I just used mine last week. One tip I would add is to do this on a spring type day. I open all the windows to ventilate the house. It can really heat up the house quickly and helps keep the odor down. My oven has a timer of 4 hours and 2o minutes. I absolutely love it!!! Also, a mistake I learned years ago is that you should wipe the ashes down with a dry rag or paper towel after, not a wet one.
I bought my home, came with a self cleaning oven, turned it on, and the insulation from the oven caught on 🔥. I got a new oven and I am currently running the self cleaning cycle but I have honest I am on high alert. Hence why I can here for some reassurance. 🤗
It’s amazing and just how hot the oven gets. I had to take everything off the stove just as a precaution. Also turn on the fan and open the door or window. Also remember to take out the racks in anything inside of course. I had to stop the first time after about 10 minutes because I realized the racks were still in there.
Degree of use = frequency of using self-clean feature, IMHO. After years of owning a self-cleaning oven of one type or other, I've found this feature quite useful in spite of the bit of smoke or smell that can result. I simply turn on the overhead ventilator and go about with my other chores. I run the self-cleaning cycle only once a year and always in the cold of winter so that the heat created is actually a welcome side effect rather than a drain on the A/C unit. BTW... no need to remove the oven's lightbulb. Great vid and thanks a bunch for the info.
@t watts This is true, I've found out the hard way. Once. Now I just point a fan set on low at the control panel area. That reduced the temperature from "too hot to hold your finger on for more than a few seconds" to "barely over room temperature."
Very helpful video. My Miele pyrolytic oven looks as good as new after its clean. The secret is to perform the pyrolytic clean monthly. My electrician told me I wasn’t cleaning it enough ( which was like once a year 🫢) . It was pretty dirty. Cleaning it out gently with a glass scraper got it ready for a proper clean. That’s how I clean the glass too. I’d highly recommend a pyrolytic oven…you won’t believe just how clean the result will be.
Thanks for the tip of applying the paste on the oven glass door AND then leaving it overnight to do its job. I am going to do that today and I also put the same paste on the glass top of the electric stove and will clean it off tomorrow when I clean the inside of the oven and door. My oven comes with specially treated wire racks that can be left inside the oven when the self-cleaning cycle is working. No more soaking the racks in the bathtub! It's a nice feature.
excellent video. I have a Normende self clean oven. It is just 7 months old. I'm keen to keep it in pristine condition. @James Duff, I totally agree. Don't let the oven get too dirty before doing a self clean. I did a test pyrolytic clean around 2 months after purchase. I wasn't really sure what I was doing and was concerned about the smell. Now that I'm more comfortable with the features of the oven I'm giving it another go. My oven has a 1 or 2 hour pyrolytic cycle. I made sure this time to clean the oven out first. just a rinse down with washing up liquid and water and a sponge scourer for some stubborn black specks. To be honest, its not super dirty. Just these annoying black specks which are hard to get off manually. This time I want to get the small black stubborn specks which probably come from grease splashing around the oven during grilling. I have a carbon monoxide detector beside the oven while it is on self clean and I have kept the extractor fan on full and also the windows open. I think it's a great feature to have with an oven. Yes, there is a smell, but it's bearable. The self clean is nearly finished and I can see the annoying black specks turning white. I'm happy. www.appliancesonline.com.au/article/pyrolytic-ovens-buying-guide/ recommend doing a self clean every 10th time you use your oven.
This was very informative! Good to know that your smeg didn't have much more info in their manual as our Samsung. Some friends have mentioned putting a bowl of water in there to steam it. I'm highly averse to doing that because it introduces a foreign item into the environment. But I'd like some insight.
I have a self cleaning over with 2 different modes. # 1 is steam cleaning oven (25 min) I use during summer month or right after i did a big mess in the oven # 2 detail cleaning (4hrs) regular self-cleaning mode. Love the 2 options !!
If you are like most Americans, you will not clean a self cleaning oven by hand before you run it through the self cleaning feature. The self-cleaning feature will take several hours and will spill out an odor that you should ventilate with the exhaust fan and an open window. If your oven is filthy at the start, you can expect the burning odor and even possible flames because the oven will heat to more than 800 degrees F. If flames do appear, immediately turn oven off, and wait until it to cool so you can wipe out any mess before resetting the self cleaning oven feature. You should NOT leave the house after starting this feature because you want to be home in the event of flames. Ventilate your kitchen well from the start of the cycle!
For the window use a dishwasher tablet warm water and rubber gloves. Beware not all tablets work well I use finish ultras and it works really well. And if the grease is particularly burnt on the may require some elbow grease.
I am cleaning my GE true temp oven. I did not have manual and left.two trays and one standalone rack in the. Oven . I placed the dial on clean and pulled the clean lever to the right and locked it. A red light went on as well as the oven light. The clock time was set automatically at 4:00 o’clock and is decrementing Now at 1:23 and still going down. I do not have a fan in my basement. Is it processing correctly or is there a way I can stop the process?
I guess all ovens vary. I have an electric Siemens. I no longer clean the glass door first because you get streaks and also water runs inside the glass and then it's impossible to get it clean unless the glass is removed. I find it cleans up lovely on its own and all I do is wipe some Flash liquid over afterwards. It seems a bit mad that you can't leave the shelving and racks in when you self-clean. It's very frustrating as my sink is not big enough for the shelves and cleaning is not easy. I have never experienced any odours and I have never ventilated the room. It just gets hot, so it's quite nice to do it on a cold winter's day. I just leave it to do it's job. I am not around when it's on. I am wondering about the different levels of heat. My oven has 1, 2 and the highest setting, 3. I always set it at 3, but wonder if I cleaned more frequently and set it at 1 I could leave the shelves and racks in or does it get to the same temperature, but for less time? What does it do to the shelves and racks?
I just bought a house with a self cleaning oven but I don't think anyone has EVER cleaned it so I'm afraid to do the self clean...any advice...should I try a conventional clean first?
No. Use the self-cleaning oven. My first place was the same as yours. The first self-cleaning oven was perfect and saved tons of time, mess, and headache.
I agree same here...I bought a new stove but never used the self cleaning till 3yrs later and omg I love it!!! Just be aware just in case you do have an emergency
Thank you for sharing your do’s and don’t’s with regard to self cleaning ovens. I was curious, did you notice if the first meal you baked after took on some of the odor of the cleaning process?
Is it actually better to use chemically based product instead? The odors and heat drove me straight into this question. It’s the middle of summer, air conditioner is obviously expensive, running God knows how many electrons with the heat at 400 on top of the AC on: It just seems like we’re speeding up the dials on the electric meter. Which ironically uses up a tiny bit of energy. And lastly the politicians are screaming about global change. By the way, I absolutely love the accent. Been to London about three times or so and strangely enough I wasn’t overwhelmed by the people speaking. Very polite for the most part and lovely humans to be around. Cheers, Bill. Oh yeah, if you’re from Australia, same. One last thing. You meant to say 400 to 500 degrees Celsius? Ouch
Will it automatically Stop or do you have to stop before wiping it out . how long it runs / heats during to self cleaning process. I always had one but wasn't sure how theself cleaning works. Always use my hand with oven cleaner. Since I'm disable it hard now ( scrubbing) Thanks for sharing a fast & well explained video.
I mistakenly turned my self cleaning process on and left my oven liners in the bottom. There is a white something all over the oven and it is not coming off. I am wondering if I can use it or if it will toxic fumes
I would like to know how you go about washing it. I never did it Washington. I don't know what things that you use. To wash the inside the oven to make it clean. Before you put that soft, clean, soft, clean level over
I used my self cleaning option quite regularly. After about 3 years my electric elements inside were destroyed. One was completely warped and the other fell apart in pieces. The repair man said that the temp is too high for the material the burners were made out of and that's why it happened. I have since changed to a gas range instead of electric and will wipe it clean after each use. I will not use the self cleaning option any more. Just beware and keep an eye on your burners.
I use Astonish cleaning paste (the original formula not the orange paste). Rub it on with a wet dish cloth and wipe it off. You don't have to leave it on overnight or any other faffing about.
Uggg.. for the first time on my new oven this year I used the self-clean process and I did not remove the racks and I didn't remove the silicone rack protectors.. big huge mistake and I'm still trying to figure out how to clean up the magnetic white ash.. because a paper towel or a cloth that has been dampened with water will actually not wipe it up.. and I just don't know what to do and can't afford to go out and purchase another new stove oven combo..
Thank you for the video. Wish I had seen it before I used the cleaning cycle. Sadly sprayed mr muscle just before. Theres alot of white residue that looks like limescale but isnt. It disappears when a bit of water is splashed on but returns quickly when it dries. Any advice on what this is and how I can return my self cleaning oven to the matte black finish? Would enamel liquid help? I'm really gutted and any advice would be super appreciated
@@GeorginaBisbyDIY I'm afraid Mr Muscle is a very high proportion of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), one of the things which will etch glass, and that's really all the enamel finish of the oven is. The surface is damaged, but others might have suggestions as to what might make it look better; problem is; it has to be a solution that can withstand further treatments of pyrolytic temperatures. :(
It will not. Just damp a fabric towel remove the dirt that can burn or vacuum the inside and then go to self clean. It will smell so you need like this bideo said open a windoyif needed.
I’ve had a car for 4 years but I’ve never turned it on. I’m frightened it will catch fire, what with the flammable gasoline and combustion engine and all...
@@debbievidal9536 well that depends on you, doesn’t it Deborah? These ovens are designed to do this. If it has a self-cleaning feature, it’s because it was designed to handle those temperatures. Being scared of it is like being scared that your car, which I bet you use damn near every day, is going to explode because it has gas and an engine. It’s a dumb thing to be afraid of
How were you sure your bottom tray was ok to leave in? We have one that we just can’t scrub clean but my roommate is anxious to leave it in during the pyroletic cleaning!
I just started the cycle two hrs ago.Timer says one hour left.Oven is dirty from me over filling a lasagna dish.Smell was bad open door bad, for the first hour but nothing now.Sure hope the darn thing doesn't start on fire.I didn't know that was a thing.I also didn't know you weren't supposed to use conventional cleaners on a self cleaning oven.Well no smoke and the smell is gone.Think I'm all good only 45min left.
Hi, I have a Maytag self cleaning oven, I used easy off like 4 months ago and I scrub the inside of the oven, I scratched the inside of oven, now I just realized there is a self clean oven feature, can I use it now? I have a Maytag oven. I’m scared to use it since I use an easy off like 4 months ago
Hi! Your video is very informative. I love it. However I do have a question that I can’t seem to find the answer to. So I had my oven for 5 years now and my hubby was worried how we’re gonna get rid of the greased that he had spilled from a broiler tray that was in the oven that we think might of spilled into where the fire is. So I decided to use the self cleaning button and now my House is filled with smoke and had to use to another fan to help with the fire detectors going off. So my question is, is it normal and safe to have this much smoke from an oven not being for 5 years? 😂 I have the windows open to help too. My fan vent sucks by the way. 😂 Any advice for the future would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced. ☺️
I have a problem with temperature while I’m cooking!! So I set temperature at 350f when I put the food in the oven temperature it go down to 300f and it take time about 15 minutes to go back to 350f , I got 2 oven thermometer inside!! Is it normal ?? Because I contract Samsung they said it’s normal!
This is a late comment, but make sure when you transfer the food in the oven, you’re not opening the oven door wide open and leaving it open. The heat escapes, and your oven will quickly cool. The oven thermometer can sometimes be dodgy, but the fact that you have two separate thermometers must be accurate. I don’t understand why it would take 15 min to increase 50 degrees, maybe your oven is old?
We have a kitchen Aid and they claim that is the way they work. Takes forever to preheat also. Looking into a new brand and they said that Kitchen Aid (Whirlpool family of appliances) doesn't have a lot of insulation in them as they only have steam clean and do not need it. Another way to cut corners.
Interesting that self-cleaning ovens still make folks nervous in UK. We lived there from 2002 to abt 2011. We were surprised to find self-cleaning ovens almost unknown in the Highlands. They were about as common in Highland Scotland as were garbage disposals and large fridge freezers! Yet Brit adults and youngsters were more keen to own mobile phones than were Americans then. British telly taught us about and induction cooktops (hobs) and underfloor heating though. Brilliant way to cook and keep warm. And darn it! Induction hobs are still not well accepted here. We are close to being ready to renew our 1970s kitchen soon. Can’t find induction hobs in builder and appliance stores. Merchants stopped featuring them because customers wouldn’t buy them. Further, American induction cooktop makers don’t get the reliable ratings European manufacturers earn. Back to my surprise that self-cleaning ovens are considered dangerous in UK. Just the opposite here in USA. Buyers expect ovens to be self-cleaning. My first such oven was about 1974. Our present oldish home built in 1972 still has its original self-cleaning wall oven. Bless it’s electronics. It cleans as well in 2020 as it did in 1972. It goes from black and crusty to wipe away gray ash every time with zero concern about going to bed or going out while it cleans. Funny how we are all so much alike yet still tend to differ as to firmly set cultural beliefs. I thought it odd to find switches on all our electrical outlets in Scotland and to heat with kerosene instead of natural gas. We lived in Tain where the community turned down the opportunity to switch to public natural gas because the city father’s believed natural gas extremely dangerous. While here in USA Americans are fearful of induction cooktops and most of us get suckered into buying a secondary ($$) foundation under our mattresses instead of relying on bed rails alone. Brits pay a tv tax and insist on annual Auto MOTs. But the quality of BBC programs are worth every penny of the telly tax. And Americans should have full MOT requirements instead of just requiring an emissions test every couple years. You have a great NHS system. We have private health insurance costing families over $1,000 monthly plus deductibles, out of pocket RX costs and medical visit copays. Living in both countries has been a privilege as well as an education. Thanks for your video setting viewers straight on the benefits of self-cleaning ovens. BTW your Google British Home device has a more pleasant demeanor than the American version we bought. We stopped using ours because Amazon’s Alexa is much more cordial and upbeat. Alexa here is kept in English voice because we miss the dialects we came to love. Sorry for the long long ramble.
Don't apologise - thank you for your insights. One of the things I love most about UA-cam is the opportunity to learn how different countries and cultures approach the same issues. I had reservations about induction hobs but once I got into the research I realised it was totally irrational. Change is what we fear most.
i cleaned out my oven with baking soda and vinegar, wiped it all away, but is it safe to have self clean on after? are those two cleaning ingredients considered chemicals? Im very much looking forward to not setting my oven on fire
Hi Georgina. I have exactly the same oven as you. I saw that you leave the shelves in as they are of the same material. That's good. However you do need to leave in the supports and telescopic runners. Any problems with these after the clean?
After using my self cleaning oven, It looked great except it left a2 white streaks across the bottom of the oven. Not ash it is dry and into the porcelain.
I wouldn't say that it could be for people who works all the time and don't be home a lot. But yeah I prefer to clean it your self the smoke and smell all over the home/apartment
i put on for self clean .. it took 2 hr.. now i had put it turn off my self ... so i have qst ..” should i put it turn off my self or it gets turn off itself” plz let me knw if anyone there
Perfect Video, thanks. How do you clean the glass section? Audio was a little muddy there (get it?). Just kidding but seriously, what do you leave on the glass overnight? Appreciate it
If you are using chemicals, you are doing it wrong. Water is the only thing you need. Baking soda for glass AFTER self clean if needed. That's it. It will stay brand new if you clean it every month. Ovens need maintenance too.
@avalisme it would be a damn if you do and damn if you don't thing but the easy off is much safer in terms of lease damages to use When the oven is heated up to extreme temperature which can create damages situation if the unit is flawed And also the self cleaning creates dangerous fumes. Self-cleaning ovens can produce and emit dangerous fumes into the air with an unpleasant burning smell. Self-cleaning ovens reach high temperatures and produce fumes from the burning of food particles and enamel lining. These fumes circulate within the indoor air and can affect the home occupants.
We're not all backwards in the Highlands 😉 have a catalytic oven myself 🙂 would have loved one of these though - sadly couldn't find a free standing one
Self cleaning destroyed my double ovens..GE. Had to buy new doubles ( wish I had single as replacements would cost less). New installation guy said self cleaning ovens keep them in business. Afraid to try self cleaning on new ovens. Googling how to clean self cleaning by hand…not with self cleaning features. I was unaware you could get new ovens without self cleaning features.
Oh no! We havent had a problem but I'm not surprised people do given how little guidance there seems to be from the manufacturers about how to complete the process safely and effectively.
I just tried cleaning my oven after making the Thanksgiving turkey last week. I regret it so much. I have all windows and doors opened and the house smells disgusting. I turned off the cleaning cycle just 20 minutes into it. I’m currently sitting outside on my porch in the cold because the house smells disgusting and the fumes are irritating my eyes.
My oven is a Samsung, top of the line, my son has a top of the line GE, both had the same problem, both ovens locked after the 1st time use. The lock system is shot. The service guy said never use the self cleaning on a holiday, the service guy agreed, sad, when you spend so much money on a stove, you should be able to use the self cleaning any time you wish. I had a cheaper oven and you could use it every day with no problem. So be careful… Be very careful if you are having company
I truly hope this NEVER happens to any one else! My range was less than 1 year... I started the self cleaning process and never read do nit cook or use burners WHILE SELF CLEANING THE OVEN! The error code blinked but I didn't understand. It went away as soon as it appeared. The next day Cf2 appeared on my screen..and is still there! It is in None if my Manuel's! I have a Samsung Smart things stive...its almost Thanksgiving! I'm horrified..called where I bought it and they said I'm not in the system! Double horrified! Can't find my receipt from purchase only mybmanuels!!!! Help I can't use myboven!!!
Love your "trays" there in the UK. Hate the racks we have in the US. We just bought a used stove & it looked brand new except for the very dirty oven. It had obviously never been cleaned. So we did the self clean today. It cleaned for over 4 hours. We did have our windows open btw. Definitely smelled, but tolerable. Here's the thing tho. It burnt stains into the plastic part which is at the top part of door where handle attaches!!! We tried everything we could think of to get the stains off but it honestly seems burnt on. It's yellowed, even light brown! Seems like quite a bad manufacturing decision. Extremely irritating to say the least..
It seems like it’s not worth using the self cleaning option. You basically clean it before and after using it. And it created such a bad smell and it’s a potential danger
Don't use a chemical oven cleaner on self-cleaning areas as it will destroy the self-cleaning function. Follow the maker's instructions for cleaning your oven.

Thanks for the tips. Great video!
My self-cleaning oven works well, except where the oven door meets the bottom of the oven. This is where most of the spills occur, for some reason.
Before you put that soft, clean, soft, clean level over
Great tips! 😁👌🏻Thank you sooo much! 💐
Glad it was helpful! 😀
You can also find the circuit breaker before the self-cleaning, in case of an emergency.
How annoying for you but thanks for sharing! How regularly did you use it?

I use Astonish cleaning paste (the original formula not the orange paste). Rub it on with a wet dish cloth and wipe it off. You don't have to leave it on overnight or any other faffing about.
Thanks! this was so helpful
I'm so glad!
Uggg.. for the first time on my new oven this year I used the self-clean process and I did not remove the racks and I didn't remove the silicone rack protectors.. big huge mistake and I'm still trying to figure out how to clean up the magnetic white ash.. because a paper towel or a cloth that has been dampened with water will actually not wipe it up.. and I just don't know what to do and can't afford to go out and purchase another new stove oven combo..
Oh no, that's a shame! Difficult to say without seeing it - maybe worth contacting the manufacturer for some advice.
I couldn’t take the smell! I had to turn it off. But this was a great vid. I will try again another day
It is quite overwhelming if you don't ventilate enough. Glad you found it useful. 😀

My oven isn't really very dirty but I've never used the self cleaning function in 4 yrs. I'm frightened it will catch fire
It will not. Just damp a fabric towel remove the dirt that can burn or vacuum the inside and then go to self clean. It will smell so you need like this bideo said open a windoyif needed.
me too
I’ve had a car for 4 years but I’ve never turned it on. I’m frightened it will catch fire, what with the flammable gasoline and combustion engine and all...
@@colejames423 not really very helpful.
Absolutely, you can. I did the same thing. Works like magic.
So I decided to use the self cleaning button and now my
House is filled with smoke and had to use to another fan to help with the fire detectors going off. So my question is, is it normal and safe to have this much smoke from an oven not being for 5 years? 😂 I have the windows open to help too. My fan vent sucks by the way. 😂 Any advice for the future would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced. ☺️
I accidentally left my oven racks in the oven while self cleaning. Now, they're damaged. Any tips on how to restore them?
I have done the same. Will try in the dishwasher. If not with Astonish paste but believe dish washer will help
Is it normal for the oven to flame up while doing the self cleaning process?
I tried to do this and it caught fire 😅 I’m scared to ever use the self clean cycle again
Same here, I have put some bicarbonate soda and hope all goes for the best
Interesting that self-cleaning ovens still make folks nervous in UK. We lived there from 2002 to abt 2011. We were surprised to find self-cleaning ovens almost unknown in the Highlands. They were about as common in Highland Scotland as were garbage disposals and large fridge freezers! Yet Brit adults and youngsters were more keen to own mobile phones than were Americans then. British telly taught us about and induction cooktops (hobs) and
underfloor heating though. Funny how we are all so
much alike yet still tend to differ as to firmly set cultural beliefs. I thought it odd to find switches on all our electrical outlets in Scotland and to heat with kerosene instead of natural gas. We lived in Tain where the community turned down the opportunity to switch to public natural
gas because the city father’s believed natural gas extremely dangerous. Thanks for your video
setting viewers straight on the benefits of self-cleaning ovens. BTW your Google British Home device has a more pleasant demeanor than the American version we bought. We stopped using ours because Amazon’s Alexa is much more cordial and upbeat. Alexa here is kept in English voice because we miss the dialects we came to love. Sorry for
the long long ramble.
Don't apologise - thank you for your insights. One of the things I love most about UA-cam is the opportunity to learn how different countries and cultures approach the same issues. I had reservations about induction hobs but once I got into the research I realised it was totally irrational. Change is what we fear most.
I used degreaser to clean out the grease in the oven can I still use the oven cleaner
I would contact your manufacturer to check
i cleaned out my oven with baking soda and vinegar, wiped it all away, but is it safe to have self clean on after? are those two cleaning ingredients considered chemicals? Im very much looking forward to not setting my oven on fire
Hi Georgina. I have exactly the same oven as you. I saw that you leave the shelves in as they are of the same material. That's good. However you do need to leave in the supports and telescopic runners. Any problems with these after the clean?
No not so far John

After using my self cleaning oven, It looked great except it left a2 white streaks across the bottom of the oven. Not ash it is dry and into the porcelain.
how can I turn off the self cleaning mode once it has begun?
So Step 1 for self cleaning oven is to clean the oven yourself 😂
🤣
Exactly 😂😂😂the minute I heard this I got scared😂😂😂😂

You are so right...this is for lazy people
I wouldn't say that it could be for people who works all the time and don't be home a lot. But yeah I prefer to clean it your self the smoke and smell all over the home/apartment
What can I clean my self cleaning ovens with,,the self cleaning is not working. Its GE and is 13; years old
Are you supposed to remove the metal racks before you use the self cleaning feature of the oven?
Depends on the oven - best to check manufacturers instructions
Yes. Remove them and any other objects.
Does the self clean oven turn itsf off when cool.
Yes ours does
i put on for self clean .. it took 2 hr.. now i had put it turn off my self ...
so i have qst ..” should i put it turn off my self or it gets turn off itself”

Perfect Video, thanks. How do you clean the glass section? Audio was a little muddy there (get it?). Just kidding but seriously, what do you leave on the glass overnight? Appreciate it
Bicarbonate soda and water to create a paste and leave it over night. A small tip though, that can be messy, so be careful with how much you use.
Use glass cooktop cleaner. Spread a layer on the glass and then use a razor blade at a 45 degree angle to scrape everything off. Buff with a towel.
I done it once and the glass door shattered so cleaned it manually ever since as glass expensive to replace
Thank-you!
If you are using chemicals, you are doing it wrong. Water is the only thing you need. Baking soda for glass AFTER self clean if needed. That's it. It will stay brand new if you clean it every month. Ovens need maintenance too.
Does it clean the top glass??
EXCELLENT!
Easy off wait a couple hours wipe and rinse the end,
No fires and you ain't heating up your house.
EASY OFF !
@avalisme it would be a damn if you do and damn if you don't thing but the easy off is much safer in terms of lease damages to use
When the oven is heated up to extreme temperature which can create damages situation if the unit is flawed
And also the self cleaning creates dangerous fumes.
Well, I’m thinking I did this completely wrong, I sprayed easy off before running the self cleaning cycle 🤔
What do you do if your self cleaning oven catches on fire and it's locked?
Go back in time and clean out the big pieces of food that you were supposed to. That or call the fire department.
@@IcyMidnight good thing I have a time machine 😎
If you buy a good brand, nothing will catch fire
@@zanussi_fan Lol just because it's a good brand means nothing.

What if you cancel the self clean and the clean latch is locked/won’t open?
I would contact the manufacturer 😀
Allow it to cool down.
So be careful…
Be very careful if you are having company
My oven caught a lot of smoking and a big fire while self cleaning. I was scared, so I turned it off.
Has anyone had any issues putting the racks back in the oven after the self cleaning process??
Do you mean in terms of fitting them?
I thought she was gonna Say 400-500 Degrees Fahrenheit, which is a normal cooking Temp. anyway. I am guessing 500 Celsius would be much higher.
I left a baking dish in my oven!!! OH MY GOD!! I’m nervous!! What’s gonna happen??
Boom, ur house gone
Did your oven survive???
Should a self cleaning even smoke excessively?
Don't self cleaning ovens leave a bad smell?
That's annoying - it doesn't seem to be a perfect solution unfortunately! Hopefully you can get some feedback from the manufacturer.
Jolly Good!
This oven isn't so dirty so you can't see if it turn it in ash.
So, if your oven’s dirty. Don’t use it
It seems like it’s not worth using the self cleaning option. You basically clean it before and after using it. And it created such a bad smell and it’s a potential danger
I’m just learning about this as well & I swear your comment has got to be hands down the absolute best advice thus far..
