Props to Gusmancini. Anyone who’s played this knows it’s hard, let alone on Hard... while trying to speedrun in front of a huge audience. There are many moments it’s clear he’s put in a lot of work into this game and a stellar run through the final stages.
Reading the comments, I was expecting a bad run.
Actually, a good run, a few mistakes, sure, but nothing ashaming, Sunset Riders is a fucking hard game.
To all who say he sucks: have you ever played this game? It's very hard. There's a reason he's there playing it and you're on the couch talking shit on the internet: you're not good enough.
yes indeed the game is hard as hell.... i finished once and it took me a lot of time....but at the same time is awesome
I can play this game perfectly- never losing a life, scoring 50 out 50 kills in the bonus stages and racking up the money counter past $500 thousand- with practice and a good amount of luck. I haven't done it in years, but it is possible.
However, speed running this game is something else entirely, and I would probably come nowhere near this guy's time. I had no idea that trick of shooting the final boss through the barrier was possible! Gonna have to try that the next time I play this game.

they never mention pistol characters do more damage, while shotgun characters have wider range. richard rose fight was amazing tho

I used to love renting this game on Genesis. I never realized how different that version was. There are some similarities but a ton of differences.
The death sound of the enemies seem more like ricochet sounds to me.
All those deaths is what he gets for choosing Steve over Billy.

If the pistol characters are shit why he uses it? cormano its the best
Pistols do better damage per bullet, shotguns spread with each bullet doing considerably less damage per shot. So pistols kill bosses faster (unless you want to play up close and personal... when one hit kills)
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the category was Any% Hard with Pistols...
Sega Genesis version way better.

Our Genesis had Indians and our Power Up Bandits would not die when shot.
ok ok everyone praises this game...but........have anyone question the fact that in this game you have an automatic revolver?
