15 Minute Strength Training Workout for Seniors & Beginners // Osteoporosis Friendly

- Thank you for joining me for this quick full body strength training workout. After a short warm up we will perform compound exercises for 45 seconds, then rest for 15 seconds. There is a timer for each exercise so you are able to go at your own pace.
All exercises in this strength building workout are osteoporosis friendly. There are no moves that involve twisting the spine or rounding the spine. Let's build some strong bones!
I'm using 5 pound weights in this workout. Please use whatever weights you have and are comfortable with. If you have light dumbbells you may go faster than me. Or if you are using heavier dumbbells you may go slower than me.

So glad I found this! I have scoliosis, osteoporosis, a spinal fusion (9 vertebrae) and just had a knee replacement in July. I'm not very flexible right now, so I've been looking for the right program for me. Due to the scoliosis, it's hard for me to do some of the moves, but I love that it isn't rushed or the music isn't booming in the background. I really believe this is something I can stay with.

Well I plan on doing your video every other day, I have osteoporosis so I’m glad I did find your video, I like it much better than any other video I have found. You are so thorough and I need your reminders. I have to say it is a challenge for me, I’m 83 years young. ❤

Loved this one! There were moves I had not done before, and I've done countless workouts. I really liked how much time was taken to do the stretches at the end, too. Oftentimes, that part is too rushed through.

Yes I love how Lauren takes time for the warm up and cool down. I was following another trainer but got tired of her saying be sure to get extra stretching on your own. I need the stretching not bonus moves and she screamed.

I had planned to start this work out a couple of weeks ago but got a bronchial infection and had to stop all of my exercises. But I was finally able to start back today and I loved this video! Had some difficulty with the lunge but modified the best I could and will keep working on it. I’ll be 74 in August and really need some strength training that’s designed for seniors.Thank you so much❣️

Hi Lauren my leg is doing as much spasm when I stand up so I am considering rewinding this twice for 30 minutes tomorrow depending how my leg feels I ended up testing positive for Covid last Tuesday after not being sick in 3 years. My husband had a cold and drank out of my water bottle but he tested negative on Wednesday so I think I was exposed at one of the 2 urgent care centers. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Oh Paula, please take it easy. I hope you're feeling okay. Make sure you allow your body to heal and recover before jumping back into exercise. Or may I suggest some yoga or pilates...
