New York Times bestselling author Chris Enss discusses Iron Women: The Ladies Who Helped Build the Railroad.
Enss has been writing about women of the Old West for more than twenty years. She has penned more than forty published books on the subject. Her work has been honored with five Will Rogers Medallion Awards, two Elmer Kelton Book Awards, an Oklahoma Center for the Book Award, and two Western Writers of America Spur Finalist awards.
Her books Thunder Over the Prairie and The Death Row All Stars have been optioned by major production companies and are currently in development to become motion pictures. Enss’s most recent works are According to Kate: The Legendary Life of Big Nose Kate Elder, Love of Doc Holliday, No Place for a Woman: The Struggle for Suffrage in the Old West, Iron Women: The Ladies Who Helped Build the Railroad and The Widowed Ones: Beyond the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
Enss is the current president of Western Writers of America, is the co-chair of the Historical Commission in Nevada County, California, and is a licensed private investigator.

I planned on checking out a few minutes of this video before a live stream began elsewhere. it's now an hour later, the live stream's been forgotten and I am stunned how compelling, fact filled and downright entertaining Chris Enss' presentation turned out to be. No notes, no podium just a real pro who finds her work as compelling as we do. Bravo! Ms. Enss, You've inspired a 70 year old easterner in Baltimore to want to learn more about these extraordinary women while I'm still stomping the terra.
