Chestnut mushrooms are my favorite for sautéing in garlic, butter or olive oil and spices and the poured on my pasta. With a lot of pecorino Romano cheese.

Oyster is all I've really grown but I would LOVE to learn Shitake, but other growers have made them sound so fussy and difficult to grow. You give me hope. Man I love your videos and I'm thoroughly impressed with your knowledge and setup....would you do something where someone could volunteer their time to work there and you would teach them the basics?
Great video! i'M FROM Argentina, are your bags 10 pounds and 60% water? I am having trouble pinning consistently and was wondering if the temperature could be a problem, i live in an arid climate so there's is a lot of temp variation around 23C(73F) day and maybe 19(66F) night and i'm growing p.pulmonarius and p.djamor, is my temperature adequate?
@@ScreamSheLovesMeNot Actually my pinks fruit fine but they start pinning in the bag before going in the fruiting room so i don't think it counts, so far i haven't gotten a second flush from them and it's been almost 2 weeks which worries me because i think the norm for subsequent flushes is around 10 days. My real concerns is for my p.pulmonarius, very few have fruited, like 10% and it's been almost a month for some.
@@troydroberts88 My guess at least 85% can't be really sure because i don't trust my cheap hydrometers and arduino sensors, they get saturated and stuck at 99%, Inside feels very humid and there is a very slight fog, water condensates on the bags quite a bit and a few bags that i tried to top fruit slowly fill with water despite my fogging nozzle (that works with compressed air) being nowhere near it.

Hello Mike from Ireland. I'm a big fan of your videos. I am hoping to ask you a question about the hydro tents you use. Do you have water run onto the floor from condensation on the walls of the tent due to the high humidity environment? Or are the tent floors also waterproof and not just reliant on the WP floor insert that usually comes with hydro tents? Thanks for all your inspirational videos
Pretty sure you could, but you wouldn't want to. The subsequent flushes reduce in yield partially because the nutrients are consumed by the mycelium and used in making mushrooms. The block itself would not have very much nutrition left, so if you did this and got it to fully colonize, you wouldn't get very many mushrooms from it.
