I don't remember any BM reaction from you but I'm glad to see more old BM fans and reactors coming back, especially after recents news coming back past weekend to this same venue Makuhari Messe, almost two years since last performance and three years from latest live at this venue. Just wait to see all the epicness on those shows with new songs and more announcement, BM magic and awesomeness is still there to give us a lot more.

Thanks for sharing this special version of Headbanger!! made by YuppeMetal aka Yuyoyuppe, you'll see his hand behind other BM songs, he also got another remix under an alternative name called DJ Tekina, song is Megitsune'.
They performed this song prior to this live at "Legend D" 2012 celebrating SuMetal 15 birthday.
The intro Ave Maria was also performed during previous live at Legend 1999 Yui and MoaMetal 14th Birthday, so that song works as a bridge between them with the live at Legend 1997.
If you look closely the statue's face is resembling a Japanese face which is why we consider is SuMetal, plus is related to the lore because at the end the statue is crumbling down representing her "virgin" Jpop idol form death while she reborn into a metal goddess queen.
The dancers you saw with them are called sister-bones, they usually performed live during this special songs and Black Babymetal songs.
There are more special Headbanger!! version like the live at Legend M 2019 MoaMetal 20th Birthday also called by fans "Moabanger", or live at Legend Metal Galaxy Day 2, another notacult moment.

BABYMETAL know how to put on a spectacle when they do their concerts. Yes this was at the Legend 1997 concert - it was the big opening number with Schubert's 'Ave Maria' complete with Yui and Moa making an offering of neck braces to the Mary/Metal Goddess statue followed by the full dance version of 'Headbanger' - or to give it its proper title 'Headbanger Night of 15 Remix'.
They first did this version a year before at the Legend D concert celebrating Su-metal's 15th birthday and revived it here for her 16th.
Legend 1997 was all about BABYMETAL transitioning from being a sub-unit of a JPop Idol group (Sakura Gakuin) to becoming an independent band in the own right - this concert was the last step in that separation. It started here with an entirely blatantly lip-synced dance performance (make the most of it, you never normally get to see Su-metal lip syncing) representing the Idol scene and as the concert progressed it told a story and they became more metal, the Kami Band came on to play live for the 5 encore songs and finally Su-metal sacrificed her existence as a JPop Idol to be reborn as a Metal Goddess.
Yes you would need to watch the entire concert to get what I'm talking about.

You, definitely, should watch some complete concerts. And "Legend 1997" is one of the greatest single shows BABYMETAL ever played!
