Jumper makes no guarantees using the (hacked/deviated/compiled...?) protocols. But I've learned the hard way that you must frequency tune. I moved on buying a XJT module. But have since learned Jumper 4 in 1 modules advertise 22dbm which translates to 158mw. The frequency tune did end all failsafes under 600m using Jumper 4 in 1. I'm gonna try some long range now... 3km nice... I've never went that far with my R9 setup.

Since this is eagle tree vector, why not run pre-programmed waypoints at identical elevation/etc with you ready for manual override ? When you edit together, only include the clips (time aligned) when an RX looses signal ? That way it will be obvious which one is doing better. It’s so difficult to gauge when each video is from a different distance. Thanks for doing all this !!!

Frsky was known to go a good two to three km and up to four or five with an l9r back in the early days of FPV. That's why it became the juggernaut it is today after selling thousand of their oldschool DIY modules that people put in their 9x transmitters. It's mostly about antenna placement and of course the background RF you'd be hard pressed to get much past 1km in an urban area.

Witch one of these are better have the best range and quality signal by default, with no external modules attached? The pro of T8SG Plusis the fact of being multi protocol, but I don't know if the quality signal and range beats the taranis options.

@Cockroach FPV I would recommend the Flysky FS-X8B receiver over the x6b. I just switched to the x8b and it has a better form factor for most quads as the antennas are better aligned to the rear of the quad now instead of to the side of it which always caused me issues when aligning the antenna to the rear of the quad and always popping of my antennas in a crash with the x6b. Recently I used a fs-i6 transmitter and flew over a hillside about 230 yards and had no issues with failsafe with the x8b. I would be curious though for a side by side range test of the fs-i6 and the jumper t16 pro. Just might have to be my new transmitter.

Not sure : didn't the T16 turn around at 3021m, with at least one "signal critical"alert, while the x9 lite turned around at 3256m, without signal critical ? As stated at the beginning, it seems that the limiting factor for the three of them was more battery and video signal than radio signal. Good performace from all three (3000m? Who needs crossfire?? :) I am actually amazed that the tiny internal antenna of the X-lite performed that well!!!
