As toxic fans go, CSM is pretty tame considering it's not as huge as other mainstream IP or the established works like AOT.
When the IP grows larger, you will have more toxic voices simply because you will have more fans. So nowadays, the most toxic fandoms on Earth are always TV fans. But TV is dying, so who knows what's going to be the most toxic fandom in the future.
Trust the CSM community is plenty toxic. Not as bad as AoT tho

@@soulstriker773 it was explained in the Volume One Podcast, there are other factors, but the main one is for community engagement, because what's the point of having a reaction video if the comments are off.

Here’s after I watched the volume one podcast about the toxic manga fandom. I am annoyed of the amount of people that cannot let others enjoy their first anime experience 🙄🤦🏻♂️smh
At the same time they want the UA-camrs/streamers to react to their favourite shows on stream/UA-cam, but spoil it in the comments. It makes no sense 💀💀💀

Honestly I think people have gotten to sensitive as to what counts as a bad fandom 😂 csm fandom hasn’t really been bad, every fandom deals with people who like to spoil (spoilers don’t bother me), every fandom has demanding people, every fandom has weirdos that are obsessed with the minors. Those are all bad things that every fandom deals with so it’s hard to consider one fandom worse or better than another. They’re all just meh imo

Our culture has been in the gutter for decades now, of course fans get toxic. The anonymity of internet means people can be as dumb, rude, and inconsiderate, as they want and get off on getting rises out of people.
That said…you also never made clear at the start of each video for a new series what’s acceptable and unacceptable information to be revealed in the comments by viewers and fans,…so you can’t be mad when people who don’t know your channel or your personalities, nor perhaps understand that the shit they reveal in their excitement could be considered a spoiler. It’s the internet, you don’t know exactly who’s watching and not everyone is as mature or as socially aware as you. Lots of people probably didn’t understand they might be ruining the experience for you.
So freaking tell them what’s acceptable from the get go…you get what you sow. If your vague, then alls fair in the comments.
I highly recommend keeping comments off people are already starting to spoil y’all
