    I don't know if anybody mentioned it alteady or not, but you're approaching that bolt disassembly the hard way. Those were designed to be super simple. Forego the screwdriver... just grab the end and twist, it will pop right off. When reassembling, its almost as easy... slide the read assembly into the bolt, stand it on its end, push down and twist... pops right back in. You just need decent grip strength, and there are no tools necessary! Mossberg made that super convenient.

    An easy way to disassemble that bolt is put a strong piece of wire in a vice by forming a loop. Put the lug portion of the bolt in the wire and then pull on it which will allow you to easily turn the bolt to disasseble it. A good wire that I use is from Chinese food containers.

    I used a standard slip joint pliers to grab and lift that spring loaded mechanism that you used the screwdriver on.

    I like a bolt gun for a hard use gun. I have a couple of the thunder ranch version Mossberg MVP's in 308. They both shoot lights out. I was pretty surprised because they are pretty affordable rifles. I have a few higher end custom bolt guns and that are slightly more accurate but not enough to really matter in real life. If I do my part both MVPs will print 1 inch at 100 with 147gr to 168gr ammo. Anything heavier than 168gr and accuracy suffers because the twist rate can't stabilize the heavier projectiles.

    Mine is chambered in 7.62x51 nato or 308win. And it takes both AR10 mags or M1A1 mags, These are great little rifles.

    Dude i didn't even know they made these. I'm not a Mossberg fan but I'm getting one of these. How good does it shoot? They have it in 224 Valkyrie, 308 that takes ar10 AND m14 mags, 6.5 creedmore, and 556. This is bad ass and the price isn't that bad

    🚒 For 5.56 what's the best type of cartridge for self defense vs "range ammo"? With 5.56 does it matter that much opposed to JHP for my pistol?

    Hardened steel is not a sponge, it cannot absorb oil. Too much oil just attracts dust and dirt.. Do you really think forged steel absorbs oil ? I love to tinker with my firearms, but watch a couple videos from Gunblue490, he was an armorer for Smith and Wesson and Ruger. He opened my eyes regarding the oil I was using.

    Someone probably said it already.
    But a fluted barrel not only reduces weight, but it adds surface area to quicken barrel cooling.
    That's a good bipod. I have the same one on my Mossberg 308 Bolt action. (Mine is a shorty)
    What kind of scope are you running?
    I should really upgrade the scope I have on mine.
    (But scopes are sooo expensive. I don't want stick a $1,500 scope on a $1,000 rifle. Lol)

    Rick, I'm recently purchased an AR from PSA. After disassembly, inspection, cleaning and lubricating reassembly I believe I have more oil on my hands and then there's actually on the weapon how many said that. I'm having a hard time with the charging handle since most of the ARs were a colt manufacturer which I purchased second hand I didn't want to have a problem with that till now. Any suggestions? Thank you and have a great day by the way that's a sweet rifle I can see that being very accurate. Take care

    • @catsspat
      @catsspat 2 роки тому +1

      Unclear question. "having a hard time with the charging handle?" What does that even mean? Does most of (YOUR???) AR's being Colt manufactured have something to do with the question? What?

    • @mrbuilder2k383
      @mrbuilder2k383 2 роки тому

      @@catsspat the charging handle is difficult to pull back. The Colt I own was manufactured in 1990 and I bought a second hand that's all thanks anyway

    • @catsspat
      @catsspat 2 роки тому +1

      @@mrbuilder2k383 Are you saying it's dragging on something (compatibility issues / bent somewhere)? Or are you saying the handle is hard to grab because it's too narrow? You should be able to buy all kinds of funky shaped aftermarket charging handle to suit your needs. I've not heard of compatibility issues with any of them.
      Or maybe the buffer spring is just new & strong, relative to your other firearms. shrug

    • @Idogames4
      @Idogames4 2 роки тому +2

      @@mrbuilder2k383 I think Wolff sells a reduced power buffer spring if its a real problem.

    • @mrbuilder2k383
      @mrbuilder2k383 2 роки тому

      @@Idogames4 thank you for your reply. I did call PSA they do sell larger ones with a better more beefier rip into it instead of the standard Stoner type charging handle. I just think it needs to be worked it's new it doesn't have any problems extracting other than it's just hard to pull back that's all well I'll keep working it every day and check the lube every once in awhile. Thank you

    Okay, let’s revisit the 313 thing.
    I’m probably not explaining this very good.
    Also, at this point I’m not sure what is
    original question.
    313 is the ONLY telephone area code for
    the entire city of Detroit in Michigan.
    313 is another reference / meaning for Detroit.
    If someone in Michigan sees 313 they say Detroit. One of your viewers has 313 as part
    of his name. It means he is from Detroit or
    a fan of Detroit. Hope this helps. If not,
    state the question again.
    Hugs to all the critters….,,.
