Former England batsman Marcus Trescothick runs through his approach for facing speed bowling as a left handed batsman. Marcus explains how he deals with the first ball of the over, before getting on his helmet and facing the bowling machine set to 80mph to show how he'd get runs from a fast swing ball.

Watching Marcus Trescothick is always a treat... The most underrated batsmen... The absolute gem of person.. never seen him sledge or had any altercation on field... I can still remember the game in my childhood where he hit a pull shot to Brett Lee for a six without any effort...Such a natural timer of the ball.. god bless him.... Love from India❤️❤️

@@sagarbehera Cook had a slide between 2013- early 2015 where he didnt get a hundred. But 2010-2011 aside, cook was consistently ok-good throughout his whole career. I dont consider Cook to be a great in the same vein as Hayden,Smith,Grenidge, Sehwag.
The uncomfortable truth about Cook is that the reason he had such longevity in his career is that England had no one better to replace him with, as seen by the long list of failed batting partners he had.

Terrific opener. Nowadays right arm around pace angle is very difficult for lefties .Just have to play the line and hope it misses the edge against the new ball especially. Otherwise they can bat out of the ceease, at times kook for disruptive strokes like the reverse sweep or switch hit once in a while.
