After so many views of my video on the Cannon cooker door problem I thought I'd offer this short review of our new one.
The grill thermocouple packed up so the grill wouldn't stay alight. I looked at fixing it and even started to video it, but alas I decided enough was enough and as we are retiring, thought it was time for a new cooker.
The new Cannon is very similar to the old one and so far we are loving it.

I had the silver version of this model delivered yesterday so I told the gas installer about the gas saving feature as he never heard of it but mine is exactly the same model and it didn't cut out and also hasn't got the light above the cooker control so I called Hotpoint who confirmed that since August 2023 they have removed this gas saving feature on these models obviously cause people were having problems so since then the ovens don't cut the gas out they work like a normal gas oven I only just found that out from Hotpoint, I'm so happy they decided to do away with this feature thankfully 😊👍
Thank you Kevin, that's very interesting indeed! So a couple of questions if you don't mind: Is it exactly the same model number? Do you have to push the button in to light the oven?
My model number is CD67G0CCX I think yours different colour was CD67G0C2CA they are both the same model of cooker but obviously different model numbers they are on the instruction book and with mine it doesn't have the little light above the cooker knob like yours did and yes I have to hold the knob in, turn and hold it in to ignite the oven and mine turns to the left think yours went to the right 😊😊👍👍👍

24.04.23 Update: we reckon this cooker uses a lot less gas than the old one, mainly due to the electronic ignition in the main oven. That said, due to the price of gas we now have a slow cooker which is far cheaper to run.

Update 10.01.2024: we are currently waiting for this cooker to be replaced with a new one! After just 13 months the electronic flame failure device has packed up in the bottom oven and you can't light it manually so that's that!
Luckily we had the care plan and under the ts and Cs if they can't repair it in 7 days we can have a new one. We're waiting for Curry's to get back to us. I will of course report back here.

Update 13.01.24: Today we received an email with an e-gift card for the full amount we paid minus £15. No human contact. I'll make an update video soon as it'll be easier but in the meantime DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE! We have been to look at replacements and guess what - Curry's don't have any Cannon cookers in stock, nor do many other places. I wonder why?? I suspect these are a bad design so are quietly being dropped.
