- This is a very easy to work with bolt, requiring no tools. Much easier to take this apart and clean with the rest of the rifle to ensure a nice clean firing pin motion.
This bolt is from the 22-250 model, but should be the same, as far as I’m aware, for the rest of the centerfire Patriot rifles.
Excellent video. Short, to the point, with no needless blather or background music to distract.
Eric McCabe Thank you!
Shortest straight to the point videos I have ever seen, you turned what I thought would have been a nightmare in to a pleasant job.
saved me a trip to the gun shop! THANK YOU!!!!
Finally, a video showing this. Thank you, I was in a rush and didn't have the time to figure it out
Great video. Thanks brother. Needed a simple video to do this and ran into yours and it’s all I need cuz you did a perfect job man.
Great video, probably the best one I’ve seen at assembly and disassembly of this rifle part. Thank you!
Thank you for the video Walmart had are bolt in ready to fire we had spent an hour trying to get it to go in until we gave up and looked on here it really helped us thank you
Great Video! Owner's Manual Does Not tell you how to take the bolt apart! You made it simple! Thanks🇺🇸
You're awesome. It looks so easy now, thank you!
thank you a lots for this tutorial, now I know how to open my mossberg's bolt!
Great video! Just got one in 308. The user manuel leaves a lot to be desired. Thanks for taking the time to show me this
Great video!! Thank for the clear instructions. I was able to fix the issue right away. I love that it was straight to the point!
Nice video straight-to-the-point
Nice ! Thanks for the help
Right on. Short and sweet. Had a primer blow out. Filled my bolt with brass. Works now.
Does the brass stop your trigger from resetting? I have been trying to find out whats wrong with my bolt.
@@TouringOx never did in my case. Just wouldn’t set off the primmer. Didn’t struck hard or deep enougg
Good tutorial! Thanks and nicely done! 👍
Thank you!
Dang. That was super easy. Thanks

Good video bro!
This is a great video. Easy to follow.
I do have a problem,y bolt is extracted, but it's in the FIRED position. I don't even know how that happened.
How do I disassemble and reassemble it now.?
Thanks
Very good informative video, can you show to remove the ejector pls - thanks.
I got the one with the oversized bolt handle
Thanks very helpful. I have a 30/06. The pin in mine disappeared. The gunsmith said it split in half and must of fallen out. Have you heard of this?
Totally subscribed, you seem cool
I greatly appreciate your kind words, I’m glad I could help. It’s been a minute since I’ve put anything up on here, things have been hectic, but any suggestions on something to do? I’d be glad to entertain any ideas
Great video! A friend has a patriot .308. It’s new. The bolt is very hard to close, even without ammo in the gun. It takes allot of force pushing forward to close. Any tips or ideas? Thanks
David Bird lube it and use it some. Mines smooth as butter from factory
I have a 6.5 prc the bolt comes apart ever 3 to 4 shots and I have to clean the hole in the bolt face to put it back together. Mossberg says nothing wrong have yall seen this?
Does bolt handle come off so u can swap out
Does there need to be lube inside the bolt?
I turned the piece the wrong direction now it's stuck in I think a cocked position
Is the handle upgradeable?
My mossberg patriot .308 and won’t eject brass what should I do ?
It’s brand new
How do u turn the bolt back if you turn it the opposite direction in the beginning
Have you figured it out? If so, I need to know as well haha
Edit: I figured it out. Take a socket about the size of the silver tab and while your pulling the black thing push the silver tab with the socket and rotate the tab at the same time.
@@phantomgbeats1703 you should make a video of this
turned mine the wrong way. anyone know how to reset it
Nikolai Eschuk do you mean you turned it the wrong way when taking it apart or going back together?
@@09johnkeeg figured it out. Turned it the wrong way when taking out and released the firing pin spring. Had to manually re cock it
I did the same thing how did you release the spring?
@@cameroncross2016 used an 18mm socket to pull on the silver tab. It had alot of spring tension. Was tough. Saw some guy on UA-cam do it with a vice but didn't want to damage my bolt so I got someone to hold it
I did the same thing, is there a video showing how to manually re cock it?
