Dr. Berg talks about what it means when you get up too fast and feel dizzy. This indicates possible adrenal weakness because the adrenal is not recovering.

I just took your quiz and reviewed the results. I have watched many of your videos, I take your nutritional yeast, D3 and K2, liver cleanse and gall bladder support supplements. I do intermittent fasting, started exercising. Added sugar is totally gone from my diet. Thanks to you I have lost 27 pounds in 2 years and reduced visceral fat. I have reduced my insulin resistance. I am eternally thankful to you for my success. I have kidney issues and my GFR is at 66. I will order the other supplements you recommend and will continue watching your videos. I still have much to improve my health and will continue working. Thank you again,

Just saw your post on this. I have another alternative answer to this and one i can speak from first hand experience as i spend the July 4th weekend in the Hospital E.R. On Friday I was fine up till point after driving home on commute, I got up and out from car and started walked into my house and all suddenly was dizzy, lightheaded, with rapid heart/pulse rate. I could barely standup and almost passed out standing up. Sitting down slowed things down a bit to recover, but standing up went back to rapid heart/pulse, dizziness etc. Ended up in the E.R. And had a blood count of 6/14. I was shocked when Dr told me! Had a bunch of test and an Endoscopy Exam of GI Track. I had a bleeding Stomach Ulcer for some unknown amount of time that caused me to loss over 1/2 my blood count. On standing up, heart didn't have enough blood to pump blood around body and to brain which caused me the rapid heart/pulse rate, lightheaded and dizziness. Spend 3 days in the E.R., had 2 blood transfusions, IV and some meds to heal my Stomach and GI Tract. Was put on Pantoprazole for medication to continue to heal GI Tract. But that one almost killed me. In my case, the dizziness from standing up plus execrated heart/pulse rate and can barely stand was caused from loss of blood from internal bleeding.

As I understand it, the dizziness/drop in blood pressure is simply a sign of dehydration and low blood volume which is common in people not getting enough salt and fluids on a ketogenic diet.

It happens when I suddenly getup after a long idle periods. I see this usually when I'm on 24-48-72 hrs fasting only, not regularly. I don't see this pattern when I'm on 1/2/3 meal keto/carb diet. I follow bergs it could be fluid loss(electrolytes, salt, etc..), adding them back is the key, but this video talks about adrenals? If mine were hyper/hypo it should happen anytime, but that's not the case. It's only happens when I fast extended periods.

In fact my mom blacked out and fainted briefly on the street when trying to quickly stand up after crouching to pick something up. I too once blacked out when trying to stand up after cleaning my hamster's cage. We've been told by doctors that it's due to our low blood pressure and there's nothing we can do. For menstruating women, low hemoglobin concentration from blood loss can produce darkened vision and vomiting, but that vomiting is a mechanism to temporarily restore brightness. The individual is weak and sleepy. It happened about half a dozen of times at various places that led me to a near death experience. When I found the cure, darkened vision never happened again. I didn't get dizzy anymore. That cure didn't include prescription medications.
The worst was continued blood loss from bleeding. Remove hospitalization because euthanizer will drain blood from blood vessels. Blood transfusion will restore, but some groups are against it.

My systolic pressure decreased by 23, and my heart rate increased by 65 comparing lying down and standing up. I was sure I had low blood pressure, but it so far is testing elevated to pretty high. I'm 6'8" tall, so mine should be somewhat higher. My symptoms all perfectly match low blood pressure from a dysfunctional autonomic nervous system, but the high blood pressure is really throwing me off. I'm two days into a water fast, though, so I don't know how that is affecting everything. If anyone has any feedback, I'd appreciate it.

My daughter has postural orthostactic tachycardia syndrome. Usually called POTS. The dizziness is very common. Along with a group of symptoms. It is usually misdiagnosed for years. It is the same test but a heart rate rise of over 30. It is more common in women and usually occurs in young women

I went to a neurologist for this and my tilt table test wasn't very telling.... But, my symptoms do occur when I go from laying to sitting to standing (it must be due to the stress and pressure on my legs in my case, whereas the tilt table test was still in a laying down position and thus I was in a relaxed position). So, my doc was a bit perplexed bc he saw the records of my HR and my history of orthostatic hypotension and hypotension. I have have ehlers danlos, which is a fairly common comorbidity. What is helping your daughter with her symptoms? It's really a tough thing to deal with, and also to get properly diagnosed, so I'm glad to hear she is finding out answers!

I have this. Blood pressure drops and heart rate increases anywhere up to 55bpm when standing. Blood pools in legs and hands so they look red/purple. Can’t stand on the spot long without falling or even fainting. At its best I can move around for small periods of time but can never stand still, have to be moving, and at its worst I have to lay down all the time. Pots is debilitating and there are so many potential causes. Nothing helps so far but haven’t given up.

Today when I was laying down in my bed and I got up Everything went as expected. Blackened vision, hard to balace. But when I fell to the ground I got kinda like a mini-seizure and my whole body started shaking without my control. It only lasted for like 3-5 seconds but I had never experienced it before.
Is this normal? Or has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I have experienced it before. I am confirmed anorexia so food intake requires for energy is compromised. For menstruating women, blood loss and diminished oxygen carrying molecule called hemoglobin is a factor.
So malnutrition, blood loss, sleep deprivation/sleepless nights are the causes of the experience you described above. Address these factor and dizzy and dizzy spell will be cured.

Been getting dizzy for months now, went to the doctor several times and its not going away. I get really dizzy sometimes when I stand up too fast or when I lay down and make quick sudden turns, my head then feels heavy and I get really hot and start sweating. I'm so nervous when it comes on and very worried, the doctors all think its my sinuses but their medications aren't helping. HELP ME PLEASE!

I'm doing keto for 4 months now, IF for 3 months. A week ago, all the sudden I get these dizzy moments when I jump up from laying down. I eat the recommended 7 to 10 cups of vegetables.
I don't understand why this all the sudden starts again. Can it just be the vitamin b1? I do use nutricional yeast to supplement b vitamins, though not daily.

I usually get dizzy when I stand up but just now I was laying on my bean bag in my room and I stood up with a glass in my hand. I started walking toward my door and that's when I realized "darn i stood up too fast." I was just kind of swaying back and forth holding my wall and when it was over I looked down and realized I had dropped the glass and It was shattered on my floor. I don't remember dropping it or hearing it shatter. It's like u are in a dream state and don't even know what u are doing. The saddest part about this story tho is that it's one of my mom's favorite glasses😂😂

Also check out Dr Berg’s video on POTS! It could be a vitamin B1 deficiency aka beriberi! The adrenal glands, stress, & the B vitamins are intimately connected. No wonder stress can cause a heart attack!
