Nick Hall this guy is awesome i asked him how the mosin cleaning kit worked and he helped figure it out made a vid also.glad he helped you out also took time to make vid and everthing thanks Gungeek for all your help.
Good video ... I was cocking the bolt and it got stuck ... so I tried to twist it to get it unstuck and it popped out ... but she's back in and sorted ...
Don't know where you live or if you got it new, but in Canada we called SIR (now Cabelas) and they got us parts but I think most Mossberg dealers could get you parts.
its been in the family since its been brand new i got it from my dad for Christmas a few years ago. I'll have to look around here in Kansas for a Dealer.
I turned the bolt to the decocked position, I havent been able to get it back, it feels like it is locked or something. Is there something that i need to push or turn to make it move?
My first “budget divorce rifle.” $285 for a 270 ain’t a bad price for the amount of food I’ve put in the freezer. But I have had it fail to fire on 2 occasions.😡🙄
@@Gungeek first time was a broke firing pin. Moss berg fixed it free of charge. This second time(a few days ago) dirty bolt. It’s since been cleaned. My neglect in cleaning cost me a HUGE buck. Live and learn.
Can you post how to disassemble the ejector down to the pin/spring/ejector? Friend of mine's has stuck below the face of the bolt from an overpressure LakeCity round and I'd like to take a peek myself before a gunsmith. Running a MVP in .5.56. Thanks!
+Devon Couch that huskavarna symble is no ring or crown like a lot of people think it's a front sight. That's were the started. They also make bikes and owns the KTM brand. Along with a gazillions other brands and products.
the mvp bolt is very similar to the ATR and it IS a press fit which is the poorest design ever, it is the weak link of the bolt. My brand new .308 scout bolt did in fact fly apart and I had to send the entire rifle back. The material is very thin and light It needs to be welded or threaded and made beefier or the best design is milled from a single piece. I think mossberg needs to address this and possibly send everyone a new redesigned bolt, it could be in fact a dangerous situation. search catastrophic bolt action rifle failures, I don't think this bolt design would hold up to what has happened to other bolt action rifle designs, like a mauser or HOWA or Savage
my ejector pin had some trash stuck in it keeping it down wouldn't eject the rounds. Your video helped find and solve that. Thanks!!
I subscribed to your channel based on the 100 atr video and have been a fan ever since.

Good video! You go over it then show it, it's great bc now I know what to expect before it happens and don't have to rewind to see what just happened.

should be able to twist it back you're just fighting the firing pin spring. :)
***** well that spring is kicking my @$$. Thank you for the help!
Stephen Snow did you get it back?
***** not yet. The bolt has always been really stiff, I have put several hundred rounds through it but it still feels like it is right out of the box
Stephen Snow I would like to be more help but would have to see it.
