Just got a club fitting for the LS, it was a monster. I was super impressed with the standard shaft lin-q white x-stiff I had better dispersion with this shaft than a Ventus blue.

I’m a cobra fan so I might be biased but I love the blacked out look…to me it’s the best look of any club this year. Thanks for the comparison to last years model.

I have the DS LS and absolutely love it. I’m at sea level and my swing speed is under 110 mph, I can drive greens at 300 yards. I carry 275 - 290 and the club is definitely more forgiving than expected. I loved it so much I bought the 5W LS as well and that is my 250 club straight as an arrow.
Found a DS LS new for $400 and I'm pulling the trigger without even trying it for that price! Can't wait to get it on the range!

Would interesting to see you get fit for all the new drivers and see if you end up in different shafts or not for each. Love to see your thoughts on the tpt shafts since the creeping to in tour bags again and long drive
I'm going to try to get my hands on the TPT shafts. I did a fitting a couple years back and the same shaft doesn't seem to translate over to different heads. I mean it'll still give you good results but I'd like to test that again. Thanks for your feedback. 🍻🍻
Really like your reviews. I'd like to see you do a ball/driver brand shoot out. So Titleist ball and driver vs Srixon ball and driver vs Wilson vs Callaway vs Taylormade vs Top Fight...etc.

I still have that driver. It is a Bomber! I ditched my TM M3 for that when it came out. I did a LTDx vs Aerojet LS comparison last year and they were really close.
That's a cool looking driver. It's Batman. I just bought an LTDX driver at a good discount. Can't beat Cobra when it comes to metal woods.
Shafts I have tried T1100, smoke green, TPT power (want to try nitro but what a price) and ventus Tr black 🎉

Just got this as an upgrade from my LTDxLS.. anxious to see how it plays.. for the record i LOVE my current set up, but its going on 3yrs old so figuring its time for the upgrade.. the current driver gave me a solid 15-20 yrds extra simply because of the launch and spin so hoping to keep what i have and maybe gain ~>5 yds on average

Yeah me too, i’m a 110mph swingspeed and no complaints whatsoever. And guess what? I just ordered the new LS. Just makes me happy 😊
I just purchased the ltdx black version and it basically looks the same and I would say it performs basically the same as well.
Recently got fit into the Darkspeed X with an aftermarket shaft. I fully expect to be fit into an LS since I swing around 120 mph (or faster if I really get after it) but the dispersion was more consistent with the X. Plus more carry distance, it just didn’t roll as far as the LS. It beat the LS and the other top brands when looking at smash factor also.
I picked up 10 mph ball speed with the DS LS, and my dispersion rate was tighter than my TSR3 driver. It was enough of a difference that I went ahead and bought the new driver.

Well good thing with the release of Dark Speed, is that we could get to buy Aerojet LS at cheaper price but with similar performance. Darkspeed definitely got the cooler look though, but you may still get the very cool look of 50th Anniversary Aerojet LS for a 100 bucks cheaper! So, either way, its good news for all cobra fans out there!

Dark Bomber!!
I have a problem with their shaft offering - all low penetrating focused, hence less carry and more roll. Can you recommend a good high launch shaft? Or would it not work with the new LS, since the head is designed for a low penetrating launch?
Take look at the A series from LA golf. My buddy needed a higher launch shaft and that worked really well for him. It'll still work with the LS head. You can also try to move the weight back in the head. You can also try a higher lofted head.

Still using the F9 line and can’t complain
Just picked up the Darkspeed LS, I have had an F9 as my backup ever since it came out as I’ve upgraded throughout the years, and couldn’t agree more the F9 will always be ol’ reliable.
How do you like the LS compared to F9?

Watching this again, but I had time to think about Driver Names.... but I could be down with Cobra Django Max, Cobra Django (standard), Cobra Django Unhinged (LS Version) Stupid.... but it made me laugh thinking about it. From the Quinten Tarantino film Django unchained. Also, I've been using the Cobra Dark Speed 3+ wood, it's phenomenal.

shouldve tried the 8 degree head aswell since it is a diffrent headshape than the 9 and 10.5 head
I only got 3 heads to test. I'll get to test out that 8* LS head when the full fitting kits come in.
@@NewNineGolf my guess is that you will see some beastly distances with it. for me it was about 10-15 extra carry, 20 extra total compared to the 9.

Yes! My favorite shaft was the Tour AXS blue which is the a series now. It was "accidentally" tipped too much when I swapped adapters. Need to get my hands on a new one. Haha

I don’t think the new LS is better than Aerojet. You can’t get 2 mph faster with aerodynamics when both heads had the same size and same high skirt. The dark speed has a more rounded crown. That won’t get 2 mph. You just swung it a tad faster. The Aerojet face was faster in your test. But I’m pretty sure they are the same and you just had some better strikes with the Aerojet LS. Doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade unless you like the matte black better.
Seen a bunch of reviews and this new darkspeed has been faster for just about everyone I’ve seen test it
I watched a comparison video last night of the Dark Speed LS and the Aerojet LS. The biggest difference was the dynamic loft. The Dark Speed LS was almost 3 degrees lower, giving you more roll out capability than the Aerojet. Other than that, they were almost identical. The most noticeable was the dispersion with the Dark Speed , which was tighter by 5 yards.
This was done by a pro. Same shaft, same ball.
I think LTDx is Cobra's best golf club. It has a high balance of distance, forgiveness and good feeling.
Aerojet had improved ball speed and maximum distance, but feeling and stability have deteriorated.
Is ball speed and distance still the top priority for DarkSpeed? I don't think I will buy this club unless DarkSpeed has a total balance that surpasses LTDX.
The LTDx is a great driver for sure.
I'll have to do more testing with the Darkspeed but I was impressed with the Darkspeed X right out of the bat. Seems to be a good balance.
I would call it the FireBlade. Don't know if that name has been used.

This guy has a following but if you guys have a cobra driver and it seems wierd, look through the weight ports and through the shaft port and like mine it is probably broken
Im not sure whats happening with your driver. But you should contact Cobra or where you bought it from and get it warrantied.

A lot of UA-camrs seem to get better numbers with the DarkSpeed X model.

It could. Depends on if you need less spin? And also the shaft would play a big part into it. Do you need more forgiveness? I would go and test it out against the Darkspeed X and Max and compare.

How does Darkspeed Max compare to Aerojet Max compare to LTDx Max and the AirX.
Haven't hit the Air X. Lightweight club but all depend if it suits your swing. From the LTDx line to the Darkspeed. I would say theres a slight improvement in forgiveness. Aerojet and LTDx was pretty comparable. When I did my testing the Aerojet was longer but it was minimal and couldve been just that session.
Naming a driver range: F1 fast on all types of course, but not forgiving; Indy500 loud, forgiving, and keeps the ball always in view with tight dispersion; NASCAR heavy, not so fast, but even tighter dispersion.
I would name a driver: LongBallenSmashinBoomer.

My ltd x ls driver is all the way broken on the inside no joke. If you guys are hitting a cobra driver and it sounds wierd in the middle, it is most likely broken
I bought a cheap driver years ago, I was hitting it long and straight then something broke inside, it got replaced by a better more expensive driver. It never performed as well 😡 shame really, and I don’t know what brand it was, Chinese I guess.

I can’t relate to any of this. Ball speeds approaching 120, club speed 170+, distance 340.
I’m beginning to think these drivers are really only made for high speed golfers. It doesn’t pay for the average Joe to spend obscene amount of money on these overpriced drivers to get the full value back IMO.
It’s certainly relative and I get that not everyone swings at my speed. The best way for you to find out is to hit them yourself. I’d be really interested if you put your current driver up against some new ones to see if you notice improvements.
Please do not buy anything cobra, I made the mistake as a new golfer to buy the ltd x ls. The longest driver in the world does not use this garbage
In fact he does. When the LTDx was the current driver I played with Kyle Berkshire who was indeed using an LTDx LS. Bummer it didn’t work out for you.

Not getting paid. I do like Cobra woods though. I try to do my best as far as giving some technical info, some opinion as well as the data. Based on all the comments in my videos, I get paid by TM, Titleist, Cobra, Mizuno, Srixon, Takomo, PXG lol. I try not to be negative as i get that my results will not be everyone's results.
