This is so cool to see, as a first electrical engineering student myself at UoFT I could say that UBC is top notch in terms of their engineering program. Was actually thinking about transferring to UBC these videos have sure have been informative.
He's back. Good luck on ELEC 311. That class is equivalent to EE 140 where I went to and is notorious for being of the toughest classes. Plane waves, Polarizations, Lossy Medium, normal incidence and transmission lines are all covered.
Thanks for the insight! We just had another quiz; this time on uniform plane waves and plane wave reflection/dispersion (I have no idea how well I did on it 💀)
Bro I am 1st year EE student in India, my academics really sucks 😞 please give me some advice.I got depressed and frustrated rather than enjoying Electrical engineering.
Love your videos, always interesting to see what the elec discipline gets up to! Also, would love to see a video on elec 341 with stocco. As an IGEN student, I'm still trying to decide who I want to do controls with and he seems to be a very polarizing man.
Thanks for watching! I'll see what I can do during winter break, because I was planning on making the 341 video during the summer. But if I find there's enough demand for it, I can fast-track it!
Hi Avery! First of all, congratulations on nailing that interview! I was curious what kind of questions did they ask during the interview, and how did you prepare for it? I’m currently looking for my first engineering internship, and I could really use some advice. Here in France, where I study, we don't get much guidance on preparing for future interviews, so any tips would be super helpful!
As mentioned in the video, most of the questions were behavioural (e.g. "Tell me about a time when you did not finish something", or "Tell me about a time when you had to change directions in a project due to stakeholder feedback", or "Tell me about a time where you improved a process"). My co-op advisor recommended I prepare by looking through the job description to see what the responsibilities were and the qualifications, and think of what questions they could ask you based on what's in the job description. Also, doing just a little bit of research on the company and having an answer for what drew you to this particular company/position will go a long way (I should've done this more, honestly). Hope that helps!
I met my friends circumstantially. Most of the time, they would be working on the same thing that I would be working on, and we would just start talking with each other and hanging out together. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to someone who's sitting near you in class or someone who you've seen in your cohort!
Electrical or computer engineering could be a good fit, but I would highly recommend talking to a career advisor, upper year students, or alumni who are working in the field.
THE GOAT IS BACK 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Remember why you chose electrical engineering in the first place. Yes, it is difficult, but academics aren't everything and it will get better!
@AveryCheng thankyou brother

already graduated but back then I had a similar class to elex 341 control system class, I remember, that was the shit 😂
Control systems is pretty cool!
W shoutout 25:40 😭
Thanks for the answers, bud 🫡
How has the hp spectre been treating you so far. Been thinking of getting one
I've really been enjoying it so far! Everything is quite solid and there haven't been any major problems (*knock on wood*)
and it's all over my screen
Wtf 😭
Hey did you fail any courses from last year?
Thankfully, I did not, but I certainly came close to failing some!
What is the model number of your calculator please tell me I am also interested in engineering
Please

I plan on going into electrical engineering next year.. I just wanna build cool stuff, whats with all this math.
