I just finished watching the episode with Aaron. Very impressive interview.-articulate, well prepared and comfortable. And from his very proud mother, I can tell you that his dedication was ALWAYS perfection. His passion was and is what drove him. I had NO doubt when he drove out of the driveway that he would be successful ( I also knew that Dave Mayhew would keep an eye on him.). It is great that you are sharing with the younger skaters the stories of those "legends" that started it all..
Has the guest's mother ever commented on her son/daughter's interview before? That's rad.
So cool!
30 years later and you’re still just as supportive ❤
Thanks for being a great parent and giving me someone to look up to while I skated all those years ago. We are like this with our boys as we are moving to Bangkok from Costa Rica so our boys can start skating more! Aaron is still an idol with his current career as an editor. Keep having fun everyone!
Hell yeah mom! You having your son's back like this is something I never had 😢
Smolik and Aaron’s part were my favorite on fulfill the dream, both parts have aged so well. the style of skating was so ahead of its time.
Same. Aaron's song is so damn good too
Fs 180 to switch front crook on that bench was incredible for the time period, as was the fakie 5.0 fakie tre ender - Snyder was amazing in Fulfill the Dream
Keep bringing the shortys crew on the show!!!
U r in for a treat
Snyder was so underrated
Dream guests: Tom Penny , Guy Mariano , Eric Koston , Peter Smolik, Shortys Steve Olson, Rodney Mullen
That would blow up and keep people watching !!! Yeah please try to get those @nineclub
@@vannyyim728 I’m watching regardless but that would be awesome and wouldn’t mind Bringing back the OG Steve Olson and maybe Julio De La Cruz 💪🏾
Make it happen Roberts!!
@@michaelsutherlandsk8a4life And we also need a Chris Roberts Nine Club Ep with Roger , Kelly , and Dubs interviewing him
Don't forget Toan Nguyen!
I instantly hear his fulfill the dream song in my head 🎵
same. one of the best beats EVER dude!!!
We all hear IT
That 360 flip over the Dana hills high school roof gap was so stylish and years ahead. I can see that burned into my mind to this day.
was switch??
@@forwardforever9178 pretty sure he’s goofy foot so it was regular 360 flip.
@@brokenoutline your right i thought he did it regular. love his style tho!
I worked as an editor alongside Aaron at Rockstar Energy back in 2019. Always a fun dude to be around, Aaron is the man! Great episode!
We love this guy! 🙌
One of Wisconsin's finest! Rewatch Trouble Shooters.
Underrated video. One of my all time favs. Whole vid is amazing.
Get Tricks Or Die Trying is my favorite video. It's criminally underrated.
snyder is such a humble and nice person! great interview.
Not in person he is
(Quite the opposite)
Snyderman! That Seven steps to heaven part is so good! Crazy that Maple kicked him off after that
The footage to back up that Penny story was great. That kickflip was massive and so stylish.
Great hearing stories and seeing footy of skating Madison, that was a fun time! Marbles rails and ledges, Humanities and that whole zone was such a sweet spot.
SD in the house again!!! Yessss
Maple was so stacked
When I first moved to SD from Wisconsin I randomly ran into aaron, Brian and Sosa and they let me stay on their couch til I found my own apartment. I later moved back into that pad and aaron was the man, he would always take me on skate missions and show me around San Diego and All over. Such a rad dude 💯
I did not know he was kicked off shorty’s, always wondered why he wasn’t in guilty
Can't count how often i wached his part in get tricks or die trying . So good 👏👏👏
Watched His fullfill the dream part at least 100 times.
Skating and Song got me sooo hyped to skate
As a 39 year old from Santa Barbara, Snyder was my first real favorite skater as soon as fulfill the dream came out. Thanks for coming on Snyder man
This episode was pure GOLD! I had no idea he struggled this much being that good. He is such a sick skater and solid dude!
If you could get Justin Case in here, that be sick. Local legend for sure.
Some great stories from him in this episode!
Years ago on ebay there was bootleg dvds of one of those velodrome contests filmed from the furthest back seats overlooking the whole place and amongst the expected stuff like Willy killing it and Marc Johnson and D Way and everybody. There was also a moment where the announcer was like "next is Tom Penny!....wait where is he? Get him out here!" He was probably chilling in that party van and still came out and skated
I see you JC creepin in the bushes haha another great one loved it ,thank you legends yah killing it.. ...
I just set up the shortys trix rabbit eyes deck! 7.5 inches of nostalgic goodness...
All I ride is 7.5 have been since 94 and still counting. You should see the looks I get from ppl lol.
@@squeaknj hahaha me too homie
I loved this episode! I
Honestly I think the whole gang needed to show Aaron more love on-air for his amazing skateboarding.
I remember hearing stories back in the early 90's about what "these guys from Madison" were doing at "Rotation Station" skatepark and laughing incredulously. Like, "kickflip noseblunts...yeah, right?!".
Such an amazing episode… ! Really one of my favorite shortys parts and I always wondered what the deal was. Glad I got to enjoy the courthouse because of your help. That didn’t go unnoticed.
Best episode yet! Love Snyder such a rad guy and skater!
Sick history! I skated with Shorty's(year 2000ish) when they came to Louisville Kentucky for a skatepark demo and Me and one of the park krews took them to jcc ledges and Rodrigo Lima tore that ledge up and it was Shorty's guilty video🔥📢 Olson was in the van with clouds of smoke and one of the ams i forget his name was drunk as hell doing switch flip back tail down the ledge ! Crazy night
That was a fun episode, thank you guys
Been requesting Snyder for years.. thanks guys!
i love early '90s footage, that stuff is gnarly
I was told that his sponsors all dropped him because he was a difficult personality. I’m glad he clarified this and we now know the truth.
Thanks for all of the fun content!
If every episode was more like this, I'd go back to watching regularly. Frankly, Aaron should be hosting the show. Sidenote: I hung out with Aaron at Visalia skate camp one day after all the other kids had left and he was so nice and cool to me. Him and Pete Lehman. Will always be a fan.
Crazy, coincidentally I’ve been watching a lot of Aaron’s parts lately. Looking forward to this interview. Aaron has such great style and trick selection.
Just got back from Bonnaroo so this is needed 😂🎆💠 shout out to The Nine Club! 🛹🛹🛹🧈🧈🧈 much love from WI
Nine Club SMolik. Quit the shit - get him on.
This is the number one place on the internet now to ask if anyone here has Aaron‘s Fulfil the Dream track. I did ask him and he told me that he hasn’t. Muska never replied😑
haj f karimah “consequences”
@@HUBB1 thanks, I think we all know the track name since it’s in the credits… the question is if someone still has a copy of it…
Great episode , Can we get Steve Olsen next
his Get tricks part was insane
great interview. it's always so good to hear these stories. a lot of us grew up with Shorty's and everything surrounding it. maybe we could see Jesse Silvey on sometime?
we now need a !JC command like tim’s command 😂
Bring on Toan Nguyen next!! Give the homie his shine first flip trick to bs tailslide on a handrail + the classic baggies
Marc Johnson did it in that maple vid before him but yeah, Toan is awesome and would love to hear his story.
@@billjackson5543 Oh dang that Maple video is a couple years before me will have to peep that Marc Johnson part. Thanks for letting me know (edit: actually 96 nope just never saw that one)
@@markfabela2531 its a classic for sure. What a great year '96 was for skate videos. Welcome to Hell, Trilogy, etc.
Skated with Aaron in Kelowna British Columbia when he was on a Darkstar tour. he was ripping frontside blunts and I was ripping backside blunts down a hubba at the park. Great day!
Been waiting for this one! 🙂
Snyder in seven steps to heaven! 🔥🔥
His part in Tactical Manual is so sick, all his video parts were dope af!
Peter Smolik needs a 9!!!!!
Great episode
Those ads were epic
Very dope episode.
I forgot that Snyder wasn't in Guilty, his fullfill the dream part was pretty sick
When Fulfill the Dream dropped, Shorty's became the skate worlds version of The Beatles. People lost their minds!
Waiting on Smolik...
I love his part in Fulfill the Dream. Especially that SONG, so fucking good. I'd love to hear what the story behind that one was, as it's not available *anywhere* except in Aaron's part. And I've done quite a bit of hunting over the years.
Legend Aaron Snyder🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Crabz on that Rockstar sponz thing adorable..
Heck yeah let’s GO!
At long last maybe we can answer the question of the song for his video part in fulfill. How did they pick it and how do I find a good version of it? I’ve been hunting it for yearssssss
Nice to see Kelly's tablet in full effect! Great interview. Bring back Kurt Bruce! Lol
You guys have to get Smolik on the show triple OG from SD
Aaron 🙌🏾
JC spotted in the house plant at 31:10
The snyd man 🔥🔥
Aaron was slept on 😭 such a awesome dude
His darkstar graphics are always on my mind when I think of DS
1:45:36 That’s funny because that 411 hotdogs on wheels was the first clip/part I saw of Snyder loved that 411 as a kid pretty sure I got it in a mag
Looking like Christian Slater these days! Still love the part in Fulfill the Dream. I was bummed when he wasn't in Guilty.
Kids growing up did not care about or treat san Diego different back then.. being on East Coast.. we just knew it was Cali & loved them all. We just thought Osiris & Shorty's or "san Diego" people had more fun skating, with their friends & partying - living life to the fullest.
Fantastic episode get Toan and Old Dirty Smolik and the cycle will be complete.
Hot dogs on wheels was one of my very first skate videos in 2007
😅
@12:15, oshkosh Wisconsin!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂
He had the first fakie five-0 flip three flip Id seen at the time. Im sure he wasnt the first but it may have been the cleanest. Smolik hadnthe first kickflip back tail kickiflip and back tail big flip. After watching Best of 411VM, and seeing MJ with the flip out tricks, the progression of skating skyrocketed. Now, nothing surprises me. It really is like a video game. Technique has been perfected and even the most difficult tricks come out flawless. Any little imperfection will have you scrapping footage or running back to do another.
Steve Olson interview next!!!
Snyder-Man is the man
Who else is going to look up old Snyder clips afyer this?
Aaron is a great guy
No he’s not !
Daxter Lussier should be the next guest from this gen. Style for days and he still works in skateboarding.
I’ve never been to the court house but wasn’t it like a homeless hideout
Watch the recent Dern Bros video, Crob was saying one time they brought a genni and lights at night and the homeless started busting out of the woodworking thinking it was the cops to come kick them out 😂
Yeah Guilty had so much potential and blew it hard...its hard to get everything right when its all just winging it
ha! I love Mike Flanagan
❤❤❤
Dark star wheels were really hard kinda like bones
They were pure garbage around '03
a sny? got damnit jst keeps getting better and better
Too bad you didn´t come up with his song in Fulfill the Dream.
It will probably remain an eternal treasure unseen...
But, cool interview/episode anyways 🙂
The coolest haircut in the entire fourth grade class…
Bring in Toan and/or Jesse sometime, I'd love to hear what happened to them.
Riding horses together obviously didn’t mean much after hearing the kick off story. 😂 a fax 😢
lovevittyluv the skates
Yeah, boo! 😂
Damnit courthouse is gonna be gone?
People that have never skated are always the ones who build parks thinking they’re helping
Darrell Stanton PLLLZZZZZZZZZZZ
👏👏👏👏👍👏👏👍
JW looking like He wants to sleep
