Jumper makes no guarantees using the (hacked/deviated/compiled...?) protocols. But I've learned the hard way that you must frequency tune. I moved on buying a XJT module. But have since learned Jumper 4 in 1 modules advertise 22dbm which translates to 158mw. The frequency tune did end all failsafes under 600m using Jumper 4 in 1. I'm gonna try some long range now... 3km nice... I've never went that far with my R9 setup.
@@panthai272 Bind receiver go to frequency tune on the set up page. It will be at 0. Change this number up until ya lose connection mine was 44. Change this number down until ya lose connection mine was -90. Midpoint of these 2 values is -23. My new Frequency tune value is -23. In my experience 0 was close on some models and I could fly. Others were off center up too 50pts resulting in failsafes and one lost model.
Since this is eagle tree vector, why not run pre-programmed waypoints at identical elevation/etc with you ready for manual override ? When you edit together, only include the clips (time aligned) when an RX looses signal ? That way it will be obvious which one is doing better. It’s so difficult to gauge when each video is from a different distance. Thanks for doing all this !!!

On a clear view at this altitude is not a problem. But if you fly with Copter, Freestyle through trees, etc., you have powerful reception problems with a r-xsr and others. Since a R9 or Crossfire has a lot of sense
Frsky was known to go a good two to three km and up to four or five with an l9r back in the early days of FPV. That's why it became the juggernaut it is today after selling thousand of their oldschool DIY modules that people put in their 9x transmitters. It's mostly about antenna placement and of course the background RF you'd be hard pressed to get much past 1km in an urban area.
Are the 800mv you fly on important for the range of the recivers or only for the googles? Because in germany youre only allowed to fly 25mv so is there a diffrence with the range of for example thr x9 lite pro?

It might be defective. I can only suggest contacting the vendor you bought it from since opening up.the remote controller by yourself might void the warranty.

That's what i tried but the reciever does not even turn on when i turn the transmitter in bootloader mode, and it turns on fine when i turn it on in normal mode, furthermore, i downloaded the xm+ firmware from frsky and put it in the firmware folder on the sd card, but when i turn on the radio u don't find it in

@Cockroach FPV I would recommend the Flysky FS-X8B receiver over the x6b. I just switched to the x8b and it has a better form factor for most quads as the antennas are better aligned to the rear of the quad now instead of to the side of it which always caused me issues when aligning the antenna to the rear of the quad and always popping of my antennas in a crash with the x6b. Recently I used a fs-i6 transmitter and flew over a hillside about 230 yards and had no issues with failsafe with the x8b. I would be curious though for a side by side range test of the fs-i6 and the jumper t16 pro. Just might have to be my new transmitter.
Well I have Jumpert 16 pro and Jumper R1F receiver and I'm getting realy bad range about 500 max and than sudden fail safe . Ordered TBS crossfire hope it will sole this.
slight bias comparison looks like we are trying to get farther with the jumper I noticed you keep the alt on the quad using the jumper about 2x the alt which we all know that alt = range next test id like to see all of them at the same alt and id like the see the x9d not 2 toy grade frsky tx ….
Why are you comparing the Jumper to all the Taranis Lite models? How about comparing it to the Taranis X9D+ 2019 SE? I think that would be a more honest comparison. Not sure : didn't the T16 turn around at 3021m, with at least one "signal critical"alert, while the x9 lite turned around at 3256m, without signal critical ? As stated at the beginning, it seems that the limiting factor for the three of them was more battery and video signal than radio signal. Good performace from all three (3000m? Who needs crossfire?? :) I am actually amazed that the tiny internal antenna of the X-lite performed that well!!!
So basically, in the real world you video link will drop before the radio and your battery range is less than the radio range so you will have no failsaves ever?
Did you do the multiprotocol tuning procedure that is required for the module to work optimally with FrSky relievers? It's pretty simple and might get you more range: github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module/blob/master/docs/Frequency_Tuning.md
certainly not a fair test when you range test both frsky radio at much lower altitude than the jumper. I know it's frsky trashing season but at least try to do it well.
This is my first attempt in doing a multiple TX range test. I appreciate all the comments and will do my best to improve my tests in the future.

as a X-Lite owner, i think you cannot flash r-xsr to the access firmware and use it with X-Lite updated to newest fimrware to support R9M Lite PRO

If you will stick to 25mw you will be limited to the range of the VTX probably.

what means the F1:4 and what means the data on the left of the voltaje? with a strange curly doy, its on top of the time.
F1 = Band And Channel = 5740. 4 = output power - Was set to 800mw. The other value is the percentage of the throttle.

Not sure - I haven't tested it. Anyway - 200m seems too short.
You need to tune the internal module in the radio, let me know if you need help to tune the module tx to you rx

certainly not a fair test when you range test both frsky radio at much lower altitude than the jumper. I know it's frsky trashing season but at least try to do it well.
