    Coffee grounds are also excellent for removing odors from hands. I have sensitivity to a lot of fragrances, and sometimes if I wash my hands while away from home, the soap fragrance can give me an allergic reaction or an asthma attack. If that does happen, as soon as I can, I find some used coffee grounds and "wash" my hands with the coffee grounds and it removes the fragrance from my hands. With realky strong smelling stuff, I may have to repeat it up to 3 times, but after the 4th time, it has always worked. I figured it out one time when my friend put some lotion on and touched my hands right afterwards, I was desperate to get that fragrance off my hands because my throat started swelling up, not just an asthma attack, but full on anaphylactic reaction! So coffee grounds are great. But they have to have been USED to make coffee for some reason, I guess heating the coffee beans up in the microwave replaces that step.

    I have one of those choppers and I love it ❤ If you need a lot of veggies chopped, this cuts down your prep time at least in half. As to ripening an avocado, don't waste a banana. Just let it sit in a warm place for a day or so and it will soften. Paper bag in a sunny window works.

    Coffee is the BEST odor remover. My sister had a problem. A few days after she and her husband came home from vacation she realized (by the smell) that a dozen eggs had slipped under the car seat and the 90 degree heat did the rest. She was at her wit's end. She tried everything she could find and had three "professional" cleanings but still you could barely sit in the car it smelled so bad. So she called me. I told her to take an empty butter container, poke a few holes in the lid, fill halfway with unbrewed coffee and put one under each seat. Three days later, the smell was gone; she noticed a difference after one day.

    Mushrooms absorb moisture very quickly. It's far better to 'dust' any particles off, or gently wipe with the top end of the stalk. Besides, a little dirt hurt no-one.
    Not all air-fryers have a defrost function.

    • @WebspoonWorld
      @WebspoonWorld  10 днів тому

      Great mushroom tip-keeping them dry and delicious! 🍄👌

    • @jsliszt
      @jsliszt 8 днів тому

      The "dirt" on the outside of mushrooms is their substrate, mushroom compost; it contains rotted horse or chicken manure.
      Mushrooms do NOT absorb water easily; they work like human flesh, which resists water logging.
      Any fine dish in any fine restaurant will have pristine cleaned mushrooms.
      Don't eat chicken $hi7!!! Wash your shrooms!
      And yes, bacteria on the outside of mushrooms and vegetables can kill you.

    Cheaper odor hack….put a couple of tablespoons of activated charcoal in a bowl in your refrigerator. Replace every 6 months. The charcoal is found in the fish part of the store or at pet stores. The charcoal holds like 50 times its weight in odors and debris.
    To make surfaces resistant to fingerprints…..clean first with alcohol. Then use paste car wax on the surfaces. Apply a thin layer. Let it dry. Buff off. This works really well in your bathroom on tile, shower doors, and chrome.

    First, you can't use a rinse aid on a countertop because it's poisonous. There is a huge lawsuit going on right now against the original makers of a rinse aid because it's a leaves a chemical imbalance on your plates and dishes which you ingest which is poisonous for you in the long run think microplastics.
    Second, if you add water to an air fryer basket and makes the dough soggy, which nobody wants what's the matter with you?
    Your wrap idea is extremely unintelligent. The real way to do it is fold everything in quarters and then stick it into a standing toaster and pushed down, that way there is nothing left open and able to fall out and it's cooked evenly through the whole thing.
    I would not call this video anything about hacks or tricks because everything you have done has made it harder to do.
    Example is the tin can and toilet paper roll. The paint is always pricey and a lot of work is done to make this happen. Therefore...it's no longer a trick or a hack .....but an inconvenience.
    Shame. Shame

      Why so critical? It's one thing to inform us of a danger, but it would be better received if said in a nice way. You put down everything.
      If that rinse is so dangerous, it shouldn't still be on the shelves.
      I don't own a toaster, but I do have a waffle maker. I liked his idea.
      I also freshen dried bread leftovers by using a very small amount of water like he did the pizza. Too much water, yes, it can get soggy, but you figure it out quick.
      You don't sound like the type to be frugal or creative with what you have. If not, why are you watching his videos? Move on to one that you do enjoy and leave the guy alone.
      We enjoy watching him. Not everyone has the money to have fancy things and gadgets, so it's nice to get different ideas.
      Many people nowadays don't like to waste anything. As far as spraying the can with paint, there are people who have partial cans of spray paint in their garage after they were used for something else. These can be organized, too. It's a good way to use up leftovers. It didn't take much.
      I can't afford kleenex, so it makes tp look better when sitting on a counter.
      But then there are wasteful people who have to keep everything in perfect order so they keep nothing and throw leftovers away. They waste a lot.
      These people won't like the little craft ideas as they'll never have the things to do them.
      The rest of us enjoy using everything and cutting back on waste.
      I made a tp holder like that, and everyone liked it. Some asked me to make them one.
      Smaller cans and a partial roll of tp can be used to make ones that will sit in car cup holders. They are nice when you travel.
      We make things like that to be creative and save money.
      I'd love the peeler. When peeling severel vegetables, to make something, I would then use the peels to make vegetable peel soup, just add meat if desired, and eat.
