- Noisemaker is fun, I had fun with it on Team Fortress's birthday.
Little bit of a filler video but I had fun making it.

They should give spy a throwable noise maker/decoy type item for his sapper slot which can make a variety of noises from footsteps to decloak sounds and spam particle effects. I imagine it'd kind of be like the decoy grenade in Call of Duty that makes footsteps sounds, in that it would be okay/bad against bad players, but powerful against good players.
I like this idea

They really weren't kidding about uncletopia being sweaty... In half of these clips they're hunting you down like you're the most dangerous creature in existence.
And obviously Dane himself will scramble at any chance to "disprove" that.
The parts where people hear you and press their own noisemaker in response are absolutely adorable.

I've occasionally done similar, but not with the noise maker, but by binding the "nice shot" voiceline and just hiding near snipers. It drives them nuts.

@@alex.g7317 Don't disguise? Or are you asking how to bind a voiceline? You can google the second one. Enemies hear your voicelines, so snipers that aren't entirely braindead usually react and start swinging their knives around wildly to try and find me.

It's most fun to call the Engineer a spy while he keeps looking for you, to no avail.
I loved the pyro who just walked past it, then i imagine they froze like “wait a second” and then came back and killed you without any further hesitation

@@Whomobile true but the difference is you have to commit to a whole taunt, and the fire sounds drown out the funny fart sound. Now if a noise maker let's you use it even while cloaking, and that is not something the thruster could ever do
Noisemakers should be a part of Hide and Seek gamemode.
A few years ago I did this during Smissmas and named myself "The Spirit of Christmas"
People got a kick out of it lmao
In 2020 I became "Santa Hoovy", playing only as heavy with mittens and gave out enough gifts to reach Saxton's Own "spirit of giving", giving out maybe a dozen or so gifts per round.
Surprisingly there were quite a few times when people wanted to kick me, not bc of the noise but bc they thought I was some kind of bot, and I was fairly active on the objective, too.

Ah, The old noise maker. There was a server in which they allowed this to be used 'sparingly.' Naturally, I bound my noisemaker to my 'd' key and went Caber Screen demo. This was way before the matchmaking update and before the thing was nerfed. Specifically, it was a 2fort map and I tended to just terrorize people. I miss that server. I'm pretty sure they didn't miss me, though. You'd see a charging demo, then nothing, then a burst of confetti as I fell to my death usually. You could hear me from a mile away. It didn't matter.
the best thing about tf2 is you can just have fun with it and not take it seriously then you can get a 9 man chain stab in the same life
one of the stock sound effects they used for it sounded so familiar and i couldn't tell why at first, but eventually i remembered it's used as a horn for some characters in mario kart 8 (deluxe)
so there's that little nugget of information

This was hilarious haha. I've only tried being a normal Spy while actively spamming the Noisemaker on cooldown just to see how much I can still get away with (hint: not much since I'm a bad Spy). I haven't thought of just sitting to see how they'll react, that's great.
I love how some people had noisemakers of there own. Also I didn't realise you were regional to Aus/NZ servers, Whomobile.
Lol, I did the exact same thing that day. I "hid" on spy rocks and stuff to prevent people bumping into me and killing me instantly despite being friendly (thanks EU Uncletopia players) and I even had a teammate join in! I'm definitely doing it again at Smissmas.
Also, it turns out that these noise makers do not have unlimited uses; after enough spamming the game told me so. A map change re-enables the noise maker.

Uncletopia actually has the most toxic and tryhard community in TF2
idk why everyone is dunking on Uncletopia when I've found it to be way more friendly and accepting than a lot of casual games I've played for the last 3 months, Maybe the Aus servers are more chill idk.

on birthday day I bound the noisemaker to WASD, spacebar and E so I was just constantly ringing it as I played the game and after a couple hours I just couldnt play tf2 during the birthday anymore because it was driving ME insane

man this video just like. perfectly points out what i hate about uncletopia. notice how 90% of the time when a player notices you they just, instantly murder you without question instead of appreciating the joke since uncletopia players cannot comprehend having fun in a video game

I used to use the black cat noise maker and spam it while cnd'd back when there was a line you could put in your config to have never ending uses. Miss that bug, the noise makers been dormant with 12 uses left for years ;__;

it would likely be more successful in a casual server where people are used to the noisemaker particles from bots rendering in seemingly random places since the bot is outside of the currently rendered area
kinda late but god those bots were traumatizing

Thats something I dislike about Uncletopia.
No one is willing to just laugh at a loud spy. No they *HAVE* to get that kill for le epic gamer moments.
I wish people would just stop, see this spy being blatantly obvious with the noise maker, literally not doing anything useful for his respective team, and just laugh.
hmm depends on the region you're in I guess, I find the Aus servers to be full of friendly regulars but I can see other areas having more tryhards.
Also in the video lots of players did just leave me alone! I did have a lot of takes of people ignoring me too which don't make good video content.

You may have done that, but I binded all of my movement keys to +use_action_slot_item so whenever I moved around it'll make the noise untill I reach the cap for spamming it

Yeah I'm kinda baffed too, aus servers are very chill and most players were having fun when I did this and either ignored me, had fun chasing me around or joined in.
Tbh from my experience aus uncletopia is less sweaty than aus casual
@@Whomobile it’s the internet, when people get something stuck in their head for some reason everyone believes it fervently. Uncletopia = tryhard, so that’s what people gonna say it’s like forever lol. Only thing I can say is that it doesn’t have the same feel as casual no matter how friendly people are, just not as fun
