Exactly. Guy is smart and driven obviously, but growing mushrooms is not that hard. They just want to make it seem that way. I've never done anything on a scale like this man, but I've had many successful mono tubs for my magic mushrooms. Anyone with a little time and patience can do it. Going to start doing Oyster and Shitake pretty soon, myself.

Yeah those are Pioppino/chestnut mushrooms (Cyclocybe aegerita) not Psilocybe mushrooms... please be more informed before you spread information that could get innocent people in trouble

The problem is not their intelligence (How did you measure it by the way?) but that their quirks and way of presenting were not up to snuff for you. In addition I'd rather look at it from the point of view that this was a video that was presented that may have been done by far better hosts but weren't and so I make do with what I was given. You didn't help create the idea, sell it to the producers or executives and do all the nitty gritty work to get this done. Appreciate what you have instead of having the time to bitch about what it could have been. Have you no idea the amount of behind the scenes work that is needed to put this together? You really need to ask harder hitting questions. For example - does growing mushrooms in grain impact their nutrition profile vs growing the way they often naturally do in wood or soil?
That is why he is growing them in oak saw dust.
Depends on the species you're growing. Some need wood some need grain etc.
But it’s soo sterile
You can also grow them from soaked hay.
This would have been a great video if weren't for all the hosts who knew nothing and really dug into not knowing anything. The mushroom guy was amazing tho.
He has a great UA-cam channel and is very knowledgeable and interesting.

Please, there are so many well spoken mushroom and cultivation experts, find someone who can make the viewer feel met in some way - these tarts make farming seem like they need to use the word sciencey - and that just alienates people who haven’t fallen prey to consumer American comatose.

Hey cognitive, I hope you realize this style of “mini documentary” has become a popular trend. They scope out obscure careers/lifestyles and get 7s and above to run the course, laughing and giggling all the while. They’ll act very surprised and curious, all for us to inspect. It gets views. Younger people are vapid creatures. So I say, become red pilled. It’s better than this garbage.

Mushrooms are so fascinating. I only know of the grocery store varieties. Come to find out there are countless types and each of them looks so crazy different.

I got hooked on watching all of his chill tutorials on mushroom growing. It makes it easier to remember, and it seems like something anyone can do. But if you watch other peoples vids on growing mushrooms, they make it seem like you have to be very very smart . Lol

I used to go mushroom "hunting" and knew the different forest ones i could and could not eat.. i love mushrooms because of the hunting i did as a kid learning all the types of forest ones.. however it seems he has a few i never saw before.. Man maybe i need to learn like he did and start a grower.

Look like a coral reef! I wish we had something like that here up in wetern Canada. We have mushrooms farmers but they sell to the stores.
if you're near the coast we have tons of native wild species that are delicious.. and free
