How did you manage to get the Emission carbs to handle such a heavy cam, the internet keeps saying that you cant use the G and onwards carbs for performance. I have a set of 40 DHLA G carbs i want to put on my Mk1 Golf 1.6 engine with a 280 cam. Im worried they wont be able to be tuned for that application.

They work better than the other versions. So go ahead you will be suprised how well they work. I have fitted them to many golfs and they haul ass.
