@@Koraki0000 Well, they paid good attention the first few episodes. But now they pause more than they actually watch, and talk about so much unrelated shit, that they totally miss the essential plot points. Or they do watch and straight up talk over the scenes. It's really sad.
For One Piece fans,
the Future Devil's power is Kenbonshoku Haki.
There's top kenbonshoku users, like Katakuri or Shanks, who can see into the future like that.
Seems like most reactors have been missing it so far. The first time Aki used the weapon from the Curse devil, the Snake lady and Power both specifically called it a nail. Different shape then the katana he's using now.
Most reactors really does miss a lot of obvious things and get mad when people explain it in the comments as sometimes the explanation got dragged out all the way into the future plots...
I think this is the fault of the anime. It covers the tip of the nail with blood, making it less obvious. In the manga the tip breaks out of the panel making it very clear it's a nail.

Maybe it's not the fear of Angel's in general that created the angel devil,but Maybe the fear of the Angel of death, which would make sense considering Angel's power is too drain peoples life just from physical contact.
I thinks it's most like devil's aren't created by fear, they are strengthened by it, nobody fears tomato, but there is a tomato devil, same for sea cucumber, they exist but they are weak in combat
I still think devils could be created by fear, I mean theres a LOT of weird and irrational phobias out there. Plus, if we're talking about actual biblically accurate angels they are fucking scary.
Also fear of the divine in general, fear of God or God's, fear of judgment, fear of not being in heaven, all things that relate back to Angels.

With respect to making the season in one go, it is complicated for MAPPA since they are the ones who are investing all the money to make CSM so they must also generate profits in that period, also for these 12 episodes I think it took about a year and a half or so, to maintain this quality for 24 chapters is almost impossible
the president of mappa wanted this so he better be killing his staff to keep high level quality going. and if other shows they aquired look like shit people will let them have it. no mercy for them they asked for this

It's been said already but crunchyroll actually fixed the translation issue to what future devil is supposed to say. No idea how they messed up this bad lol every other language got the right translation but they somehow mistranslated it to that
The Angel Devil is supposed to be the fear of angels, or like the negative aspects associated with angels. Stuff like the Angel of Death or Divine punishment. Stealing lifespans through physical contact is a part of that.
Keeping every outstanding aspect aside ,can we talk about the subtlety they showed with Aki's character in this show ,like how he killed those zombies mercilessly but didn't kill those humans ,just knocked 'em out and that's exactly what that guy with the cut mark implied when he told Aki to take care of himself since division 4 is crawling with maniacs lol

Manga reader here. They never actually explain why the gun devil needs money lol. I assume he just wanted to make them a little more miserable.
Also regarding the mistranslation from Crunchyroll, they misheard the word “saiako” (worst) for the word “saiko” (best). What he actually says is along the lines of “You’re gonna die in the worst possible way.” This is important cause when Aki does die, Future Devil brings up the line again and adds more context.

Most of the things you hear about gun devil are probably fake, since the only time we see gun devil he's shown to be more of a weapon then a conscious living thing

Like they said, the actual Gun Devil is barely sentient, when we first see it; you might even call it a
"devil vegetable". It can still do a lot of damage, but has no real agency.
The Gun Devil was more powerful back in the day when it killed Aki's family, along with millions of people worldwide. All done in seconds
Someone (we don't know who) either beat, or killed it at some point. Then they cut him up in large pieces, with the US Government keeping 20% of the Gun Devil.
That's the thing they'd made a contract with, and later send out to kill Makima.

People aren't necessarily afraid of angels themselves. They more likely to fear the concept of them and what they represent, since they suppose to appear on the hour of your death.
The Angel devil makes a lot of sense actually. Devils are created through human beings fears. If you think about an angels biblical description it makes a lot of sense why people are scared of them.

CSM is only 11 Volumes, this 12 episode is covering 1 to half of 5 volumes. The amount of story for the rest of volumes, MAPPA might break Season 2 in 2 parts

Mappa announced the production for the anime 2 years ago, so saying wait another 6 - 9 months for a 24 episode season is pretty much impossible. Could be possible to wait another 2 years and have a 4 year production bu they still need to ride the hype of chainsaw man manga. Regardless, at the pace the episodes are going, I don't think all 97 chapters would even fit 24 episodes because as of now, the anime is currently in the middle of chapter 35. And if we go with 3 chapters per episode, they'd still have 8 more episodes after the 24 you're proposing.
I'm hoping they'll convert the next arc into a 2 hour movie and make the season 2 finale a 48 minute special. I think it's great pacing. Chainsaw man is definitely one of those series that's just teeth-grindingly suspenseful but I also think it's for the best that the anime is taking it slow. I read the manga for the first time in like 48 hours and it felt like an absolute mistake doing so. Upon re-reading it multiple times, I realize how much subtle writing that I've missed because of my impatience. I really think that the writing in this series is something that you'd want to take your time to reflect on, and the show is doing a lot of good things to keep it rent-free inside your head.
Lots of people want the bomb devil arc to be a movie, and tbh it makes the most sense. Anime movies have been extremely successful as of lately, and bomb devil arc has everything needed to be a huge spectacle to see in theaters.

Bomb Devil arc as a movie does make sense because it's not quite short enough to have another arc to follow it within one season and there's pretty much no break starting from the International Assassins' Arc (poor Denji). How I imagine those two arcs being worked into the second season is if the season ends with the Future Devil telling Aki about "the devil that devils fears most" and then boom. end.
--But then watch as Crunchyroll fucks up the translation for that line and instead write some sh*t like "a really scary devil is gonna appear :3"--

So, Crunchyroll messed up a bit with the Future Devil this episode. In the official manga, he says this about Aki's death: You're gonna die in the worst possible way.
Anyone who can read between the lines knows that's what the future devil meant. A human death wouldn't be appealing to a devil unless it was horrible.

I think angel devil existing makes sense. Christianity/Catholics instill a lot of fear of judgement from God and angels. Makes sense that those believers would be afraid of negative judgement by God or angels being cast to hell.
If you haven't seen it yet, a lot of people are annoyed at the translation here. They have the future devil say "your death will fucking rule" when a better translation would be "your death will be fucking awful." Tbf, the future devil does think that will rule, but as the audience we're supposed to be afraid for Aki.

@@SortaStupid It's not about what manga says. In the anime future devil also is saying "your death will be fucking worst". The subtitles are just wrong. If you listen closely, you can hear that he is saing: "saiaku" (worst) and not "saiko" (best/awesome). He's using "saiko" when saying "future rules". But Aki's death will be "saiaku".
Season one is comprised of 38 chapters of the manga and if season 2 follows the same format it should be comprised of 41 chapters ending with chapter 79. Chapter 79... T.T

The future rules
Living in a world where demons are very much a real thing, it's only natural most would believe in a god and the angels as well. And with angels being the ones who not only take you to be judged, but are also the judges, the fear of angels may come from the fear of judgement itself. And the reason he's able to drain the lifespan of humans is because angels are the ones who take the souls of the dead to their final judgement after their passing.
I don't mind split cours if it's a few months, for them to work on the show i mean they already working on it to begin with whether it is 2 cours right away or 2 cours seperate. They still have to work on the anime before release. So why not give them some extra time with the second cour. My only issue is when the studio is so unprepared like they do a attack on titan and they make you wait a year for another cour at that point you might as well call it season 2.
For example attack on titan season 4 gets announced as the last season. and then we get part 1 wait another year. Part 2 another year. part 3 another year. At that point just call it fucking season 6 or some shit. It's not a cour anymore if it takes a fucking year. attack on titan has been doing this in since season 3, so for them yes I would just rather have another few months of waiting to release or another year rather then be given 1 part of a season each year. It's funny because 1 second in the video right after i typed my thoughts out attack on titan was already mentioned like the second i press play after typing this out. 🤣😂

I am fine with some dialogue changes here and there but why do they got to change the important dialogues?
Without spoiling, I am fine with anime adding aura or things like pacing but why do they got change pivotal moments like Nami about Luffy and recently Robin about Sanji. Those are pretty important lines in the manga.

I think the Angel Devil represents religious fear of death more then actual angels. Slight spoilers for his abilities and some of his personality, but nothing story related! Also anything I say about religion isn’t meant to insult, just observations I’ve made through experience.
The Angel Devil has the ability to steal a person’s life force and can create weapons out of the stored up life force. There’s a lot of symbolism with each Devil, and to me Angel’s powers and design represent the fear of death(not wanting him to touch you) and the literal weaponization of that fear. Anyone with any experience with Christianity knows that a lot of beliefs revolve around the fear of dying and going to hell, and this fear is what drives the beliefs on how to live your life. From a young age you’re taught to fear death and, in a way, to fear seeing the Angels. This also comes through in parts of his personality. He’s non combative which is something the Church teaches will get you into Heaven but is also lazy, which is one of the 7 Deadly Sins. His personality kinda shows the duality of people and their fear of death. He isn’t going to go out of his way to do “evil” things but he’s also not going to put in the effort to improve himself. This is why I think he represents the religious fear of the afterlife. The people of faith who don’t do anything evil but never work on themselves are ultimately the people who are afraid of their fate in the afterlife, and in order to feel some sense of comfort they “weaponize” their beliefs and try to use their teachings on other people. Angel is a Devil because people are afraid of dying and what afterlife they end up in.
If anyone has any other ideas I’m down to hear your thoughts! I might be looking too deep into Angel and symbolism, but what can I say except literature was my favorite class. Devils as a concept are just so fucking interesting! I want a dictionary on every detail about every Devil ever. Please Fujimoto, just make a Necronomicon for the Chainsaw Man universe

I don't think the dialogue change is that important. It matches the tone of the Future Devil and it's supposed to be unclear anyway.
How is that unclear, I mean that's your opinion, but I feel like it just changed the whole mood of it, the line in the manga feel way more dark for me
