Not only is the Chainsaw Man is set in the late 1990’s, it’s also set in a different reality then ours. In the manga, when Makima tells Denji about the Gun Devil, she mentions the Soviet Union instead of Russia, meaning the Cold War could still be going on
It is set in the 90's but the reason why the Soviet Union still exists is not because of a different reality but a massive manga spoiler instead. And the cold war is currently not going on.

I've been blown away by the anime. I love it. But I've seen that alot of people think it does a disservice to the story and Denji's attitude/disposition especially. How faithful would you say it's been to the manga so far?

If you cut someone in half down the middle, they'd lose the right third of their heart. It's off center to the left, not all the way on the left side of the body. Just saying, it's not an unreasonable conclusion.

Of course it’s a joke. It’s always been a joke with us. We’re literally laughing as he said it. We’ve never held a grudge against her, she’s a cartoon character. We found her annoying in the first couple episodes. After that it’s just literally been fun. You know how many times I’ve been told I or my favorite character is annoying? A lot. How many times have I been offended or spoiled something to those people? Literally 0

The end of the ep is a teaser for the next szn but you will only get what its implying if you read the manga. So dont try to over analyze it.

The fact that they bashed on Kobeni at the start of the video, then didn't say beardly anything negative about her shows that they're intentionally triggering people.
The only negative thing they said aside from the intro is that power is a better character, which makes sense as Power is a main supporting character and Kobeni is a supporting supporting character. Hell, after a few arcs Kobeni leaves the story until the end.

We absolutely are intentionally triggering people. We’ve been very open about how we never actually had an issue with Kobeni. Just made a statement that she was useless in the first episode she was introduced because she was.
After we got blasted, attacked and spoiled by childish fanbase we decided to double down and just anger them weekly
