for sure but I'm interested to find out.

As a Greek, I'm really happy to see a game based on a country in the Mediterranean region. 😄 I hope they make one based on my country too, eventually. Lots of Myths and Legends to use as material.

Me, too. In general I like the prehistoric theme/style better, I just don't like that the ridable Pokémon in Scarlet has wheels, when it's running on its legs ... I'm not sure, if I should only get Violet for the ridable Pokémon, although I probably won't like the metallic futuristic style of the other exclusives as much.

You know what would be super cool? Since the gyms are in any order; Paldea has a gym for every type, but you only need to choose 8 of them during the main story. And then, afterwards, you can challenge all of the gyms.
