You two are just wonderful Hollis! I just discovered your videos, and I think it's great that you two are not only urban homesteaders, but Christians too! Praise God that I found you. Can you plant your garden without using a lot of money? I notice you have all sorts of items you use in your garden, like drying racks, five gallon buckets, assorted areas where you've built raised up areas where you put your potatoes in the buckets. Please, tell me that it doesn't cost too much. My husband and I really would love our garden to do well, but we don't have a lot of money. Anything you can tell us with regards to planting a garden on the cheap would really help.
There is an initial investment as with anything. That is why when I do build something, I build it to last. We don’t have a lot of money either. We have to build a little at the time. Other channels just mention for example cure in xyz location and end their video there. You wait until the next stage actually occurs in the garden, then continue the video with actual demonstrations at each stage.
It takes a lot longer to get the video done, but it is so much more helpful to see your demonstrations, than listen to a talking head explain what to do next without showing it.

New sub here🤩. I subbed because you, sir, remind me soooo much of my late father and his teaching us as kids on the farm. Enjoyed watching you and will peruse your channel for more content. I went back to my roots of growing and sourcing our own food 8 years ago and often visit gardening channels to refresh my memory a bit or possibly learn something new.
Most importantly how you closed your video made me cry as that is EXACTLY what my daddy used to say anytime we worked in our acre garden growing up. Many blessings 🥰

We are working on Florida videos now. They are progression videos so it will take several months to complete. In the meantime we will be releasing new videos we recorded in Virginia. Definitely keeping an eye out for snakes. The dangerous ones are near lakes and streams. All we have are harmless yard snakes ❤️

I’ve been eagerly watching all of your videos! Just wanted to say you bring me back to my southern childhood. My dad was an amazing gardener and i garden also. My reason for writing is i think you’re a frustrated architect with a precise and perfection oriented mind. It’s great.
That's a great harvest. I always learn so much from you. I am sad, we are moving so I won't be gardening this Spring and summer. God willing, we will be in our new homestead by June.

I followed your Walla Walla onions instructions about ringing (loosening up the soil) around my Maui onions and in just shy of a week there's has been very noticeable growth in the bulb! Thank you Hollis and Nancy!

thank you sir.. I pulled a couple of my onions that were getting large and i have been wondering the best way to deal with the full harvest I will have in a couple weeks... I will be giving away some of my onions, canning some in soup and tomato sauce... and also be dehydrating some for use late in the winter. God bless you and your family.
